We were for the first time in a Riu hotel and we were really very satisfied! Everything was clean the employees very polite and also at the front desk it worked out great with being understood! The area is very nicely kept and animals (peacock monkeys and other.) Walked around freely! Unfortunately there were only the birds the problem the started already at 5:30 o'clock at cheerful and loudly to tswitschern ☺ so sleep in no chance! Food was varied and very tasteful! The drinks in the dining room one gets even otherwise it only if you with ... the food is ready! But that did not bother us! There are also several theme restaurants free mexican and steak house we checked in and it was very good! Drinks by the pool and beach were okay, just the cups i to be desired! If someone is sensitive, bring your own! The room is beautifully large even the bathroom! Drinks are refilled daily it was missing at nothing! Also alcohol! Unfortunately, it from the toilet and ventilation very unpleasant rausgerochen but i think that is numal so! Spa and massage area are also recommendable! Not included! Which i thought was very unpleasant, the in the entire hotel much too strongly air-conditioned, you must really what wear otherwise chesty you! There are shops in the hotel even or walk (about 30 minutes) or by taxi (7 Euro per drive ) into town Playa del Carmen we can really recommend ☺ One could pay with Dollar! The beach is great clean, only for us was the water a bit too cold! Shade possibilities there are very few but enough beach chairs! We had to at 12 o'clock the room already left, although the collection to the airport first from 16 o'clock was we found that not so great! On request it says unfortunately extension (1 hour) not possible as many journeys otherwise at a charge 40 Dollar But Riu definitely again ☺ read more

Hotel, beach and sea are fantastic. The staff was very friendly and always in a good mood. With the food does not exist's which does not give it. The hotel is in april 2013 renovated, but it was nothing to feel. The rooms and the whole hotel is in the style of a mexican hacienda built and furnished. At the beach there was next to white beach countless palm trees providing shade. In the hotel is a park embedded, by different animals (including monkeys) run around. For entertainment and entertainment was from 10:00 until 22:30 o'clock made sure. ... There is also still another wassersportunternehmen (partly for a fee) In 25 minutes you are on foot in Playa del Carmen in the 5 avenue. From TUI offered many excursions or one travels on own fist. It was our 3. stay in Playa del Carmen: RIU Yucatan 2 time RIU Yucatan,1 time RIU Playacar. Food was varied, very tasteful, beautiful affectionately arranged issues decoration! Every morning fresh juice, i miss you! Many exotic animals, by the complex walked, great well-kept vegetation! Sports facilities / entertainment was good, might be improved. Beach very convenient for long walks. Sea-a blaze of colors-many waves. Evening beautiful shows, particularly the beach parties and the Michael Jackson Show were great. Cocktails delicious, staff attentive, funny, imaginative. Great tour opportunities- however too expensive-if in the hotel booked! read more

We were from the beginning until the end this vacation, 21,02. 13 until 08,03. 13, in paradise. To us there was nothing to complain about, everything around beautiful. The friendliness of the entire staff we must particularly emphasize, the was very pleasant, we also thrilled, the we knew neither of Cuba, the cathedral. The complex is typical all inclusive holiday-makers from USA and Canada laid out. More on this later for example with the room furnishings. On the whole you could some reviews here would agree, that the hotel a bit dated is, but nothing which was really disturbing noticeable. But there is in all places constantly improved and in the summer 2013 is now properly renovated. The cleanliness is great and even in the places in which constantly people with sandy feet through, was usually no grain to find. Wifi is in of the lobby 90 minutes on the day free, but ... unfortunately only one item! However on vacation 1 time a day short (maximally 90 minutes) go online should actually also be enough. read more

    As usual for long-haul journeys once again only Deutsche Welle as only german-language television program and a really old telly, but you fly not 12 hours go. Due to a disruption of our stay because of the trip, we were in two different rooms. Both were big enough and with huge beds. The cleaning of the rooms was perfectly alright. Something is habituation needy that the bedroom open bathroom. The hair dryer has not enough kraft and our from home brought had with the 110 v not more performance. The mini bar belongs to the all-inclusive and includes amongst others the wall criticized faucets with 4 bottles of liquor (Wodka, rum white/brown, Tequila) and each 2. day refilled. This tempted some partywillige in the style of hostels to zimmerfeten, which led, that we in the first part of the stay quite noisy, partyfeiernde neighbors had the amazing resilience had. We didn't complained, why we even debt, that we more than once whilst sleeping were disturbed.

    The hotel complex features 3 theme restaurants, a pool restaurant (is evening the mexican restaurant or steakhouse.) And several bars. (lobby, 2 swimup bars by the pool and 2 further outdoor bars) the 3. theme restaurant is a chinese. The opinions of a monotonous buffet which i here already read, i can divide not completely, because in the various restaurants and felt 100 metre long buffet in the main restaurant it should also a 3-week holiday possible every day something else to eat even if some stations at the buffet really gladly times. The offered dishes were delicious, but in my opinion unfortunately somewhat too touristy-timed. The right local and very delicious kitchen we had on our trip for example in merida.

    The hotel is directly at the beach, which from the pool area directly over stairs to reach is. There arrived to the right (south) follow only 2 or 3 hotels before the touristy developed area ends and the pure natural beach begins. In this Riu hotel it was super again. All areas of the park are very neat. The food was very varied and plenty of choice. The estate is very well maintained, the rooms are in a very clean state. From time to time 1 Dollar a little recognition does not harm. But not the feeling, that without tip worse services. While we were there, there were in the hotel about 50% german-speaking tourists, the rest consisted of Amerika, Canada and the spanish-speaking area. It is for us after 6 times Karibik the first time, the at the front desk someone ... was, the a good german spoke. This time we have 2 daytrips done. 1. with the nature reserve, isla contoy and isla mujerres and 2. isla cozumel, natural park of chankanaab and Tequila destille. Since we on our earlier travel a great tour guide met have, we have this travel booked directly with him. (information's on this german speaking guide is for me to ask). This hotel is at the time according to statement the front desk of at the end of april until at the end of july closed and renovated. Then possibly also the threepiece in the lobby ausgewechsel and another continuous wi-fi connection created. (threepiece very worn) each guest has 90 minutes per 24 hours wi-fi in the lobby free of charge. We in the morning with the cell phone our mails and evenings with the pad. So we had the double free time. The time difference Germany is in the winter time 7 hours back. If someone complained about 1.80 metres large, you know, as you are after 12 hours flight with Air Berlin feels. But, the country and the weather compensated everything. So, now be all the same great vacation, we in this country could enjoy. read more

Was now for the 17. time in the region. However this hotel was one of the worse. Was positive the beach. Without rock however therefor with many cigarette butts. Value for money of the hotel very good! Food variety very good! Dining room unfortunately because of the Size of the hotel very big! Surprisingly had to however at the buffet never lined up are. Büfettlänge very generous! Mittagessensmöglichkeiten at the beach and pools given. Room unfortunately somewhat needs improvement, however very big and clean!     The rooms had a nice size. It was everything available. During our stay, even the shower curtain washed! Towels were changed daily, even if they do not lying on the floor.

    The selection of food was huge! 'if you didn't find anything here, it was their fault. There were always different. One evening, there was even a sushi and chinese. But when 'main meal', there were mexican. From chicken to fish, everything was there. We have the possibility and us a table in the mexican restaurant. There was the food delicious!

    The pool was nicely designed, whereas we actually always at the beach were. He was clean and there was also enough sunbeds, at the pool as well as at the beach. In the pool bars, you always got delicious cocktails or something else to drink. And in the beach, at noon, one could still somewhat small eat. The entertainment wasn't pushy, we have soccer, Volleyball and air rifle shooting joined in.

Huge but also a very good hotel, great for swimming and relax. The complex is very to nature embedded with wonderful large tropenbäumen. It will be but also very many and good excursions were offered, the culture and the beautiful landscape to meet. However the excursions relatively expensive. Cleanliness is in this hotel paramount. Food is very plentifully and versatile, something for everyone. There are beverages in all variants. Particularly i would like to the staff's hospitality stress, from the front desk to the maid or room boys are all exceptionally friendly. The waiter in the hotel are prudent and ... fast and always also in german a few nice words for the guests desired. We have stayed in many Riu hotels travelled, the staff in the hotel was particularly friendly! The beach is very beautiful, great fine sand, you can also long hikes at the beach as well as on the street in the area companies. Euro-change not a problem, small bills you can at the front desk exchange. It was a dream holiday! read more

Every days several meat dishes, different sorts of fish, huge fruit buffet, huge cake buffet and ice gives it also. The selection of drinks is huge. Very many, well made cocktails and long drinks. None had any stomach problems, since everything was very hygienic was.

    In the evening there were professional shows, for you in Germany for sure loads of money would have paid. The entertainment during the day we didn't use. The pool is very nice and the beach is very clean and neat. Chairs are on the complex abundant. However, if you under an umbrella with view of the the sea want to lie, you should already at least at 09:00 o'clock his beach chair. Later only loungers by the pool free or at the beach. At the beach even donations only the palm trees shade. If you didn't feel the sun as good everyones, should rather a beach chair with umbrella on the complex select, the best there, where you the sea nice to see can.

1998 built area in very well maintained condition. The whole hotel area is tropical green and very well maintained. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Food very varied, wide choice, always fresh and tasty. Theme restaurants are rather the existing buffet similar. Large strong air-conditioned dining room, the possibility, to sit outside is, however somewhat limited. The rooms are appropriately large, wide beds, well-stocked mini-bar (alcoholic and non-alcoholic, enough water), large, covered balcony. The bathroom is to the room open, the toilet by door. The swimming pool is very clean and well cared for, many beach chairs (also in ... the very nice clean beach, partially with palm trees). Short boardwalk to the inanimate beach and to the place. We were at any time in this hotel again again. read more

I love the Riu hotels. Always faultless. The next vacation is also in a Riu. The staff are always friendly and courteous. Here means all inclusive really was all inclusive definitely further recommendable. With the wristband you can also in the neighbor hotels Riu except to the palace. But that didn't bother us. read more
