it would be really nice to start this report by saying it was our best trip to sharm ever, excellent hotel, great food, and drink, with an all round excellent holiday.unfortunately then that would be far from the truth regarding the sharm cliff resort.if ever a holiday location was misrepresented, then this is right up there in the top ten.the sharm cliff is not on the beach,it is not near the beach,it is a 15 min drive on a shuttle bus to the beach, then a excusrion down several flights of near vertical stairs to ... get to the beach.it is nowhere near the cliffs you see from the beach pics.it is 500 meters from namma bay if you can scale 6 flights of unmade stairs. all the following rules are named RULE 1 in no order of importance as there are just too many downsides to this place especially if you are of british origin.RULE 1. this place is uk standard 2 star at best, with the food standard not even up to that. their ad states 500 meters from naama bay, what they dont tell you is that its 500 meters up a cliff face with the only access up 6 levels of unmade steps and half built stairs and alleys fit only for a mountain goat with a disclaimer at the hotel telling you that its nothing to do with them and not to use it.RULE 1. this hotel does not cater for anyone british.the majority is egyptian/russian,except on muslim holiday periods when the residents will be 99% muslim.very overpowering in presence, and you are made to feel very uncomfortable in the bar /pool/dining areas as they take up center stage in the bar in groups of 20 or 30 bawling and shouting constantly.you can also expect little sleep as the noise from the rooms during the holiday period in never ending till 4 or 5 a.m.when it came to water polo in the pool, instead of 5 a side of mixed residents, then it was 20 a side with them being both teams, the referree, and the crowd, all in the water with their clothes on.no matter where we were around the pool/bar/dining area then we felt very uncomfortable and intimidated as this hotel does not cater towards the british visitor at all.it may be a way of life for some, but unless the women had 7 identical outfits for every seperate day, then they wore the same clothes in and out of the pool every single day and night that they were there.our friends from england are now recieving medical treatment regarding some kind of parasite/bug they contracted whilst staying there with us,and we ourselves have been bedridden for a week since our return.for the 2 weeks we had the misfortune to say there, then the pool filters were seldom switched on and the water was noticably filthy read hotel review
  • Room

RULE 1 you will be put out of your room at 12 noon prompt. if you wish to keep your room till tea time, you will be asked to pay $50 us dollars,or £30 gbp sterling, and they will refuse to take egyptian money unless you insist that you dont have dollars or sterling. at that point it will be accepted, but theres no recipt given.RULE 1 pal up with another couple and leave your bags in their room till you leave. RULE 1 the hotel has a great view of namma bay,if you are elderly/infirm/asthmatic or unfit in any way, then thats all you will see of it as its 6 flights of unfinished ,litters rubble strewn steps through muggers alley down to the buzz area with a big notice from the hotel saying(your on your own/nothing to do with us)

RULE 1 if you are of british origin or expect anything similar to 4 star, then stay away or be seriously disappointed.to give you a generalisation to the standards here, then we previously stayed at the sol y mar in sharm, and before that at a few hotels in tunisia where the culture is similar. on my previous holiday,my total expenditure outwith the hotel was a 2 litre bottle of coke, and a toothbrush..on this trip,we spend almost £400 on meals, drinks, kfc, and mcd`s as the catering here is so bad.we have travelled extensively throught europe/asia and further afield for 40 years,so believe me when i say this place sucks.do not come with kids,do not come if you are a brit.and above all....do not come if its a muslim holiday

,RULE 1 this hotel is a 15 minute drive to the beach, same accessability rules apply, for the fit and able only.RULE 1 this hotel has no facility for you to have a barh.you stand in a bath to shower, then you notice that 1 there is no plug in the bath, then 2 there are no bath taps anyway.if you use your jungle survival training and bung up the plughole to run a bath from the shower(assuming you have hot water) then surprise surprise, the water runs cold with 2 inches of tepid water in the bath.this hotel uses false advertising for the spec of the rooms. if it says that your room has a shower and a bath, then by implication it would be reasonable to expect that it was a bath that you can bathe in,not just as a shower tray,as having no plug or taps, then that is what it is.there also is the added bonus of the nylon shower curtain sliding along the side of the bath that with one false move sticks to you and envelops you like a venus fly trap, and as you remove yourself from its sticky grip, you can only imagine what it has previously enveloped as it certainly is not cleaned.RULE 1 the animation team consists of a russian woman, and an egyptian,so you can imagine the form of brain numbing entertainment you are going to be getting there.the best entertainment for me personally was 4 times in the dining room,on 2 seperate occasions my partner had to vomit out her coffee as the milk was sour, and twice when she choked her food all over the table whilst pulling a long black hair from the back of her throat.the hotel do not have a clue as to how to prepare a meal for anyone accustomed to british standards.my standards are personally low as i drive a truck, and constantly eat in some seriously bad truckstops,so im not exactly fussy, but this place just sets new standards for poor and unvaried quality.RULE 1 when you complain about anything, expect the entire reception staff to look as surprised as the expression on a blowup dolls face as if its the 1st time they have heard a negative remark about their esteemed establishment.from what we were told from others who had stayed there before, but now had the same opinion as us ie (never again) then untill a couple of years ago, this place was second to none, and has changed hands, with the effect that it has had the staff cut along with the standards.the hotel is grubby around the corners, handrails sticky,i went on my neck 3 times due to staff washing spillages off the corridors with no warning signs etc.i could go on and on though if it was good food and a decent all inclusive then the rest of it wouldnt have been so bad. we always frown upon reports showing a cracked tile,or dead cockroach etc (your in a 3rd world country, live with it) but i expect to get what i pay for.this place lacks on so many levels, mainly the revolting food, drink, and all inclusive that is a joke.the only thing you could guarantee would be warm in the dining room was the salad.if your not in first to eat, then everything is tepid.expect to search through crockery for a bowl/plate that is not chipped or cracked, apart from the dirty ones anyway, and check your glass before you put it to your mouth as several are cracked etc.(assuming your lucky enough to get a glass and not a paper cup)

  • Sport & Leisure

if anyone can contact me,then i will provide plenty of pictures to prove everything i have written is absolutely true in every respect.the downside of this hotel is never ending, and we just wish we had picked elsewhere.as for naama bay itself, then everybody will try to overcharge you,or otherwise rip you off with the wrong bill, wrong notes for change, basically without exception.naama bay is great if you are in the right hotel(which we were not)

RULE 1 the food is disgusting, badly cooked, almost never varied,99% same basic breakfast every single day, same clear stock soup for 14 days called a different name depending on what pasta they flung in.the food you get offered on day 1 will always be 99% the same every single day.the dining area in the hotel pics has some form or trick photography as it is the same room, but looks much larger in the pic of the food table, and in reality it is very small RULE 1 tip your waiter a cpl of quid, and he will be your best friend, and stuck to you like glue for your stay. the pool staff, and waiters work extremely hard to make you happy,as basically the brits tip, hence they know where their bread is buttered,so you will be well looked after if you are unfortunate enough to stay there. the old heated pool is extremely dated and grubby ,hence offputting to look at or worse to bathe in especially as the majority of residents just jump in fully clothed constantly, then sit all over the place soaking all the bar seat cushions. no hot water for first 3 days,on day 4 it was cold again,so room changed,at that point they present me with a written form asking me to sign saying i stayed at the hotel for 14 days, had a great time, and left with no negative feelings whatsoever(this was on day 4).needless to say i refused to sign as this would have been a complete lie.this room had aircon running like a helicopter with a nice drip of water just inside the door,so we were always stepping in and out of a puddle,,RULE 1 all inclusive is not all inclusve..no wine in the bar,or dining room.no crisps,no bottled water, you wwill have to buy it.no filling your own bottle from the machine, you have to use the tiny minute shot glass size plastic cup same as for beer,no ice cream for children or adults ,1 small fridge with a padlock with about 20 choc ices all the same, once they were sold, they were replaced with 20 identical ice lollys,so thats your choice, there is no catering for children for ice cream or anything else.only tap beer in pool bar,or local hooch which was undrinkable.you drink bottled beer in the reception bar by the cup as they refuse to give you it by the bottle.RULE 1 bring your own cup otherwise you will be constantly standing in the queue at the bar.weve stayed elsewhere in sharm 4 and 5 star with no worries, this place is just abysmal and is in no way 4 star. 2 star at best, assuming you dont derate it for the food. our bed linen was not changed for 10 days despite repeated requests

Maximum 2 stars. The staff is not in the mood to work, some totally unfriendly. Food i had to often do, there inedible. At night much too loud in the pool. Path from the room to the buffet and reception very far. All-inclusive, it is not, as you have to pay. Since the hotel was on a hill, you had to walk through a ruin where power lines and objects are on a long flight of steps through, to the shops. This hotel i will never book it again. read hotel review

Hotels has gotten a bit old. Currently, the road within the grounds repaired. Noise pollution was created not rather a exposure, since work begun and not obvious locked were. The hotel is on a cliff on Sharm el Sheikh location. One has the option with a bus to 5 minutes (in the large arch once around the hotel) or 5 minutes extremely drecreped grounds herunterzulaufen right in tourist areas of Sharm el Sheikh to is possible. Noise is one therefore nonexposed therefore the whole a very positive way. The beaches are both reached with buses. The a also on foot ... however therefor you will probably 15-20 minutes walk to accept. The beach the only reachable by bus, is brilliantly located. The beach is inviting for snorkelling a, so that this place countless submersibles unfolding day attracts. Now who booked all inclusive have may now at the latest now again in its own bag catch. Drinks go and bottling in the hotel is noisy other holidayers not at all gladly seen. Not even a bottle of water you get for the night provided. Little boring. The wine drinker among them with a normal all inclusive band not to be served. This needs great all-inclusive. English in the hotel duty. The hotel is mainly for polish and russian speaking clientele laid out. An entertainment evening (karaoke) with numerous polish folklorelieder speaks volumes. Food for european stomachs to problems. Work there other hotels thorough. The first aid kit should be prepared. Over the cleanliness in the room you couldn't complain. The everything was okay. Room was spacious. Certain verschleißerscheinung know the furniture on (door went not to) and the fridge it is a bit noisy if you want to go to sleep. Who to the tv in the bedroom weigh float would with a german programme expected (ZDF). This worked however with us to 75% not. For one week stay, and left it with the flaws life. In two weeks the time there very long, i suspect. read hotel review

Really nice vacation. Everything was right. The staff great the rooms top, the food is a question of taste however there is something for everyone there and nobody had to starve. The location of the hotel could not be better, stairs down and one is already in the middle in the happening ☺ By bus to the beach about minutes is worthwhile in any case, and is also no problem. Chairs are enough available and one received hand towels also every day. In short, a really great holiday, we who definitely next year return. Thanks a lot to this point ... to the entire team. You are great. A special thank you goes to rafat. The merriest and nicest waiter the world, had a lot of fun with you. Next year we'll see us again Greetings Jürgen and Sonja read hotel review

Very good value for money! For at the end of february a super empfehlungsreicher beach holiday. Very friendly hotel! To the hotel own beach about 15 minutes with the shuttle every hour from the hotel goes! In the hotel very a lot of polish and russian guests! The food rather took some getting used to! Definitely worth a trip! Staff is very friendly, willing to help and courteous. Food is of course a matter of taste, but you can find everyday something. Shopping, as mentioned in other reviews, the stairs down. This is however with caution, since levels very unevenly are. Of the two beaches is the hadaba beach definitely the nicer, also for snorkelling much better! All in all really nice vacation! We see we unsauf any case again this year! read hotel review

In the hotel too many russian and polish guests. The rooms were in any case clean and towels are changed every day. The buffet food is relatively good, the people they tried very hard the guests satisfied. In the lobby wi-fi (is however slow). For s nightlife is Naama Bay recommendable. The city center is in a few minutes walk reachable. You should know, that the hotel in the immediate anflugsroute to the airport sharm el shheik is. In short: I can really recommend the hotel. A huge 'thanks' at irek, domenika and rafat (pool bar), You guys were great! read hotel review

It was a really great vacation, the staff at the hotel was always very friendly and very attentive. The city center with shopping and nightlife and the beach are over a relatively long stairs in around 5 to 10 minutes away by foot. Therefore the hotel is but in a quiet and beautiful location. The only thing to complain about the food was, there was always the same and the quality of the dishes was also unfortunately not good. read hotel review

A succesful vacation, good price-performance ratio

The hotel is a little spacious, but this is a resort probably normal, there was my room 'huge '. In figures to believe: for the all-inclusive vacation inclusive flight and transfer i paid 294 Euro. But i got a double room for single use on the first floor with a view of the pool and big balcony with two chairs. The beds are ever 1.10 meters wide and with a high comfort level. Annoying is a loud refrigerator, the but also drinks very pleasant cool stops. From other vacationers i have heard, that you simply during the night unplugging ... it! So, it was possible. The air conditioning should you switch, it is arbitrary programmable and temperature the room exactly, as one it to have would like. Only at night, you should turn it off because of the noise. The entertainment in the evening goes up short after 23:00 o'clock. From about 11:30 p. m. was then but also peace, so that one can sleep well. Especially recommendable is the 'oriental evening' usually on saturdays. In the room there was another underlying sound (maybe plumbing?). I am very sensitive and it didn't bother me a bit. As a precaution, i would so earplugs recommended. There was an older television, on however, there are for german only ZDF and, two english channels. If you have a laptop, it should bring along, then it is possible in the lobby surfing (the connection is slow). 30 minutes internet at the computers, the in the hotel are available, costs 20 egyptian pound (2,50 Euro) The staff are very friendly and fulfilled definitely the 4 star standard, as i a tour to katarinenkloster in the morning around 5 it had planned, it was not a problem, to be woken up and the frühstückspacket with for traveling. In conversation with other tourists i had the impression, the 4 star hotel in the area all similar standards. For the german palate taste not all food well, this is the buffet but a 4 star buffet, as i it from other european hotels i know, the dishes were stop the taste was partially unusual, but chicken, rice, or freshly prepared pasta and cakes as a dessert or jelly always go! For breakfast, there is although it is only white bread, but it from the hotel itself freshly baked. With the coffee and tea i would be more cautious. A few, that at the same time with me in the hotel was, had diarrhea and they suspected, the hot tea/ kaffeewasser came. I myself have never of which drank and had absolutely no problems! I would recommend, a immersion heater and then the water from the bottles for the coffee to use. A hot tip: downstairs in the shopping area (one goes from the hotel about 200 steps down and is immediately in the middle of everything) there is also a supermarket chain Carrefour. Here you can get food and much more fixed prices! Water there for less than an egyptian pound per bottle. A schnorkelausrüstung you should not buy, this was cheaper in the hotel for 50 egyptian pounds. This should one 8., that no air through the glasses through and that attachment device for the snorkeling there. Before below start, with dealers to act, i would say the visit to the supermarket recommend: they provide an overview of the prices, for example from accessories, then you can better! Excursions i would rather below the traders in the travel agencies book than over the tour operator, there is often the tours here somewhat more favorable! Highly recommend is a tour into the desert with camel riding and quad biking. Usually stands a dinner and an oriental evening with on the program. You should no more than 50 € figures and a large scarf bring your own, otherwise can it also for 3 €on site. For excursions, like for instance the 220 kilometer away Saint Catherine's Monastery if mrs always 8., that knee and poor are covered, for example you could otherwise no orthodox church entering or a mosque visit. Shopping: Unfortunately it is almost not possible, the accessories in peace to watch without right by the distributors to tea loaded to be. Drink tea, but you should only, if you really to buy the interest. The again and again be addressed by the traders can really beautiful nerves. To the question: where are you from, or how are you? You should not at all answers, quickly go, on the ground or in the air look. I even frequent headscarf dressed in the hope, then less to be addressed. So, i have now here everything listed, what you, as a future travellers might be worthwhile. Of course everyone wants only 'our best', so i have my priority also on it, you give tips to one, as you not too much need to pay. In addition: they need no visa, if you on the island stay. You say at the airport in Egypt and save the about 18 €! After a trip buy definitely not a cd (there is someone with camera and films it)-i have a bought and there was nothing to see! Yes and after all the savings i would still like to stress, that all always with a little tip and low wages also rely on. So, and now i am hearing on, over the money to talk: The vacation was fantastic! The egyptians are very welcoming. In the hotel were predominantly russian, but also here i had good acquaintances! There were also british, scandinavian, german egyptians, and so on. The weather was great! While snorkeling on the private beach (daily several shuttle services free becum) you could great corals and fish to see and the weather was great! For in the evening please warm clothes and also for the trip to Saint Catherine's Monastery! read hotel review

The vacation could have been perfect, we would have had no food or booked all inclusive. Nice big room, clean and well equipped, very big complex, pleasant. Lots of russians, but almost all peaceful, entertainment was also russians. Interested us but anyway not. A drunk young russian after short vulgarity lightning from the staff intended to, otherwise were the italians actually the loudest ☺ really disturbed nothing. The food felt we as simple and geschmackfrei, even the fresh pasta, the great during the preparation smelled, tasted after nothing. Leftovers there was some for breakfast. We have had breakfast, at least ... were fresh eggs and well made and in the evening only dessert, at noon we ate outside at the beach. One drives but generally not to Egypt of the kitchen because of. The all-inclusive drinks were rather boring, especially small cups, as we had the impression, it was saved. But the combat drunkards had a pleasant selection of petrol. On the vielfotografierte stairs one was in 5-8 minutes in the town, the all evening entertainment offered. Location so good. A bit too far to the beach, for excellent shuttle bus connections to the city and to outlying halaba beach, absolutely great. We would drive immediately again, with the food you can arrange. read hotel review

This hotel is only for young people who want to experience something suitable. Lots of russians, Poland and English live in this hotel. It is situated on the hillside with a view of the Naama Bay only the stairs down you are in the nightlife or shop go. The hotel is already outdated the rooms were however clean. For people who do not able to walk good is this hotel not suitable as one long distances and lots of stairs walk to. There are 2 clean pools which one is heated. ( for small children definitely not suited) After the ... first week stay was apparently the staff exchanged and increased so that it a lot pleasant was. The pool boys are great and shall ensure the you every morning without stress always get a lounge chair. magdi at the pool bar has also ensured that you feel comfortable and always cold drinks has. For this the restaurant is unfortunately very disorganized. Often there was no morning mugs or plates. The tables you had to itself clean and setting and unfortunately there was only soluble coffee ( the it seems but in sharm el sheikh to give) a sort of tea or choco. The food was as far as good and you could always find something that tastes good. With German one comes not very far you should already English or spoke Russian. In short we are to Egypt flown to the bad weather in Germany to escape we also succeeded there but if you wanted to relax is this hotel not suitable. read hotel review

The hotel was all first cream. It was our first time in Egypt and for the 4 star hotel sharm cliff resort. When we arrived at the hotel was only a little uneasy in the stomach, as in front of the hotel a few new hotels are being built and there some construction prevail. However we had in the hotel was absolutely nothing noticed! Neither noise, nor has a view of the construction. From the outside the hotel looks great and as we into our room came, we were thrilled, as clean this but were (size was in order, pool ... view, great location, balcony, clean bathroom (no mold, no limescale). We were really amazed. The two pools in the middle of the hotel (hotel encloses the pools) were very clean, every evening, there were samples of water condition and cleaned every evening. The view if you exit the hotel is insanity. You look out across na 'ama bay (since the hotel was on a' hill ' is) and in the evening it is, above all, super nice, because the whole abendsbeleuchtung. Nationalities were during our holiday time mainly Poland and russians suburb. However, this was no problem, all were very open, you quickly to new contacts and it was all very peaceful (no annoyance, no riots, no swear). We were at the time we were the only germans in the hotel. It was usually in english or but with hands and feet to talk (russians can not fluent in english), the wasn't a problem however, but rather very funny ☺ Alterstechnisch all age groups were covered. From small children to old people. However the majority of was between 25 and 35. The lighting in the hotel was very good and one has a really pleasant atmosphere. We were very comfortable there. read hotel review

The rooms are very clean, big enough and have a balcony. We had super view of the pool. The refrigerator was very cold. We found the sensational, since in the morning starting from 7 o'clock already 30 °c and a dip then nevertheless very good. The rooms were clean and had: A tv (no german channels) A hair dryer Closet Mirror Soap, shower stuff, towels 2 single beds 120 times 200 sunbathing area (for couples, you can these together) Chairs for the balcony Telephone So everything a hotel room and the in great condition.

We the food very good pleased. For a 4 star restaurant, the selection was for the lunch and dinner was very big and there was plenty of choice. Also pasta freshly prepared every day and you could with the finishing watch ☺ The hotel was every day a different meal, or with ideas (for example barbecue, other desserts) the guests to feed varied. The only thing that we didn't like the breakfast was. This was very monotonous and as the Egypt much sweet food, there were partly also already for breakfast 'sweet pastries'. For reserving a toast or a sweet rolls (normal rolls there was not), was only one sort of sausage and 3 sorts of cheese available, as well as jam in 3 different sorts. We found that rather poor. Nevertheless, there was also food such as crepes, french toast, scrambled eggs and fried eggs (freshly made). For people who so what in the morning food is absolutely in order. There were always empty plates cleared and fresh cutlery ones. That was very pleasant, since you didn't have a capacity search had, because there may still dirty plates or similar stood there. The restaurant itself was very nice. Large, clean, nicely decorated and the terrace had a brilliant view of the town. It was very comfortable. We have to criticize only the snacks the of 17 to 18 o'clock at the pool. Here only the sweet rolls from the morning. A sort of sausage and 3 sorts of cheese. Of al supplement there was either slices (the okay were or small small sausages (rather unappetizing). The pool bar was always occupied, you always have your drink quickly and you could with the staff also gladly times a little chat. Also here thumbs up. The selection of drinks is of the variety was absolutely in order. Orange juice, multi-juice, Cola, Fanta, Sprite, water, different liquor, coffee, tea. One should however before place buy something to drink for the night or morning, since the bar to 23 hours and one nevertheless night sweats and one morning enormous thirst.

The service was really great! The whole staff was nice, helpful and very friendly. You are looking for the contact to the guests, converse with these and questions also, if everything is okay. Most of the staff spoke english, polish and russian. For german no english could be a bit difficult to communicate. It was also constantly staff locally you ask for help could (for example, opening the umbrellas). We have, inter alia, snorkel lent get, which we until the end of the holiday to keep so that we didn't had to get. For this helpfulness and friendliness one is also gladly ready a little tip, especially since the staff at Egypt for a pittance hard work. We were very pleased with as much devotion the rooms were cleaned. There were always smaller decorations placed in the room (small flowers, the clothes were decorative folded or the order of the badezimmergegenstände ). Also here is a tip unvermeindlich, since really thoroughly cleaned. We were again very thrilled! Even big praise to the employees näil and Hasan the shisha bar. They were very nice and went out of their way to a cared if one was there (for example snacks vorbeigebracht, often asked, wether everything is okay etc.) The entertainment team was also very nice and friendly. And were always tried the guests to

The animation team was great! There were always activities were offered, and you never boredom get. Water polo, gymnastics, Volleyball, table tennis, darts, water basketball, and various shows are just some examples of the diverse programme. In the evening was actually daily offered with the entertainment team still partying, visiting the city or similar The entertainment possibilities were we really loved it and we have even seen with wiviel effort and dedication talk here was. There were enough beach chairs available at the pool, the water is clean, the showers, as well as the quality of the water is perfect. In the lobby is a free wi-fi and available at any time.

  • Location

The hotel is about 800 metres away from the hotel's own beach. This is not a problem, since you either to foot go (Naama Bay) or with a shuttle bus daily each hour drives there could be brought. But this is a beach less recommendable, as he is very small and not really nice (rather good to book of activities). Therefore it is worth much more to other hotel's beach ( habada beach, daily shuttle bus every hour). This is really breathtaking. It is possible to snorkel. One has the corals once scattered is the underwater world was simply beautiful. The beach is clean and tidy. The hotel is the town is only a stone's throw away. One goes from the hotel entrance about 100 stairs down and is immediately on a bazaar. Here crowding some traders sell their goods want (partly very pushy). You can also good night there (for example to celebrate, relaxxen, food or smoke shisha). It is not loud in the hotel, you get only one to two times on the day a plane to face, which is however not a problem. You can hear no cars or loud people from the street. The hotel is really in a brilliant location for a 4 star hotel with direct access to the beach. Everything was still very easy to reach and well organized. Therefore also here thumbs up!
