Very nice in a perfect location-located hotel, but a little older and in need of renovation. Beginning january the weather was with 32 °c and the ocean with 27 degrees lovely and just to enjoy. Every 3. day the dinner outdoors either in the palm garden or at the pool, which we liked very much. The quality of the buffet was always great, the selection of the dishes, however, often repeated. The hotel has a very beautiful well-kept area and was located directly on the beautiful Diani Beach. The coworkers are very much endeavored the area and the rooms clean. Service and friendliness very good. The rooms from their size, but the bathroom is a bit dated. At our time of travel the hotel was not fully booked and thus gave it at the beach also no fight for pool chairs or anything like that. In the hotel there were mainly german tourists of all ages.     Rooms are large and clean. The bathroom has aged somewhat and some, noteworthy repairs behind itself. Even if the bathroom is not perfect, it was clean and that was for us the most important.     The breakfast buffet and the dinner was plentiful and generally very good. What we and also different german guests didn't bother us, were the desserts at dinner.     The staff are very friendly and willing to help. There was no request, the us was not fulfilled. Some staff have good german. The service is really 5 star standard. Our room was cleaned thoroughly every day. On the service we can't complain about anything there.

    Entertainment none! Every night and the two weeks were african dances shown, after 20 minutes past were. In the long run it was quite boring. Most of the guests including we saved us the evening entertainment. In the first week we experienced except the 20 one-minute evening entertainment no entertainment. Around 22:00 until 11:00 p. m. in the evening were in the hotelbars the lights, no matter, whether we were still sat there and a cocktail had light from end of workday. A german family had after a week it sick of it and in the neighboring hotel changed. Only after a family checked out has, have activities such as beach volleyball, water polo, gruppenstrandspaziergänge and many more instead of found. A shame that only people have to change, before doing something. Then the entertainment was super. Beach is very clean and with plenty of sun loungers. The hotel beach is in our opinion the best part of the Diani Beach. Through the nearby reef a snorkeling paradise. Swimming is without shoes possible, since the reef only farther back finds. Beach 5 stars!

    The hotel is directly at the beautiful white sandy beach. The beach is amazing, if it were not the beachboys, the everything totally overpriced wish to sell. At the beach there were guards, the prevented the beachboys on the beach chairs in the tourists go. If you wanted to swim in the ocean, blow but first 'fight'. If you're just looking for a word with a beachboy changes and a polite 'no thank you' is, has lost. We were harassed and insulted, because we didn't bought! Just ignore them, no answer is the best solution. To the airport Mombasa you can travel approximately 1.5 to 2.0 hours-depending on the traffic and wait for the ferry, which one needs around the other side and thus the airport. Outside of the hotel area (about 1 kilometer) you will find a supermarket (german prices or higher) and a souvenir shop after the other, as well as banks. Two wings of the hotel are closed. The renovations rest. Probably was missing on the money and to guests. The 143 rooms were maximum to the half occupied, which in itself is good. Unfortunately suffered including the entertainment. Clear, there was' dead '. Every evening some dances, every 2. evening by the entertainment team. Luckily we were occasionally five days on safari. A young couple is into another hotel moved, they held the boredom not more. The hotel is overall seen in very good condition. Guests from young to old and various nationalities.     We had a circa 36 square meter large room. Everything, also the bathroom was in order. Safe, telephone, fridge and tv available. Tv reception very bad. The air conditioning is not, as advertized in the catalog, individually adjustable and it was very loud.

    Directly on the beautiful beach. The village of ukunda is located almost right outside the hotel door. The airport is approximately 35 kilometers away and just over the Likoni-ferry attainable. During rush hour you have to take two hours. Shopping center about 50 meters. Transport only taxis.

    Location great, beautiful beach, directly on the sea. Unfortunately because of the architecture of the hotel from about 17 hours no sun at the beach or pool. The garden is very nice. Great beach restaurant. Close to supermarket, easy to walk.

The hotel is recommendable, although a bit worn. The food with indian twist is a bit of getting used to, but for my taste well. Exception: the dessert: the looks super delicious, but cake is unfortunately not cake ☺ The drink prices are about on german level, perhaps an idea cheaper. The african staff are mostly very friendly and helpful. The indian foreman are rather reserved. Oh, the staff were really cash tip-note: the tip on the bill to write the staff unfortunately nothing; the not to. Since the budget bottom line hard and locally change inconvenient to get is ... quiet enough 1 $or 50 or 100 Shilling-notes stock up. If the situation in Mombasa and the surrounding area for the first time seen, makes a little tip for the working society nothing; you are doing something good. Good value for money for seaside holiday, friendly assisting, although not always the fastest. Varied and finely prepared meals (buffet), which beside the restaurant alternately also at the beach or in one of the two garden. After we in the past august about this hotel loved, we booked it again for four nights between two safaris. We knew, that the holder has changed and wanted to see it yourself, to what extent these effects. The hotel belongs to the largest on Diani Beach with its approximately 600 beds. At present, a building renovated, which is why only a half of the bedding is available. But this apparently renovated part should again renovated. I have for august no difference in the room seen, except, that everything is dirty, run-down and the service has become worse. The rooms ... are not well cleaned, the tiles with dirty cloth swept, the beds are now towels as' carpet ' on the floor. At the beach the damaged beach chairs for plastic replaced. The beach is no longer from the seaweed, trash lies at the beach. The beach was the reason for booking, but it is run down. As far as you have to go. There is the Diani beach sections, the beautiful. This was it. The guest structure has also changed. It was once an international hotel. Meanwhile, many africans and indians in the hotel on. Because of the indian owner it is logical. Good hotel in Kenya, staff was always friendly and helpful. Room was cleaned daily. Food every day in another part the hotel ( beach, garden). Prices in the hotel ok. Fantastic beach, unfortunately we had low tide and thus we could not into the sea for swimming. Pool was ok. You are not allowed forget you're in Afrika and there, there are not the german standard. It was a great vacation. We could not fault about the hotel, the service and the food tell. From the staff were all wishes of the eyes and tried this to fulfill. The hotel is actually really a bit outdated. Half of the hotel room in the back part the hotel are not belegtbar, as partly in renovierungszustand or even completely 'age' condition, however from the guests also not available. The livable rooms are but very homely decorated. A obstschale to welcome, every day was the room thoroughly cleaned, there was fresh towels. Mostly in the late afternoon again the ... room presented. All service staff always friendly, everyone greeted friendly-jambo!. During our stay were in this hotel only a few guests, actually a great shame. The dinner each evening was very expensive, always at different places in the hotel - times directly at the beach, times by the pool, times in the hotel, time in palm trees garden and so on - presented and always with local entertainment. After arrival we have the first time complained that the airconditon not work. Despite daily communication with different staff could not repartiert are. We have every day at 30 degrees in the room slept. To 5 days we had enough and left. No one from the management was available? - friendly but incompetent staff - the food in the main restaurant is a catastrophe! The hotel is for playa tambor in Kenya very recommendable. Culinary it is absolutely brilliant. Daily at least one meat- or fish dishes on the plate for each prepared. The vegetables and the fruits are fresh and clean. The offer is versatile. The sports/leisure facilities, including a 50 meters swimming pool, which only adults offered, the fitness center, the spa and the entertainment one is in good hands. Rooms equipped with all necessary things: ac, tv, king size bed, seating area, refrigerator, safe, hair dryer, kettle for coffee and tea, big balcony. Food: in the first half of my stay modest. Morning buffet late opened, full offer only ... in the course of the morning, sometimes without alternation. Dinner buffet better, but also here several flaws (offer not yours, service (30% friendly, 70% na ja ) also at the front desk. In the 2. half my holidays noticeably better, change in management, more extensive buffet, better prepared, better service, dinner partly at the beach, partly in the garden or otherwise outside the dining room. Tips not a must, but it is rewarding customers in the small salaries of the staff. (50-100 keens do the travellers not hurt but help). The drinks prices i think too high. Times apart from the normal drinks (water 220 keens, beer 350 kshs, Cola 200 kshs ),for example - cocktail Piña Colada 1000 keens, or duplicate whisky 1500 kshs simply too expensive. The furniture was rather simple and the bureaus are from clamping plates produced where you even the addresses the vendor can see. Initially I would like to say, that I the previous bad review do not understand. We have four days before and 13 days after our safari and were more than satisfied. The rooms are cleaned thoroughly every day, ' Marks' of the previous or similar we could not found. Once during our stay even all pillows away and replaced. Short before our arrival I in the hotel via e-mail at room on the last floor, as well as in Aufzugsnähe asked (our disabled Mother accompanied us). During our 4-day safari was our mother, the does not speak no word English, alone in the hotel. There is an Indian corner (!) apart from that daily 3 different side dishes ( potatoes in all variants, rice, pasta ), selections of vegetables, different soups, daily fish, change between chicken, Lamb and Beef, daily very delicious alternative for vegetarians, great and varied Salatecke, Knoblauchbrötchen, fresh baked Nan ( Pita bread). A Nachspeisenecke with daily changing pudding, mousse and cakes, as well as ice cream. The beach daily cleaned in the morning, the loungers are the convenient, on which we have a beach located; the move represents a real problem dar, because you will be charged the help of one of the service staff or the security is. We were this year the first time in Kenya, but definitely not the last time. We really liked it! The hotel was simply top! Particularly impressed we were also from the hotel staff, were all very helpful and always had a friendly 'Jambo' on the lips. We are definitely coming again! Bewertung lesen
