The monastery Hornbach to stay is a special experience! It is a former benedictine abbey (from the years 742), the denkmalgerecht renovated and with new buildings completed is. The klösterliche character the hotel already at the entrance and the special atmosphere of this house. There are altogether 34 elegant rooms in different design decorated-all with attention to detail equipped. We stayed in a spacious, asian inspired room. The internet access in the room is inclusive. The kitchen of the hotel is ambitious. We both in the restaurant 'säulenzimmer ', as well as the gourmet restaurant 'retreat' and klönnen us the ... good judgment in the prestigious' gault millaut' only follow! The breakfast buffet is varied and very attentive staff accompanied. Monastery Hornbach reminds us of the wonderful spanish Paradores - it is quite special, here to be their guest. read more

    We had a room on the 3. floor. It was spacious and with attention to detail equipped. The furniture, in asian style is well thought out. The room has a kettle and a coffee maker. There is a selection of music cds, several books, a mini bar, always a stocked fruit bowl. The restaurant is elegant and spacious.

    The restaurant säulenzimmer has a very good standard; here we have a four-course meal eaten, the korespondierenden wines are served. The preparation and quality of the dishes was very good. A little elevated in the gourmet restaurant retreat to. Also here we felt really good. The five-course menu was outstanding.

    Monastery Hornbach is located in the southwest palatinate region, between zweibrücken and the french bitche. The next larger town is pirmasens. In Hornbach unite the northern and southern route of the palatinate camino de santiago, the from there by lorraine to metz leads. The monastery lead to the short, medium and long walks through the slightly hilly landscape. Partly these hiking trails parallel to the camino de santiago.

We have already been the 2. time there, this time with our friends. The Klosterhotel Hornbach, in the triangle palatinate -Saarland-France location, from family delete with much personal commitment to a gem. With the best approach and outstanding staff and excellent kitchen (with chef Martin will) you could just feel comfortable. The hotel is the objective it is to be found. All we can only recommend, there some days to relax. The framework programme for the new year's eve package was perfectly organized, without overcrowded feel. Also, dogs are like people as a guest received and cared for-we have never ... experienced that before. The family delete the term ' hosts' a special quality given. read more

Our second short break the monastery Hornbach uS not disappointed. The excursion with the monastery 'duck' and picnic -basket was pure relaxation. The food in the klosterstube and säulenzimmer were as the service excellent. read more

We had our wedding at the monastery Hornbach celebrated and it could not be better. The location is gorgeous. The organization and Durchfühung were perfect and the service was very friendly. We felt as though we were at home. We can this house to 100 recommendable. Everything is simply right! Here no wishes remain unfulfilled and the friendliness and willingness to help is unique. The food and the wines-simply delicious. The cozy corners with candles both in the home, as well as in the garden are wonderful,- she remember at vacation in the South and the flavors in the herb garden complete the whole thing from.
