Decent hotel for a business trip with reliable service. Not very flexible to deal with early arrivals which resulted in having to wait many hours in the lobby before check in could be accommodated. First receptionist was not very helpful in providing information on where to work on my laptop during the waiting time, but another receptionist was kind enough to advise on where to go in the area so I could wait and work with free wifi in a nice coffee shop close-by. Hotel is a fine location for business trips, I would not really recommend it for a ... romantic weekend in Sydney read more

Better it does not go nearly, the hotel is centrally located in the rocks area, the roof ( swimming pool) one view over the opera house and the Harboour bridge. You can almost everything on foot go, rock area is on the doorstep, Ferries, about 5 minutes, Downtown, 10 minutes.
For a short stopover that is hotel ideal.
We had booked only rooms, as there was enough restaurants nearby gives. read more

chic hotel in a great location in the middle of 'the rocks'. And sparkling wine as a honeymoon special and free safe and if no ship moored is you can see the top of the opera from the rooms. And view from the pool to the opera (where you prefer the few meters directly to the opera is) and very good breakfast (to try price of 19 on). Cost normally on 27 ☹ and ice cream in the fridge-not the most modern design read more

We have booked the hotel based on the positive reviews on this portal. We were not disappointed and. The reviews are exactly the picture, which we got from the hotel. Great hotel for Sydney!
We had booked a standard room on the lowest floor (6 for 5). We have got an attic room on the top floor with view on the opera. What more could you ask for? I would like to mention the noise level in the rooms. Since the hotel is so central, one has the noises (S-Bahn, trains, highway.) permanently. Also the closed windows create bit ... easier. We have the six nights sleep with ear plugs, the hotel was very good.
Apart from that, have fun in Sydney! read more

Great city hotel with a, if not the best, location in Sydney. From the rooftop pool you will have a look to the harborbridge, then for the other of the Sydney Opera and then on the fantastic skyline from Sydney. Great! The hotel itself is very nice and has a nice flair. Absolute tip for Sydney vacationers. read more

We agree with the many ratings, the hotel can recommend it. One can reach much to foot, the view from the pool is awesome. The breakfast buffet was very delicious and varied and the rooms are very clean. Sydney is such a great city, very relaxing, the people very friendly. We will definitely go to Sydney travel and this hotel that we would stay there again. Help, again I went were already homesick... read more

The hotel is situated in the beautiful historic area: The Rocks. It is completely to a 4 star standard. The rooms are modern and brightly decorated and absolutely clean. We had a room without breakfast but we had breakfast each morning at the hotel, although everywhere enough possibilities outside of the hotel. We liked the breakfast was more than enough for us. Guests were mixed, many Australians and English. The absolute highlight is of course the roof terrace. The view of the Harbor Bridge and opera house was great. We didn't use the pool as it except for reasons quite ... windy and for the March was quite cool. read more

The truism agents include here: the location of the hotel makes a majority of the popularity. Otherwise you will find in the hotel everything as before, as you in a 4 * holiday inn,. Many people have mentioned the roof terrace with its pool really offers a breathtaking view, but the whole area a bit of a redecoration (furniture, pool, floor coating, shower) necessary.
Overall the hotel they made us for relaxing days at the end of our vacation. read more

The old building fabric of the former warehoue/has been maintained and stepped into a state of the art hotel. There is no dark hallways, but you can see from each floor in the, patio, " by is located below the lobby and the breakfast restaurant. The hotel has 175 rooms with views of the city or the harbor (partly both) The rooms are newly renovated and perfectly clean. Wireless Internet access in all rooms, flat-screen TVs the latest generation. Internet terminal on the ground floor for a fee (30 minutes a $ 5, -) We had booked including breakfast and ... it was well worth it. The only drawback, there is no restaurant for dinner in the home. read more

Actually everything is already said, for Old Sydney Holiday Inn - if you like it is central in The Rocks to not past. Large rooms with a flat screen TV, kettle and coffee/tea, bathroom newly renovated, everything is very clean and well maintained. The restaurant for breakfast is for the size of the hotel was too small - we had to wait 10 minutes until places ri were. The pool on the roof is small, but the view compensated for the opera and the Harbor Bridge more for that. read more

The Old Sydney is situated in the heart of the district "The Rocks and the old town of Sydney. There are ample restaurants, cafes and shops. And the information center is just next door. And a staircase leads up to a few minutes to the promenade from Sydney Harbor and to Circular Quay. From there you can smaller or larger excursions start with boat, bus or train. Downtown destination as botanical garden, queen Victoria Building, Hyde Park, Darling Harbor or Chinatown by or easily within walking distance. Very close to the Harbor Bridge. From the outside the hotel looks rather ... low-key. Get into the interior, the mighty impressive story central atrium, which features, the eight floors up tight. The huge lobby are a small bar, reading corner and reception on the sides style, so that in the middle of the room plenty remains open space. Breakfast is served in the 1 Floor on a lovely terrace. As reservations usually only the nights include, must be paid extra for breakfast. You can choose continental (18 AUD) and full (24 AUD). access to the 176 rooms on each floor you about itineraries. One of them, a beautiful view into the atrium. The higher the floor, the better are the rooms. Our room on the fourth level standard to a 4 star hotel. On a side street, it was quiet at night and you could sleep with the windows open. On the roof terrace is a small swimming pool. It has a great view of the harbor, the bridge and opera house and the skyline of Sydney. In conclusion, we had the hotel on our last stay due to its ideal location and that they found. And we will be back to Sydney again, we will be staying the Old Sydney. The location makes's. read more
