Taba heights is practically a artificially created town with several hotels, shopping, golf course and marina. Ideal for peace and quiet, because there was no uproar and-a rarity in Egypt - no annoying beach vendors. Very scenic and really fantastic.

We had the reisesender sonnenklar tv a Roulette-trip to taba-heights booked. And so we, as all other Roulette-guests, in maririott beach taba heights building. Us nobody is met, the this hotel directly booked. In the sonnenklarwerbung was sensational plus a luxury all-inclusive highlighted. But: what the werbesender sonnenklar tv as luxury luguru had placed itself in the reality quickly as huge disappointment out. Further down for this. The transfer after taba-heights took 3 hours. Taba heights consists of six hotels a beautiful golf course, the up town with some small shops to two banks, restaurants, etc. A basis for water ... sports and housing for the people, which work there. The complex itself we liked and it was in a quite well maintained condition. There is next to a large pool area there were many palms and other plants, so the outside area a large, beautiful garden rival. The guest structure is mixed. Next to about 80 german guests, of the very many before a week on the FTI-Berlin had spent, we met guests from England, France, Jordan, Holland and naturally also from Russia. But they were almost only families with children, which unobtrusive behaved. The lively russians had there probably rather for the Hyatt-hotel. read more

We had a room on the first floor with a balcony and sea view (nr. 434). It was very large. Equipped with a 2. sofa, an armchair, a chair and a large table. Tv with 3 german programs, etc. The beds were very good mattresses and six pillows equipped. Here we have slept very well. The bathroom was also quite large. Everything was very clean kept.

  • Gastronomy
    2.0

Now we come to the unfortunately worst chapter in the marriot beach hotel taba-heights. The food, which was offered had nothing but also nothing with a 5 stars hotel. With the breakfast even the smallest bad was. Here there were eggs, crepes, waffles (but of poor quality), fruit, salad, yogurt, two types of sausage and cheese, etc. The jams were in the course of the week from three to two rediziert. The absolute lowpoint was the lunch. Low offer with really bad quality. At the station for pizza and pasta there was chopping meat sauce, with which as good as no meat was available. Now and again uncovered a speck on the plate. There was this sauce, as many other food, just tasteless. The pizza was basically with little, at two days without any coating, offered the fish was half raw, etc. During dinner was the offer a bit more but equally poor quality, and chicken, which it every day gave, was positive from the rest of the dishes took off. The beef was so hard, that it is only in the smallest bröckchen to food was. The 'alleged' mousse or other creams were inedible. The desserts were good, if arab desserts were offered. The offered drinks of the sonnenklar-luxury all-inclusive was also a catastrophe and was light years away from 5 stars standard away. The beer was alright. The wine came from plastikschläuchen and was of basic quality, but at least edible, even if it is often in simple water glasses was served. This was not more for the three offered alcoholic beverages and the 4 cocktails had nothing but also really nothing with their namensgebern mean. Five star luxury was nowhere to be found. Now recruited sonnenklar tv but with a special 'dine around concept', where you the restaurants other hotels and restaurants in uptown use. To the restaurants is to however, that you are not on the menu meals were allowed. It was a special 3-course menu for ' dine-around guests' set. If you don't fancy, the was very fast with the surcharge. Furthermore, it was the guests often told, that the restaurant unfortunately was fully booked. Also days before. So remained the buffet-style restaurant at the intercontinental and Sofitel. The bayviewrestaurant in the hotel intercontinental had the atmosphere a large hall. The quality the food was a bit better than in the Marriott beach, but here we are on very badly trained and little friendly staff prodded. So our table, on which still well stocked wine glasses, water, cutlery, etc. There, simply cleared away, when we the next walkway from the buffet to get wanted. When we came back, everything was gone. The cocktails the intercontinental were equally dubious quality as in the Marriott, however in more beautiful glassware. The offered drinks was overall significantly larger than Marriott beach. By far the best food the Sofitel offered. Also ate there in very pleasant atmosphere. The chef of the restaurant inquired personally satisfaction and further be etc. Overall it remains to be noted, that the promised by sonnenklar tv much vaunted luxury all-inclusive 5 star level only one disappointment was. Especially in the Marriott beach hotel you could the impression, that the management of the hotel with food and drinks the lowest possible cost to operate tried.

  • Service
    5.0

Us in the hotel Marriott beach from the very first moment on very much friendliness been presented with. That's why can i some opinions, which unfriendly staff speak, do not share. In this hotel no employee the german language. This is incomprehensible, in particular, if the number of of the guests from Germany wants to increase. But it is a further proof, that incompetent management at the wrong place saved. If you only spoke german, is therefore inevitably encounter difficulties. One speaks however english and is friendly and with respect to the staff to, you will also treated in a friendly and welcoming. We really have no the hotel staff complain about. This also regardless of tip, although, if you wanted a holiday in Egypt power, should know, the tips there life is. The idea of 'i have already paid' there is wrongly at the place. By the way: russian was in the hotel from the staff also spoken. The room boy Mohamed (like so many) was extremely hard and always provided for cleanliness. He surprised us every day with new creations out of hand towels, flowers, etc. Also the frontdesk employees were friendly and in case of any problems (power outage) helped immediately. As for the order of the packed lunches for the trip to Jerusalem, and the late dinner (11:15 p. m.) after the return of this trip.

  • Sport & Entertainment
    4.0

As already mentioned above, so there are in the Marriott beach huge and nice pool area, of which the larger part heated was. There were a lot of wooden pool chairs with enough thick cushions available. Also umbrellas, pool towels, etc. We have no arab guests, the clothing in the pool swam. The complex was nicely decorated amongst others with waterfalls, etc. Here there was really nothing to complain about. The offer at entertainment was rather small, which was positive. If intensive 'night life' would like is here wrong. There were two tennis courts, spa, etc. Almost on the doorstep the 18-hole golf course.

The Marriott beach is right at the beach. This consists of fine sand. However on the waterline so many stones, it is only with great difficulty was possible, into the water to get. Here had all other hotels, in particular the Sofitel hard, the disturbance by the stones so small as possible. Only the management of the Marriott beach stopped the probably not necessary. Otherwise there was at the beach sufficiently many wooden pool chairs with umbrellas and windbreaks. The way on footh in the above mentioned up town took about 25 minutes. But drove constantly small ' buses' to all hotels, after uptown, etc. So actually no one to run had. The shuttle was free. Nightlife in taba-heights not take place. Here is a place for travellers, the peace and quiet search. Trips became to Petra (211 Euro) and to Jerusalem (120 Euro) offered. The trip to Petra totally overpriced. The trip to Jerusalem and bethlehem took about 23 hours (alone 3,5 hours for the crossing of Egypt after israel) he was however really worthwhile itself. Excursions to Cairo, to Mount Sinai with Saint Catherine's Monastery or in the desert were in comparison to high-minded pronouncements of mr pätzmann at sonnenklar tv, due to safety concerns for some time not more of the german tour operators (but by russian) offered.

After the bombastic promises by sonnenklar once again credited have, we booked a trip to Egypt in the 'Marriott'hotel in taba. The tour operator was Big Extra. This completely niveaufreie hotel held more than one disappointment for us ready. In our room arrived (block 700 top floor) took the misery its course. In the bathroom everything was completely rottet (flaking plaster, rust spots on the ceiling, mold and so on). We pulled the bed sheets high and us met nearly the impact. Under the sheets were old saggy mattress covers. Selbige were stains all kinds of color schemes, from yellow ... to brown, from small to large covered, their origin, i would like to not at all know. The cushions in the outdoor area also schmutzstarrend. Everything was very worn and tired. The cleanliness in the restaurant left much to be desired. The corners dirty, the wall at the ' nudelstand ', the tables and trays on which the use cutlery was turned off. And so on. In Germany would the hygienkontrolle this house immediately close. The food was monotony and tastelessness not to beat. The quality of the coffee for breakfast, acceptable and after chlorine tasting. There was a coffee automat in the restaurant, this coffee you could enjoy, vorausgestzt you have a cup of bagged. For breakfast is constantly the butter all, no cups, no one from the staff notice something. To lunch you will be forced on a damper his drinks himself to get, this has probably ferienlagerniveua and is for an alleged star hotel the last. The promise of snackspezialitäten in the 'el grotto' bar turned out to be old bread from the breakfast, pastries from the breakfast and stale lukewarm fries. The staff's hospitality in the 'Regatta' bar and 'el grotto' bar leaves a lot to be desired, one disturbs there as a guest and has the impression, not welcome. The leisure offer is null. The billardraum is constantly complete, table tennis is not possible, since it is in the 'Marriott' not a single table tennis rackets were. Simply only embarrassing! Complaints at the tour guides bring nothing. There are the complaints his own statement on but obviously interested from hotel management nobody in it. The advertised arround concept is also only tourist traps. The highly touted thai fish and chicken, as well as the daily meals in the hotel, the burgers at the mexican was not bad, but you can also McDonald's food. The trip to uptown is worthwhile not because of the food. Otherwise there is also not much going on. Overall a very disappointing holiday! A good he had, we could after a week this ungastliche site leaving. read more

The hotel is not a 5 star hotel. Because of the economic and political situation very few tourists to taba. Utilization of the hotel about 25%. This blank looks depressing. A lot of food can no longer be found. Also diesel for the buses is about. One must be aware, that many jordanian extended families here your weekend in the hotel spend, the already times with clothes in the pool jump and other essewohnheiten. The staff are mostly without gastronomic training and without appropriate behavior. At the front desk one speaks english. The travel agency suburb is overburdened. read more

An artificial oasis of peace

Hotellocation with main building and several 2-storey wings (without elevators)-very well maintained, clean, in an artificial environment: taba heights resort. Uptown also an artificial 'city' with shops, restaurants and homes-you will find that anywhere in the ' right ' Egypt see! Safety always when you leave and busy-even with the resortbussen -sometimes with mirror under vehicle. But the retraction in the resort controls. Ended up here after cruise with ' wolkentrüb tv ' ☺ as all other also, despite ' roullette'. In addition a: you could immediately the book know, that only the Marriott cases, because the other (Sofitel, interconti) ... no capacity for free/wanted to do-ok. So but felt one already tricked, since you've already read, where all to go. Do not understand this the wrong way hotel was already okay! Price/performance ratio for us top for 299, -€ p. person and week without flight. read more

Huge room, we even had two french beds, everything in it, and: electronic safe free of charge! Daily a large bottle of water in the room, fridge, enough shower-shampoo-cream vial as, kettle with tea and instant coffee, a hair dryer, doppelduschvorhang, so that nothing runs, high-quality chairs on the balcony and in the room, tv with 2 german programs, effective airconditioning. Large bathroom, however only with tub.

No plan, where the bad reviews come, what eat at home, caviar me oysters from goldtellern? Was every day another issue, you could already at the entrance see, arabic was brilliant (were also arabs there, so.) Pasta and pizza station (yes, ok, was no quattro stagione, but tasty.) , hackfleisch böckelt here always, you can find something, what a not tasted, but also much totally more delicious is. Example: fruit-kumquat, physelis and other exotics in large quantities, large selection of bread... And if you not at all wanted: dine around with us worked great, so we were also with the intercontinental and Sofitel compare, the cook as only with water-literally. The halls are also a matter of taste, there rather pompous and dark (hey, where is my plates and what i eat here) here more arabic-modern and bright and noisy... We sat in the interconti blue lagoon in the Pavillon and it moved us with the bbq almost grillspiess from the grill (yes, was on the table) and when the german aufsichtsdame way, was, was the service end, they had with their bons to do, and cleared not from. So Marriott bad? Definitely not. Dine-around in the restaurants uptown tested- birdnest, thai, freshly prepared, ingenious thaisuppe -el fügo, delicious burgers or bruzzelnder fish, great. But one must say: there was special dine-around menus, so nothing with all food. Had reservation no problems, although other guests said, it would be full. Strange... The, the town was already complained on the food, which one could also in other restaurants look. A thick minus point: the alcoholic beverages, billigzeugs. Already times vodka lemon with Sprite and bad vodka drunk... Uaah. Beer and Cuba Libre ok, the bartender strove also specialty cocktails to make, the not on the menu.

One is still really german guests furnished, since usually flights from taba accommodated here, usually french, belgians etc. , so, many still no german, but english not a problem. Man people, we are abroad and guests, there but some now and cry: i am FTI and german, so must speak german will, there only k... As it is a wonder, if the service staff still nice and friendly, all very hard, but the still learning, has charm, or? Zimmerboy perfect, has in the morning not even bother us, was always waited until we for breakfast were, top clean. Bags were taken at the front desk picked up and by the departure were again before production, very nice, or?

'beautiful pool area, large heated pool... Yes heated not heatable ;)! So well, the beach chairs from wood and cushions were not the newest, but by the pool well, pool towels free, grottobar to ranschwimmen, sufficient space, enough chairs and umbrellas, small water slide (the sensation for the arab guests, since was for the first time busy by the pool. Hehe) Entertainment i saw none, but who needs that when 1 week stay and the sea in front of the door? Beautiful schnorchelriffe, could not at all all research. However, that only 10 years what is, are the corals also already tattered. Oh:in the evening there is time Bauchtanz and karaoke...

Fully isolated from the environment, as mentioned above in artificial world. Even taba very isolated, but very relaxing, quiet, no aircraft noise or rarely ship/ bootsgeräusche... Great! For 1 week brilliant to turn off, suns, snorkelling... However 14 days... Well?! In the evening nothing for going out, which we didn't was missing, you know and want. Direct at the beach, unfortunately no own jetty, since you have to Sofitel or better Hyatt-but: there down leave is not, the beach guardalej sets the towels and clothes clean together, next to the beach chair ; Hyatt is not part of the consortium! But underwater world at the best, so in the sand. In uptown (with the bus 10 minutes) everything you buy: sim card for the surfing, pharmacy, clothes, spices, even beer shop with egyptian wheat beer... Thus everything purchasable at normal prices. Also 4 restaurants the dine-around: flying carpet, el fügo, birdnest and Chez Pascal (degrees in renovation) and the wakala hotel. Buses in the rsort all 15 minutes or so (i never really understood, despite plans everywhere.) Depending on the Linie 1 or 2 and where you want with large resortrunde for everyone... But drivers ask actually always and helps.

The Marriott Hotel was architecturally a picture hotel, with beautiful laid out gardens and pool areas. The large area captivates with your aufeingelockerte arrangement of the building and well-kept and clean routes. The wide sandy beach with the feast installed sun screens and the stable the wooden pool chairs with cushions was regularly of friendly person well maintained. Cleanliness prevailed in the whole complex. Our large room was regularly cleaned and it wasn't missing anything. The quiet location was for us especially relaxing. We found the staff friendly and attentive. read more

Three star level of 5 stars Marriott

We are after a week long cruise with FTI Berlin been in this hotel. It was (or should) a 5-star roulette hotel (its), but in fact, all the guests in this hotel, and not in the sonnenklar tv for offer promise of two other hotels accommodated. The this hotel level far behind the other hotels (intercontinental and Sofitel) remains, was fast, as the plants there use and there also in the evening food. Marriott deserves now not more than a 3 * classification. The dining room in the evening dim, the tischlaufer unhygienic, selection of the meals poor, preparation of ... boring to unenjoyable, staff apparently poorly trained, uninterested, partly rude. Beach chairs partly broken, difficult to handle (any help), cushions broken, dirty. Entertainment in the bar rather ridiculous. Because the hotel maybe to 20% occupied, and taba uptown practically empty, you had total peace. If FTI supposedly in the future more german tourists to taba /Marriott wants, then must both FTI (including guide ), as well as the staff/hotel management exert, around the level, the atmosphere from the neighboring hotel close to reach. Of our group (24 people) are 6 into another hotel ripped off, 6 have schriflich complained-that says it all. The hotel has possibilities and opportunities, a solid 3 + or a 4 star hotel to be, but it is still a long way to go. There would be help and support from the chain Marriott desirable and appropriate. read more

A week deluxe Roulette seaside holiday in taba hights after a week 'coach trip in the water' on FTI Berlin the sinai was not deluxe still Roulette. All offered something to eat, whether with a ship or plane were here, in the Marriott bundled. Sonnenklar had super pictures and promises widespread. This was not the case! Many are against an extra charge and after threat to leave in the interconti or Sofitel after two days reburied have been. The tour guide on the spot, he stayed, whom are you surprised at the intercontinental, was very overstrained and badly stocked, complaints ... remained always incomplete, he could also from the reception not be achieved. Deluxe looks, both in the hotel as well as in the town of taba hights, different. We could other experiences in El Gouna a year ago make. Taba hights is unfortunately only the stepsister and far away from a village with infrastructure. Marriott could be correctly beautiful, the complex is quite nicely laid out, the rooms are good as well. Bad was the offer for eating and drinking, really bad was the service. Luckily we had arround, so that we practically only for sleeping in the Marriott we had to stay. The deeds by the way nearly all, on the day, the group toward the interconti or Sofitel, in the evening flew most, the luck had a place in the other restaurants to get, in every direction from. The reserve had the front desk tried to bojkottieren, with tips but almost everything. It pleased us in the Sofitel, at the intercontinental and the mexican good, the staff were so much friendly. The evening entertainment in the Marriott consisted of a screaming gesangspaar in dimmer barstimmung with bad service. Beach area in front of Marriott was neglected, access at the water front by stones not possible. Completely different it looked in Sofitel and intercontinental from, here was the beach well maintained, the loungers tidy, the service well organized. Recommendable is the trip to Jerusalem, external booked, was quite strenuous but next to Petra and Cairo the absolute highlight of our trip. read more

The hotel is located at gulf of Aqaba across from saudi arabia and about 20 kilometer to the israeli border. It is a whole complex of 5 hotels and a golf course, and Marina in a spacious area. Every hotel is independently. The marriott features directly at the beach and consists of several 2-storey buildings partially to directly to the beach. It is located in a good and well maintained condition. We had ultra all-inclusive benefits, it will be but also other types of inclusive are offered. Guest structure is predominantly russian, polish, french and some english. German are otherwise ... no to be met. Since we but with a group of 45 people after a cruise arrived, was the not a problem. read more

There was a main restaurant and an à-la-carte restaurant in the hotel and another à la carte restaurant in uptown. The main restaurant isn't recommendable. On the one hand very loud and warm, and on the other hand, the buffet from the choice and quality just bad and is in any case, not yet times for breakfast 5 stars not egyptian. From the pasta station with great little choice except one sees no cook, salads or appetizers in less selection, once fish (overcooked) and once chicken (dry) hardly side dishes (rice and matschiger porridge! Roughly mince fruits and not like in Egypt usual rich dessert buffet. Thank god we had Dine around and the choice of torture between 10 restaurants in the whole area. We were also in the Sofitel and intercontinental for the evening buffet food. As you could see what the buffet area possible. Selection full and especially delicious. Recommended was especially the mexican and thai, as well as the buffets in the Sofitel. So if you what decent food should Dine around book or in Sofitel go. But please to day before 12:00 book otherwise there is nothing. Understand the people at the reception also no english more!-) The suns refer only to the marriott! Otherwise i would 6 suns. All inclusive beverages is ok and good. But the mariott unfriendly and musty. And operation zero

Foreign language skills were rather rudimentarily trained. German not at all and english rather bad but doable. Service is, however, of which independently in many areas of marriott more than poor especially in the gastronomy area. Smile is not. The it differently is we have in the neighboring hotel Sofitel more than once positive got to know and also in other places. This is the all in all good impression but troubled. Room service was nothing to complain however also not incredible

1 animator and the usual wasserärobic beach volleyball etc. But not used. Good equipped fitness area but search must. It is in the spa area with a good sauna and hammam. Evening disco in the regattabar. Towels of pool and beach free of charge

German are otherwise no to be met. Since we but with a group of 45 people after a cruise arrived, was the not a problem.

About 260 kilometer from the airport Sharm el Sheik. Taba has probably on an airport but time is not yet of german airlines served. The bedeut about 3 hours transfer by bus through over the sinai mountains, if not like us done the bus traveling perished. Then there 5 hours of it will. Otherwise nothing. The complex is at a beautiful beach section with intact reefs on the doorstep. The entrance into the water was gravelly, so better with shoes into the water go. After israel about 20 kilometer and from nuweiba is a ferry to Aqaba. To the hotel belongs a small village where you tourist purchases and eat out can. Regular shuttleverkehr of the hotel in the so-called uptown

A very beautiful area to relax. We were satisfied with everything. Food with a wide selection, fresh and very tasty. Room and cleanliness would not to be desired. Am shocked by bad reviews and pictures the have been suspended. We can only say the opposite. It would of course exclusive go, but we want to the hotel with 91% recommendable. We find the five stars to country category correct. We were in the neighboring hotel Sofitel food. We provide our hotel on the same level with Sofitel. We even found, that the Sofitel the decor is very cool worked. In ... our hotel we felt arrived. Should we visit in taba heights vacations, we will stay at the Marriott do. read more

Generous plant, small, two-storeyed annex grouped around main building to the beach; separated pool area in the winter heated. Mixed clientele, very lots of Russians, but usually the erträglicheren sort, apart from that English, French, Scandinavians, Poland etc. As hitherto no German Airline Taba airport approaches, little German (we arrived about Sharm el-Sheik = 2.5 hour taxi to Taba!). read more

spacious, with all, that you need, also fridge with enough room to store its own drinks; we had balcony with lateral view of the sea.

  • Gastronomy

leave nothing to be desired, if you as a part of wanted to stay. Always fish, chicken, mostly beef. Various salads, fresh bread, homemade cakes and cakes. Almost always Humus and other arabic specialties. There is also an à la carte, is however not cheap and does not massive Difference, the surcharge justifies. Egyptian wines and a South African, very expensive (200 to 300 le the bottle), beer also expensive. Is enormously to the money, if you only half board has; see tips.

Large pool area, Partial heated. Beach with entry the sea was a bit rocky, very flat; but you can the jetties D. other hotels used, about hundred meters up to the Sofitel bar. Water dreamlike clearly, with fish in the aquarium. Internet in rooms available, but with 13 euros per hour outrageously expensive; see tip.

The Marriott was located together with the Hyatt, the Sofitel and the interconti on a abgeriegeltem, huge area. At the beach along 2.5 kilometer long jogging path, behind the hotel golf course. You can take shuttle bus (10 minutes) or on foot (25 minutes) to uptown Taba heights, with further hotel (EL wekala), restaurants and especially a shopping mall. At the southern end of D. Jogging route on the sea Marina, from here excursion boats, water sports, diving. Nightlife none. Therefore a bad review for the hotel to give, as in the last reviews, is unfair. You have to just before be aware, whether destination and own desires match. possibilities for excursions Catherine, canyons in Sinai, Jerusalem and Petra.
