Make sure you get the Urban wing - newly renovated side of the hotel. It has nice modern rooms with sexy details. Best option to stay in the middle of all main sights of the city - opposite the train station, the hotel has great connections to other cities in Holland. Great for business travel read more

The hotel was on the internet with a pool and sauna etc. Advertised. With prior stelten we note, that here was being remodeled and the devices are not were available. A coworker of the our surprise had received, told us very rude with, that the construction on the internet communicates it. At the time of our reservation was this however not recognizable and even after our return trip on the website along with the construction of the facilities advertised. The operation was over the reiseveanstallter to the hotel for editing and has still not answered. At the front desk is ... a relatively unfriendly woman employee middle-aged noticed, the very unfriendly and without concentration was. There were sometimes up to three parties and tasks your colleagues interfered. Until now this was the worst check-in /-out of all times. There is each hostel friendly! read more

The hotel lies directly opposite the main railway station and is just a few strides from the shopping district. Size and the number of rooms were not very well arranged, but was at the front desk and in the morning for breakfast always bustling, which on numerous guests zurückschließen leaves. All in all it was nevertheless very quiet, there were no complaints on our part, as the condition and the cleanliness in the hotel to our complete satisfaction were. Inclusive services, which we in the hotel used was a the breakfast, the us unfortunately absolutely not satisfied was, since neither ... the scrambled eggs edible, nor the selection particularly big, and to the other the wifi, the slow, but for a tourist always can be helpful, if you while searching for restaurants, stores or the like. The types of people were relatively mixed, alterstechnisch were however not only the hotel guests, but also the locals, and tourists throughout the city relatively young. Generally one could say, that Amsterdam a very young multikultistadt is, in the always which is the matter. read more

Nice in a fantastic location, disappointing service

Actually very nice in a fantastic location, with beautiful, modernly furnished rooms, unfortunately in puncto service rather poor.
At the check-in although it is very friendly but easily overwhelmed staff. It was much more expensive than in the booking confirmation and we had persistent inquiring. The same every morning in the breakfast room: we had our breakfast at the check-in paid and definitely again addressed, that the breakfast not in the price is. We had then always only right, not too bad but annoying. It urged suspicion, that you are consciously stupid is. It should in a 4 star hotel ... not happen, particularly since a view in the computer is sufficient.
At all will get the hand anyway, even before of the toilet the in-house brasserie (the only public toilet on the ground floor, the we could find) there was a rude lord and wanted money.
In the beautiful modern room there was not even a bottle of water for welcome free of charge, as i as it from other, cheaper hotels. For a whopping$ 6,50 Euro we could have stayed can help yourself.
On the first morning there was immediately after the subtle knock the cleaning lady in the room, we had not any opportunity, before noticeable to make.
The biggest disappointment for us was, that the sauna was closed. We had a hotel with a sauna and after 9 hours ride on a relaxed evening in the sauna looking forward to it. On the homepage of the hotel was on the first glance nothing from the closure to see. After leaving i specially and only after long, pedantic umherklicken a small note found.
In the breakfast room hurtled us at the new for the farewell a mouse around the feet. The service coworkers said only lapidary, he could not catch. Embarrassing it was him obviously not.
In this price range, i had just expected more, after i in much cheaper hotels much better service experienced. This hotel i would not again book. read more

For rail travellers a hotel in perfect location!

For railway commuters, the see the city want a perfect located hotel exactly opposite of the main station. You can all sights of the city excellent on foot, by bike or S-Bahn reach. On the back of the hotel is the pedestrian precinct.
The state of the hotel is ok but you shouldn't overly high standard, as it already somewhat older is. The recreation or we didn't eat there and no information about this. Really only a clean, serious place to spend the night looked for and found. The staff were friendly and courteous, however you have to in any ... case speak English. With German one comes not far.
We ate breakfast also in the town. This would have in the hotel the 20 €more per person& night cost and so much consumed you simply cannot.
In short: if you are looking for a relaxation-/ or wellness vacation to make would like is here surely wrong. You can hear something from städtelärm, because the hotel lies really in the middle in the center. Who however a nice break to, the flair of the city feel and reasonable again and not extra for a long time with the S-Bahn back and forth want to drive, you can this hotel confidently recommend. We were really satisfied. Not however nothing more less. read more

Very centrally located at the train station located, directly in the center, sights good - also on foot - to reach. We had in the renovated Urbanwing a room to the backyard, what is very recommendable, if maan nightly peace an interesting view prefers. Room and bathroom were OK. Breakfast should you prefer not book. It is absolutely overpriced and you get good and reasonably priced breakfast in the bistro of the hotel or in one of the numerous cafes nearby. From the room service we were not very impressed. Our room respectively our beds with three nights only once. ... Never garbage bin trash cans emptied. Our request, in the bath cotton balls or Cleanex tissues was although it is very polite welcome but not carried out. At the front desk always long queues. The swimming pool was during our stay closed. Altogether an acceptable hotel for a city break, however with small defects, the even more eye, than the nights not cheap! read more

The hotel is centrally located at the main station. You inside nothing-we have excellent and quiet nights sleep. Breakfast was and 24 euros too expensive and we have something in in the area wanted-there are for any taste and every budget. The rooms are well equipped and reasonable large. The construction is quite complicated and one must only once in the particular floor find your way.as a starting point for the trip in Amsterdam the hotel is ideal, because one super everywhere out-, whether on foot or buses and-the areas of the city is in a short period of ... time to reach. With 200 euros per double room/ night it is certainly not a bargain in the sense - is however for the complete package reasonablethe bar is well stocked and reasonably priced also OK. The malt whisky (selection classic malts) for 9. 25 Euro or 10. 25 Euro I was then given. read more

This hotel is located in great location and is in a good state.
It is in the old, Victorian style and has a pleasant flair.
In the immediate area is the large main station, as well as the 'downtown' of Amsterdam with all shops, restaurants and sights.

If we are in Amsterdam, we always stay in this hotel. The bad reviews I can not understand. This time were we in the 'newer' part of the hotel. Us nothing was missing it. The main reason, why we the hotel, is the perfect location next to the bar. Competent bartender such must you find. The breakfast is for a four star hotel. read more

The hotel is centrally located, clearly dated. Apart from the flat screen TV and the WLAN in the room are all other elements old and used. discoloured yellow plastic, cable, the behind furniture hervorschauen, old spray marks on the wall. The carpets in the hallways are, if not the model in hinwegtäuscht, dingy. A mixture of air freshener and old Muff suggested a first opened of the room. Value for money not accurate and a recommendation will be able be made. read more

Very centrally located, across the street from the main train station. We arrived at 11 :00 and as my husband is a "Gipsarm" had a room, we could immediately. Rooms are small, but very modern and well appointed. Flat screen TV, internet, mini bar, in-room safe. Everything was very neat and clean. Overall, the hotel is decorated to an old fashioned style, but very clean. Breakfast was very rich and the tables were immediately cleared and prepared for new guests in the breakfast room. Staff very friendly and helpful. read more

The hotel is centrally located just across from the central station. The marinas for boat trips are next door. We had us with the web booking to start a day wrong but could still on the same terms and without calculation of the "Fehltages" to the desired days stay. The rooms are small but very modern with white-leather armchairs and flat screens etc what the exterior me your rather nice traditional façade hardly suggests. Our NOTE: do not arrive by car, as the hotel does not have private garage and public parking is limited and extremely expensive read more

The Victoria is a very getting old, so it is no longer his stars-standard. The service was rather annoying. Apparently the hotel like coffee shop on cheap tourists in the Internet. The carpets in the hallways were stained, in elevator was an unpleasant odor noticeable. So: great location, quality was rather poor. We experienced a hotel with very good service. To get access to the reception has to go through some stairs to climb. Not a problem for us as our bags porters immediately fell. Even when we were leaving the "Treppenservice" worked without problems. Our room was on the back side, was very roomy. I've had leary after reading the reviews I read before our stay, that we did have problems. But none if! As a tip I would like to recommend the hotel bar, where you can get good drinks from a barman also took the time for a conversation ... with his guests. All in all was a successful stay in Amsterdam. read more
