I was in a business trip in the hotel serious in Köln and can only recommend it to anyone. The service, the hotel is barely to exceed. Here is the probably each individual guest in foreground.
The room was big enough and is equipped with a also large and beautiful bathroom equipped. The mini bar is in the price included and filled up every day. This i thought that was a big plus point.
The location is directly opposite from cologne cathedral ideal, in order to sights to look at or eating and drinking to go. read more

This time again very pleased. A shame, that some guests not like in a 5 star hotel behavior.
Short training pants and t-shirt for breakfast should the american guests as not suitable see.
Perhaps it would be for other guests helpful a 'please wait to be seated' sign at the entrance to place. Then take these people just a table in mist, the another few assigned (friendly offered) was.

We were already 2. the Excelsior serious hotel. We will definitely come back again. In spite of the age of the hausesl has this hotel a certain charm. With the friendliness of the staff we were very pleased. Nevertheless it is me a request a few changes of our last visit of 2 years and now it should be noted: we 2 years we have on arrival a voucher for a welcome cocktail On this we had at that time very pleased. The hotel has the charm of an old Grand Hotel with amazing service. Nevertheless the hotel is regarding its modern facilities has been (flat screen tvs, etc.).
Direct parking spaces the hotel has not, opposite but there is a public parking garage. Apart from that is the location between main station and cologne cathedral hard to beat. As our room to the inner courtyard location was, we have in spite of the very central location a very quiet room had. read more

Great the location right by the cathedral.
Difficult is the parking, when we was due to many cars in the ascent not the ancestors to the hotel possible, we had to get from the parking garage with luggage back.
Very large responsiveness of staff.

All around authentic Grandhotel. The welcoming was very friendly and we were shown to our lovely room, as well as briefed in the surprising Subtleties of the hotel room. We had a deluxe room with private shower and separated Living and sleeping area with a flat screen. Light concept was in is consistent and the room as such was very tasteful and comfortable. Than attention of the house we were even a bottle of sparkling wine delivered to your room, as I on the day birthday had. We felt very much at ease and can the hotel warmly recommend. read more

What real estate is, shall not case for hotels. Right next to the central station and just vis a vis the cathedral, there was hardly a better location in Köln. Museums, shopping streets, restaurants, subway-everything right around the corner, or as the hanse stube, even in the house. The car for 24 €parked and retreives it. Without asking we were given an upgrade from superior to deluxe rooms-classy! The breakfast buffet is varied and of magnificent quality, the service friendly and accommodating. Only drawback: the handheld shower worked on the 2. day despite communication to the housekeeper not. read more

All in all a very good hotel, which one easily recommend. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Only fly in the ointment the connecting door to the neighboring rooms, which a smoker's room and thus from the Zigarettenduft of the neighbor troubled was! For the umpteenth time in Cologne and of course only in the Excelsior Seriously. As the male before it was lovely stay. Alone the staff's hospitality has once again intrigued, since these were personal, almost amicable comities apparently nowhere otherwise- simply brilliant.
The room, service, quality the gastronomy we need nothing to say, as always at the highest level. Also in the restaurant hotel's Taku continued this level fort, our Sushisonderbestellung (only vegetables and salmon) exceeded with amongst others Spargelnigiri our expectations at times. Brilliant!

The hotel is directly next to the Cologne cathedral centrally located. Parking spaces in the garage directly opposite feature 18 euros per D not overpriced. We were there from 12-13 February 2012. Guests the Excelsior hotel serious in Cologne and were extremely pleased. From the start we have in the hotel well cared for. The service staff was very accommodating and is betrebt, all wishes of the guests immediately to fulfill. When we arrived at the hotel, we were able to directly in front of the hotel unfortunately no parking. The small Attendants was totally overcrowded. We are in the car park opposite under the dome risks. The parking fees amounted to about 19,00 euros per dayin the check in we were very accommodating ... welcome. A free Upgrade to a better room type was offered. We were told, that our room still not ready, but one call us immediately informed, as long as we the room can. The bell at the entrance area also very friendly, helpful and attentive. While our tour of the town, the directly opposite am Dom begins, we call informed, that our room now ready. Again in the hotel arrived, us on our room and accompanied us and everything on site explained. Our room was very clean and Nice designed. We just in our large room (carpet, large bed, safe, flat screen TV, Corner, large wardrobe) felt. The bathroom was also very nice, clean and large( separate toilet, bathtub, two washbasin). Our luggage was meanwhile on our room brought. When we later in the beautiful city of Cologne and again to our room arrived, this was tidy and fresh fruit waiting for us. The mini bar was also inclusive. At the next morning led us into the breakfast area. The buffet was sufficient and delicious. A scrambled eggs on request freshly prepared. Furthermore you can get a freshly squeezed juice order. We would have liked to have longer in the hotel remained, every wish as a fulfilled is. The 'Excelsior Ernst', the soon its 150. birthday partying, is a very refined, elegant house in the center Of Cologne.
