After a short voyage through frankfurt city centre (the hotel can't but) we found it. Entrance unfortunately only with stairs to overcome and only taxi ranks outside. Car so only on the opposite sidewalk 'place'. Staff to the front desk after a short time and with buggies also helpful. Check in problmemlos. Desire for crib well. Elevators rather small for families with strollers and luggage. Our room was then probably furthest away from the lift (x16), but we didn't bother whs anyone. As we were in a corner were, had the Wimmer on 2 sides windows, as well as the ... entrance and it was of a larger-than the other room. Rather a plus. The bass of the nearby the disco only marginal bother us. The breakfast buffet (via on-line reservation site than inclusive achievement to get, via hotel web site extra) was great. The diversity, the declining quantity and the quality: perfect. The staff needed degrees momentschen and our wish to receive. The room could have been any breakfast room in the midwest can be.
Conclusion: highly recommended also with family. read more

Hotel in older classic style. A lot Gold! The suites are really top and very large. The bathroom is very luxurious, with integrated TV in the wall and touchscreen (for the temperature) in the shower. The beds very high and large. The meal or the breakfast versatile and delicious. But as mentioned it is a classic hotel. read more

At the time of our stay was in the hotel rebuilt. Our wedding anniversary and thus wellness day we could not as thought into practice. The wellness-floor was completely closed. They offered us coupons for the nearby fitness studio at, but not for us into question came. Even at breakfast we had to put in a small space to evade, where table to table and no real feel-good atmosphere arose. Perhaps we visit the palatial hotel again after the changes. read more

After i already many a time stayed in this hotel have, i must this time say that the breakfast and the breakfast room a total catastrophe were. Even if the normal restaurant, the hofgarten was under construction, it should be possible, a certain level to hold. Old bread, bad sausage, inattentive staff and so on. So, not the yellow of the egg! read more

The frankfurter hof is for a short break in Frankfurt can only be recommended. It takes only approximately 20-25 minutes from frankfurt airport and is directly in town relaxed of where one of the shopping street within walking distance. The hotel is in a very lovely old building right on the Willy-fire-place (so also means the subway station).
For a long time we looked not in the room anyway, as we with friends met. But it was very neat and cozy, the room seemed as if it newly renovated been and we slept very well. The breakfast was very good ..., wide choice and everything fresh products. All in all a very relaxed stay.
The only problem, Frankfurt appeared with the demo's and the marathon as a city overstrained. We arrived at frankfurter hauptbahnhof almost 1 hour for a S-Bahn wait as they all were full. However, the berlin S-Bahn like a uhrenwerk ☺ read more

The Frankfurter Hof is surrounded by some of Europe's most impressive skyscrapers. The building itself is only a few stories tall, but still it manages to impress with it's classical palace-like architecture. The main entrance is a small letdown. One would expect to enter the building through the front gate. Instead, the entrance is a small door on the side of the building. Once inside, the elegance and atmosphere of the lobby will quickly remind you why you chose this hotel. read more

Traditional hotel in need of renovation

Traditional hotel in an unparalleled location directly in the center of the city and nevertheless an oasis of peace. Magnificent entrance, porters and other service available. Unfortunately, the rooms are not what you usually get in a five-star hotel. It is a problem that many hotels of the Steigenberger group are concerned with: old-fashioned rooms in need of renovation -> they waited too long and dit nothing or only little. The staff is kind of arrogant and don't possess the charm who you are addressed in hotels of other chains. Probably the reason for this lies with the top management. ... However, meanwhile they have recognized their problems, and the the focus on the guests will be better. For example at the desk: on my last visit two years ago, I was treated rather bitchy and unfriendly, this time, the ladies were very polite and nice. The gastronomy staff could need a workshop on attention and friendliness towards guests (waiters in the Oskars or the bar), I would like to exclude the sympathetic bartenders with French accent who always acted polite. The room definitely doesn't correspond to a 5 star hotel room in the year 2011 - here, a renovation is urgently needed, cleanliness was good, the room service worked. It is quite possible that the hotel becomes better (again) through renovations and training, but they have still a long way to go. Nevertheless recommendable, because a positive trend is recognizable. read more

The hotel room was very clean, I slept very well, because it was quiet and the bed was very pleasant;
However, the room had clear age use traces:
Crack in the wall, in the walk-in closet you could see through the ceiling air conditioning and cable the wirrwar, outdated TV, yellowed, hair-dryer, a bathtub with them but I would have liked, slippers etc. to have taken my.
The service/food was very good and the service for the seminars is also good.
In the hotel you can stay very well, it is centrally located,
But is the price/performance ratio for the ... room much to high.
For the money you can get much better quality room somewhere else! read more

**personal misfortune**
After booking the room over the phone for which I also got a written confirmation, everything went wrong from beginning to end. I booked a suite and a deluxe room next door to it. It was important at the time of booking, that we had a room for the children next to ours and a suite for the adults with a beautiful view. For 700 euros a night you can expect that 'really'. We got a larger room that was sold to us as a suite and a room at the other end of the corridor. After complaining ... they offered us the presidential suite for 1300 euros a night! What insolence! After a long exchange back and forth they gave us a different suite with the other room opposite it, that was a bearable solution.
**hotel**
Sauna, steam bath and gym room spread out across what felt like 50 square meters- they try to market as a Sky spa lounge! An absolute exaggeration. The sauna is a mere 50 degrees hot and is nothing like a sauna. Skylounge with a view from 2 mini windows and the gym room is something of a box room with a sloping roof. If we were talking school grades here, it would get an F.
**breakfast**
For a five star hotel the selection was rather small.

On the whole, the hotel is to die for perfect. If you are young and have some expectations, the Steigenberger Hof hotel is unfortunately an absolute flop. read more
