Lopesan Costa Meloneras Resort, Spa & Casino^{(4 stars)}

For the money really bad. Furniture partly scratched and very spartan. With us hanging a nails without picture on the walls. The paint, quietschgelb. Not nice.

The two restaurants are like a cantina. It is noisy, hectic and crowded. The food was okay, after a week you are looking forward but already again a other better kitchen. So, in no case something for gourmets. The glasses had abgestoßene edges and lippenstiftreste.

The staff tried hard, but you can tell you the stress. With the food you had the last bite hinuntergeschluckt, are already the plates were taken away. Everything was pretty hectic. Child friendly they are, that they must leave. Room service was alright. At the last day we had a cockroach in the bathroom... Yuck!

The only really nice thing about the hotel the garden and pool area. The pools are nice large nicely arranged and with many, many palm trees. For sun worshippers not so cheap, since you are constantly around. Egen must, because once again in the shade is. In the evening there was a small mini disco for the children, our son was of course really great. The highlight was the mascot a dolphin called punchy, the then in the costume there rumtollte. After the mini disco played a band... Was very ok, but also no gänsehautmusik. The sports offer was ok.

After we the great reviews of the hotel read had, were our expectations correspondingly high! Unfortunately the hotel a disappointment and really not recommendable! The hotel with its 2500 beds huge, therefore there are in the hotel and in the restaurants crowds of people... Not relaxing we found. The guest structure is old, old and old again. So rather a hotel for seniors. Also, it was alarming as many smokers there were met! Each to their own but over all glimmstengel, that must not be!

With the bus one drives about 1,5 hours to the hotel, after the whole other holiday-makers at their hotels had brought. In the immediate vicinity there are supermarkets, restaurants and other shopping possibilities. All within walking distance. For the hotel is the promenade with some cafes. One of the blocks is so terrible touristy with Schnitzel and co. , since you could just to Ballermann can fly.

Size the room ok, very dark, so you probably the aging not correctly can see ☺ it just missed the light everywhere, even in the bathroom was dark! Facilities ok, beds were great, i borrowed me an ability for my hws from (of course had to be paid). Otherwise really in need of updating, everything was already very worn, the shower and bath you get no longer clean...

Still has the loud cafeteria atmosphere changed. The Alameda is somewhat small and quiet (we thought ☺ ) but on the last few days it was completely overcrowded and it came to wait or bottlenecks with the refill of the meals. Cleanliness and hygiene were very good. This year the fruit offer was very poor and also the dishes somehow always the same... Tasted very different, you knew already, what one could eat and what not! At the bars at the pools we couldn't eat, the dishes tasted not at all and were completely overpriced! Anyway we had the impression, after some replacement of the restaurants, the prices substantially dressed have.

Again very nice staff, only in the restaurant atlantico we were three unfriendly waiters, as in the previous year, negative. Foreign language skills at the front desk super and the cleaning staff understood with hands and feet ☺ room cleaning average. We needed this time unfortunately a doctor and it worked very well. The doctor twice a day in the hotel, speaks german and also took me in his car with, because i have an infusion of needed. I felt very in good hands! Customer service taken care of and inquired also agitating!

The leisure offer was every day almost right: tai chi, Steps, aqua gym, pilates, yoga... Our teenagers enjoyed it every day used, were always disappointed, because there will be more on the older generation was directed. We were a few time in the disco, but again and again the same music, it was boring... Only the cocktails cost half and tasted delicious! The loungers at the pools were very good, if one which abbekommen has... They were already from around 7:30 a. m. manned, but this time was a few days from the management effectively and the towels away. The pools were me personally too cold.

See my information from the previous year... The guest structure was this year completely different. There were a lot of children and young families in the hotel, what the flair a ' rentnerhotels' finally lifted ☺ we had booked half board, not every evening on the search for something edible to be. Unfortunately the beverages not included, which was very costly is!

See review 2012. Amazing! One sees the sea from the large terrace and if you are on the best ' locations' snatched, if one has this view whole day over! We drove back with a private transfer from the airport to the hotel and were around 15 to 20 minutes. Shopping, restaurants, everything easy to reach.

Large and nice. Including 32' lcd with about 12 channels in german.

As mentioned: 'gut' but not 4 stars

How already initially was written the service not good, since there was hardly any german and english was spoken and the staff apparently in chord works.

The pools are great, unfortunately often very crowded. In the off season or with children is the pool area hardly to exceed.

In february 2013 we were for 6 days halfboard included in the Costa Meloneras. Overall, we were only halfway good, considering the low price it was. The RIU Palace Meloneras next door has much better, it is however also about 30% more expensive. The just good evaluation of the two hotels here is however only to justify, if you budget or a lot of value on the pool area sets. Pros: - very nice pool area - huge and good room - close at the beach - gym with lots of devices. I could my full workout make. Cons: - the food is not really a 4 star standard. It is not bad and more than enough, but everything only 'good'. - both dining rooms and outdoor patio dining areas are extremely loud, crowded and uncomfortable. For us this is the main reason, probably not go back. - the service in restaurants and bars is really bad! The staff has no time and spoke hardly any german or english. Even simplest requests are hit or are not understood. - the pool area is although it is very nice, the loungers in the sun were always (!) All occupied. Many beach chairs were reserved and nothing is done about this. - the internet via wi-fi in of the lobby is almost useless, since emails on the cell phone to check gladly times 5 minutes. - although our room actually was quiet, managed the cleaning ladies regularly, us to wake up. Tiled flooring and sliding beds made every few minutes for a noise, by the whole house. - despite request after ungetrennten we had exactly these: easy schiebbare separate beds, the drifting apart. Together to sleep was almost impossible, unless you sleep in a bed. - the animation program in the evening was filled with the entire bar and outdoor area. If you with the RTL-level (not bad, but descriptive intentioned) nothing can start, can after dinner the hotel no more to use.

The beach was quite close and the promenade quite nice. Except for the beach and the 4-5 star hotels but there is little to discover. Nevertheless, taxis cheap, for 6 Euro one comes to Playa del Ingles (there are a lot of concrete and nightlife).

We had a room with a pool view. It was then very favorably in 2. floor with a view of the 'quiet pool '. Far away from the reception-and nightly music/dance shows, the quite nice, but with 'sound' are connected. Size, furnishing and condition flawless. There was a balcony, lcd tv with some german channels, as well as a mini bar (for a fee of course). Bathroom with tub, separate shower, 2 sinks, toilet. Spacious and clean!

2 great restaurants for breakfast and dinner. Also some restaurants à la carte. The two main restaurants are very big (must be) and also have an outdoor area. The 'atlantico' like us in the outdoor area better-here you can have breakfast in the sun to take, if you in accordance with timely and such a table got. In our case it was until shortly before 9 o'clock possible. Then the sonnentische occupied-and if you want to have a little later, must be in the queue, a table in the open to get. Tables in the interior area were always available. For breakfast there is something for everyone. The coffee from the pot you can confidently - the coffee from the large machines tasted much better! Fruit juices are constantly freshly squeezed and jugs provided. Dinner in 2 meetings (18 and 20 hours; said the front desk). The 'Alameda' the respected and us for example around 7:50 p. m. not recessed (understandable and ok; it was full!). In atlantico you the not so tight, since we were always assumed and got a table assigned. The entrance into the restaurant, the room card from all room inhabitants and scanned; it is also a 'credit' in the entire property! The choice during dinner was quite varied; some of the food could have been a kind preparation and presentation needs. But-for a week it was alright (the building is a 4-star hotel...) -, whether the menu after a week repeatedly, we don't know.

Front desk friendly and anxious; sufficient to good german language skills; as well as english. The room cleaning was in our case very friendly - thorough-foreign languages we didn't try it.

Extensive sports and entertainment offer; huge board has to offers and times now. At the pools no annoying entertainment or request, to something to join in. There are 4 different pools, different temperatures. Cleanliness and maintenance perfect! The complex the pools and their area (plants, beach chairs) is really good -see the photos!

The hotel lies in the Meloneras district, only through the lively promenade from the beach separately. The lighthouse, as well as the dunes are in the immediate vicinity. The complex is huge, the construction strong and well structured with several patios. From the outside it is the building no architectural success-functional, but that was it already. The large garden or parks are carefully planned and elaborately designed. The rooms are spacious, clean and functional. The cleaning in the house and also in the garden is constantly and thorough. We had booked half board. The guest structure contains at this time of year little children and young people; everything was very quiet and pleasant. Like us reported, is the building in the summer holiday very strong-as should the operation at the pools and in the restaurants are.

The start of the dunes and the sandy beach is about minutes distance. The water temperature of the atlantic are always' refreshing '-and in february about 18 °c. Transfer from the airport - with some stopovers in other hotels - about 1 hour. Various supermarkets and shops with molton brown products in the immediate vicinity. Bus no 5 minutes away.

The rooms were sufficiently large, the same applies to the bathroom (shower and tub). Also here everything is very clean. The room had a safe (for a fee), tv, balcony, air conditioning (quiet) and a minibar, and telephone.

The restaurants were partly at its capacity limit, there were the because of the good weather always available. The atmosphere in the restaurant was partly somewhat 'cafeteria style'. As the with bad weather and a fully booked hotel looks i would like to not imagine. The quality the food was generally good. There was almost everything, from the tenderloins steak lamb until tuna. Small drawbacks you had to occasionally in the preparation of the food make.

The staff is usually well trained, has good fremdsprachenkenntnisse and is exceptionally friendly - we, especially in Spain already completely different experienced. On some days there were in the restaurant not enough staff, therefore you had to partially longer for drinks etc. Wait. The cleaning of the rooms was extremely good and thorough, overall was the hotel very clean. Only exception the reservoir for the ice spoon. But it was to a point immediately improved. The management seems to the cleanliness very hard.

During the day there was little entertainment, but of course not comparable to a club hotel. In the evening there was a show, and live music. The condition the pools and everything around was excellent. Even the toilets in the pool areas were very clean. The fitness room costs 7€ per day, i thought that was a bit over the top! Towel change costs 1 €, i think were clean and ok.

The hotel is huge but also very clean and mostly in a very good and well maintained condition. The food is consistently good, particularly for spanish standards. The staff is extremely attentive and usually well trained. The beach is only a few minutes away. Guest structure: mainly spanish, german and dutch. Free wi-fi there is only in the bar area, the connections are bad and break regularly entirely. Therefore it is worth probably no internet wireless access?!

The hotel is in Meloneras, a upper part of Maspalomas. The beach is a few minutes away, the longest part of the path there is in the hotel. The airport is approximately 30 minutes away. Nearby there is several small shopping centers, shops, as well as bars and restaurant. Directly in front of the hotel there is a bus station.
