Playacartaya Spa Hotel^{(4 stars)}

We had a fantastic suite with a view of the ocean. In the bedroom there was a round bath. The shower and toilet were not together. There was a dressing closet, a kitchen and also a seperate sitting corner. The living- and bedroom were each equipped with a TV. On the balcony there was also a clothes rack. That was really the best.

There were 2 restaurants. If you had booked half board you could only eat dinner from 8 p.m. Every evening there was freshly fried fish as well as freshly fried meat. For kids also burgers and always noodels. The glasses weren't always quite clean but it was very neat.

The staff were very friendly and there were also 2 German speaking ladies at reception. The room cleaning was also alright. Sometimes it was quite rough but on the whole it was ok. There was the kids care. Complaints were dealt with immediately.

Activites ran during the whole day but weren't pushy. The pool guards supervised the guests. There were 2 whirlpools and 2 slides which ended in a seperate pool. The kids really liked it. At 10 p.m. the kids disco began and no show begun before 11 p.m. Altough it was very loud in the room. Beach chairs and umbrellas were available and were also enough. In the garden you also found shade. There was a hair dresser in the hotel and internet access for an extra charge.

Super great hotel area along the main road but without street noise because of double glazing. Very clean and neat with all inclusive or half board. Few Germans in the hotel.

To the beach you went through a pine forest and tunnel. There you got to the other beaches with a boat shuttle. Shopping possibilities you only got in the neighboring town or in the hotel lobby. There were plenty of excursion possibilities.

The hotel was very nicely furnished clean and not very big but that was what made it so beautiful! In the bathroom there was a bidet, toilet, bath tub, shower and 1 wash basin and terrace. The rooms were not too big.

The food wasn't worth 2 stars!!! The plates were sooo dirty and nearly every day the same food and usually unenjoyable. Also hardly any choice. Just horrible.

The room cleaning and the foreign language skills were very good and also the child care was adequate!!!

The golf area was very. A whirlpool (heated) and heated showers. Big swimming pool and 2 small water slides.

The hotel area was very well kept and the 2 pools with 2 small water slides very clean! You always found beach chairs and also umbrellas you could almost always get. The rooms were a bit small but for 4 people there was definitely enough space. Only the food was disastrous!!!

The hotel was located on a busy main road and if you wanted to get to the stores we always had to use our hire car (5-10 minutes). Also the beach directly at the hotel (about 100 meters away) was very dirty with a lot of trash in the water because there was a sandbank before it and the trash piled itself up in the water. By car we drove to another beach (about 10 minutes)!!! That one was super great.
