It was a great vacation. We could not fault about the hotel, the service and the food tell. From the staff were all wishes of the eyes and tried this to fulfill. The hotel is actually really a bit outdated. Half of the hotel room in the back part the hotel are not belegtbar, as partly in renovierungszustand or even completely 'age' condition, however from the guests also not available. The livable rooms are but very homely decorated. A obstschale to welcome, every day was the room thoroughly cleaned, there was fresh towels. Mostly in the late afternoon again the ... room presented. All service staff always friendly, everyone greeted friendly-jambo!. During our stay were in this hotel only a few guests, actually a great shame. The dinner each evening was very expensive, always at different places in the hotel - times directly at the beach, times by the pool, times in the hotel, time in palm trees garden and so on - presented and always with local entertainment.
Excursions were able to place on the tour operator be booked, were however then a lot more expensive, as if you have private providers there bay. We have here in Germany on a german, the already for 17 years live there, the excursions booked and carried out - was perfect.
The only really annoying the beach boys at the beach, the every day their were for very overpriced price offered. There one must, really very firm and nice decline politely, or act, until the price true. For souvenirs in a state shop go, since are the prices ok and you need not act. The beach at the hotel was guarded, the beach boys had no entry. Surprisingly was the long decline in the sea at low tide. Around 300 to 400 meters went the water back, which we however the wonderful possibility gave, the reef in front of the hotel on foot to celebrate. As it is but definitely required, shoes to wear. The reef was very edgy and there are some creatures there, you even don't see and to the one not apply should. To this trip, we have a nice beach boy Hassan found. He could super german and had very good knowledge of flora and fauna in the reef. Snorkeling in the sea in front of the hotel was possible, but to see there nothing special. Most a trip right for snorkelling book. Since you have more of it.
So, vacation was great - again and again. read more

The hotel is for playa tambor in Kenya very recommendable. Culinary it is absolutely brilliant. Daily at least one meat- or fish dishes on the plate for each prepared. The vegetables and the fruits are fresh and clean. The offer is versatile. The sports/leisure facilities, including a 50 meters swimming pool, which only adults offered, the fitness center, the spa and the entertainment one is in good hands.
The hotel is great, however you just couldn't forget, that you still in a 3. world land is. So only no rush... read more

First impression: beautiful well-kept garden area with waterways and lots of small bridges (japanese model?), 2 pools, a hot tub, chairs in good condition, towels for free, also couches at the beach, under palmdächern. The hotel itself is after first impression well maintained, after 2. but are shortcomings: bathroom trimmings dated, air conditioning centrally controlled, so i can't be adjusted. Rooms equipped with all necessary things: ac, tv, king size bed, seating area, refrigerator, safe, hair dryer, kettle for coffee and tea, big balcony.
Food: in the first half of my stay modest. Morning buffet late opened, full offer only ... in the course of the morning, sometimes without alternation. Dinner buffet better, but also here several flaws (offer not yours, service (30% friendly, 70% na ja ) also at the front desk. In the 2. half my holidays noticeably better, change in management, more extensive buffet, better prepared, better service, dinner partly at the beach, partly in the garden or otherwise outside the dining room. Performance of the kitchen around 100% increase.
Guest structure: by age and nationalities mixed, at the weekend more local from Mombasa and nairobi.
Negative: too high cost for the use of the internet or lack of access to a few free empfangsorten (some bars).

The hotel has it best times behind itself. The furniture in the public rooms are dirty and run-down. The complex is also only partially open. The cleanliness in almost all areas leaves much to be desired. The breakfast buffet is always the same no variety and rather in indian guests orientated. The same is with the supper. In the first week every evening exactly the same given. Only the meat between chicken, beef and lamb were changed. The wine list is a joke half of the wines are listed were not in stock. Very many indian guests which also for ... the food massive noticeable makes. read more

Initially I would like to say, that I the previous bad review do not understand. We have four days before and 13 days after our safari and were more than satisfied. The rooms are cleaned thoroughly every day, ' Marks' of the previous or similar we could not found. Once during our stay even all pillows away and replaced.
Short before our arrival I in the hotel via e-mail at room on the last floor, as well as in Aufzugsnähe asked (our disabled Mother accompanied us). Both wishes were (after my email yet on the same day answered) met-this fits ... in with the really perfect service this hotel. During our 4-day safari was our mother, the does not speak no word English, alone in the hotel. We have a front desk employee pointed out and asked, during our absence a little after your look to let. This has more than good works. Several employees in the service area, the German, were extra for your care 'turned off', apart from that it was anticipated your every wish. This really sensational great service we could in all areas -certain special requests or extras were immediately registered and then next time taken into account.
That the hotel already a little' is somewhat older', had for me personally even a conscience charm. If you have the fantastic lobby ( where there is already an aquarium as floor) enters or in the wonderful Zebra bar sits, it is no matter wether somewhere a bit worn or chipped is. Perhaps they should also consider, where you are and like it a few more meters outside of the hotel appears. 'dirt' we have nowhere seen.
The furniture in the room consists of Rattan and not from particle board. The bathroom ( note: great water pressure in the shower) would really be a bit of refurbishment. The water is really at the start slightly brownish, the lost but after longer walk ( we are in Afrika.). Safe and mini bar ( empty) free of charge, ZDF-front desk, adjustable air conditioning. Great are the existing bathrobes. A liter bottle of still mineral water ( to brush your teeth, coffee to ready or similar), daily complimentary made available.
The food was very good: generous breakfast buffet with different homemade marmelade, honey and other spreads, homemade pancakes and crepes, eggs in all variants, the freshly prepared be, different types of bread, rolls, cakes, muffins eTC. Fruit, yoghurt, cereals, cheese and sausage ( each 1 sort). 3 different kinds of milk ( low fat, -and lactose-free)-if you to moan has. The dinner buffet has daily changed (in the 1 week rhythm). There is an Indian corner (!) apart from that daily 3 different side dishes ( potatoes in all variants, rice, pasta ), selections of vegetables, different soups, daily fish, change between chicken, Lamb and Beef, daily very delicious alternative for vegetarians, great and varied Salatecke, Knoblauchbrötchen, fresh baked Nan ( Pita bread). A Nachspeisenecke with daily changing pudding, mousse and cakes, as well as ice cream.
The beach daily cleaned in the morning, the loungers are the convenient, on which we have a beach located; the move represents a real problem dar, because you will be charged the help of one of the service staff or the security is. It is true, that the loungers partly somewhat affected. On request you will however immediately exchanged. You could get towels so much, as you like. Drinks and food at the beach serves. At 16:00 o'clock you got a refreshing towel and fruit skewer ( by Animationsmitarbeitern distributed).
Free Wi-Fi in the fins bar at the beach, zebra bar, and 360-degree-bar.
The entertainment is very unobtrusive and discreet. Evenings no later than 23. Hours (rather earlier) is conclusion-the perfect choice for those wishing to relax can spend.
The location is perfect: with the Matatu respectively, small trains one is fast with the Barclays bank (ATM works with Visa-map) or the nakumatt. Diagonally opposite of the hotel are a small shopping center ( left ), as well as the Moiz boutique (right).
In the spa area I have a pedicure and manicure make let. With the treatment I was very satisfied. Everything is very well maintained. The prices correspond German standard
The beach boys were this year extremely present (not to say pushy and annoying), as in the neighboring leisure lodge hardly tourists were and the leopard ( neighboring hotel leisure lodge) because of a fire is closed until further notice. The security were more than once in selling conversations involved, because partially impudent price were asked ( for example 120, -€ for a trip to the reef ) respectively arrivals guests of up to 20 beachboys were besieged.
Helps only the 'eyes-to-and-principle' -we nevertheless not walks on the beach respectively the swim in the sea let.
In short: who a five star hotel to European standard expected, will surely drawbacks. Since we Kenya know, was aware of this. The wonderful atmosphere and the first class service this hotel felt enchanted - we will be back! read more

We can only recommend the hotel. All the furnishings and decoration we really loved it. The room offers everything you need. The variety and quality of the dishes are unbeatable. The only thing what we complain about is of the pool bar - too expensive and the beverages in old plastic Bescher serves, what the price is not. Altogether are the prices from the drinks too expensive, but there is supermarket nearby where man very cheap shopping. We will definitely come back again. read more

To the hotel general is already more than anything written. We were because of the multiple negative reviews a bit skeptical, but were nevertheless pleasantly surprised. I really liked the hotel. We had a double room with a sea view booked for 2 nights before the safari and 5 nights after the safari. Both rooms were bright and friendly decorated and really clean. The condition of the bathroom was excellent. The cleaning of the rooms folded smoothly, by eleven was the room finished. Change of towels found 2 times daily. If the first cargo from morning already used is evenings ... once again changed.
We found the service in general as very friendly and attentive, especially in the restaurant. We had as in some reviews written never much too long on drinks wait.
The drink prices are dependent on the season. We stayed for a soda between 150 and 200 Schilling paid, Tusker cost 280 schillings. In my view appropriate for a 4, five star hotel. It becomes expensive direction cocktails and other alcoholic beverages. Personally not important for me, since I had not such a thing as good as never drink.
We had the half board booked which I personally was totally sufficient. Who at noon still want to eat- the prices are really high. Then consider, whether board does.
The food was in my eyes more than good. Breakfast and dinner with a varied selection and great taste. If you didn't find anything there you can in my opinion not more to help. Especially I would like to highlight the choice and quality the desserts, simply superb!
The hotel was in March not augsgebucht, that's why I have always found a pool chair at the beach or by the pool found. The pool chairs were very comfortable, however very hard to just from one corner to the other to push. Some should be exchanged once, but the majority of is OK. As in all hotels there are also here all criticized, but the ' couches Belegerei in the early morning'.
I for my part the hotel can recommend, as mentioned but you should consider, whether one half board or board needs. You can here very cheap vacation make (seasonal) in comparison to other hotels awarded half board and fewer stars are more expensive. Supermarkets are in the immediate area, so that one also times with a charge drinks can stock up on. You can one at noon also times outside of the hotel food, possibilities there are plentifully and for cheap prices. read more

The negative opinions this hotel I cannot agree with. A four and a half stars hotel in Kenya is not in Germany to comparisons! We had a double room (and half board) with a view of the garden, or at the pool, or at the sea. The rooms are big and clean, the beds comfortable with mosquito net. Tv, Boil water for coffee and tea available, as well as a mini bar -a plate of fruit the front desk ready. Plenty of storage space was also available, as well as bathrobes. Air conditioning is individually adjustable. The bathroom was equipped ... with a shower and clean- towels even 2 times changed daily. Small terrace with a table and 2 chairs. The choice of meals was plentiful and very tasty. During our stay there was sausage and also 2 sorts of cheese. Jams, honey etc. Was in small jars provided. Different yogurts found in a cooler. Any Quantity muesli selection was also available, including several breads and fruit. Who here for breakfast didn't find anything there.
The buffet in the evening was more than plentiful- a few indian and African dishes to meat, fish and pasta, everything was there. Dessert was also in small portions offered. Drinks were brought immediately. Very chic the BBQ at the beach aligned. Except the main restaurant there is still the sea food and grill restaurant, as well as an Oriental restaurant (Reservation)
The garden is beautifully designed, with a river and small bridges. At the beach chairs sufficiently available -the ' beach chairs reservers' you find in every other hotel as well.
Before and after our safari we had 2 different rooms (the suitcase in a separate, locked room in the hotel stored)
Various water sports are offered-but we didn't use it. Also for the kids is in the mini club provided. In the hotel there was a small casino with 3 roulette tables and 25 slot machines. Gym is available, as well as a spa area.
Laundry was great- until 10 o'clock made, until 18 o'clock again in the room.
I can recommend the hotel. read more

A classic five star hotel you can't wait rooms are clean but in need of renovation, the outdoor area was very well-kept, a huge large mango is the service, one wait eternally for a drinks, partly an hour.
