I have the hotel because of the good reviews for 2 nights during our round trip and was disappointed. On arrival it has first 20 minutes, until sorted out, where we in front of the hotel parking for Kofferentladen and check-in, respectively the car can stay, if checked in is. The fun 47 American Dollar per night costs has no one said! ( SUV Midsize ). Then a huge noise level in the lobby and environment. Happy hour - apparently until 12 o'clock at night! There were three of us in a room with 2 double beds and a mini ... bathroom. Designer hotel! Worn furniture without style, and a curtain as front door-which I would rather incongruous or unimaginative designate. Nice the staff were at check in ( cIRCA 2 minutes) and positively I would like to also the breakfast for American standards rate. Neither location, price-performance the questionable atmosphere may me move there to stay. read more

We stayed as part of our honeymoon for 3 days in Washington. The location of the hotel was good, because you could on foot about minutes at the white house or in 2 minutes walk to the bus station. Shops included restaurants and a pharmacy were right around the corner. Wi-Fi gave it after registration in the Kimpton-club. Which we not so great found was, that was not apparent, that the breakfast in the room price not included and if you are just a orange juice drink, you had to the full price for the full buffet pay. The size ... of the rooms was top, flat -tv and safe included, however the bathroom was small. Altogether we would the helix-Kimpton again. read more

The Helix hotel lies right near to the center. The white house is within walking distance in 15 minutes to reach. Remarkably, the POP-art design and the witty facilities. However it is in the lobby and at the bar quite loud ( music)! Our room was very big and peacefully located. However was the air conditioning so loud, that you had to sleep with earplugs. The bathroom was quite small and mountings in basins and shower had an renovation deserves. In short: good location and spacious room! ( positive) equipment partly in need of renovation! Nevertheless as close to the ... city three star hotel recommendable! read more

Recommendable hotel with small weaknesses. Ventilation in the rooms could be improved, handling of complaints (broken shower) also. Location for the exploration of the city center super, one reaches everything perfect within walking distance. Guest parking is expensive (about 36, -US $/ day). read more

The helix is an experience. From the great service to the design of the entire hotel Pop art and personal service. Furthermore, there is you in about 15 minutes to foot at the White House and the next coffee shop is only five minutes away.HCLFHLHCLFHLAt the check-in you were greeted very friendly and with tips and map supplied. Rental car was parked the (valet parking worked very quickly). Since we had just been to the free wine & champagne-hour arrived, we were handed a bottle of sparkling wine glasses for the room was pressed into the hand.HCLFHLHCLFHLThe staff ... at this hotel are extremely service-oriented and motivated. This positive mood transferred to the guests and are all laid back and have fun.HCLFHLHCLFHLOur room was in the Pop art style with a colorful sofa, a desk, a large wall-mounted mirror and a double bed behind a curtain. The large flat-screen tv with Music Center was swivelling and so both from the bed you could, as well as television from the sofa. The size of the room was spacious.HCLFHLThere were no closets, but a opened wardrobe in the hall to the bathroom with a few Kleiderhäken. There was a safe and mini, equipped with interesting things-small tip-just look:-).HCLFHLThe small bathroom including toilet is probably the only drawback, as long as you want. Here I could also the sink a new orange paint use, as the old paint.HCLFHLHCLFHLWe had a complaint, since the in-room safe did not work. if you modern designer moderate and crazy room loves, is here well waived, like crazy the whole is? Call time in the hotel, but please do not be surprised if suddenly the Schwarzenegger or Bruce Willis it is ☺ so the hotel has no choice good location if you have the Metro comes, footpath about 15 minutes and with suitcases is not, so by taxi. However on foot one is fast at the DuPont circle. the check in is cool and is rapidly. Friendly staff, brilliant bar in this area. the rooms are crazy, however brilliant. Modern huge large flat ... screen TV, easy wicked beds. breakfast was included however! In the context of a round trip we stayed for two nights in this hotel. The rooms and the bathrooms were very large. Everything was clean. The restaurant we didn't visited. In the immediate vicinity there's a small supermarket with coffee bar and a parallel street away from a large bio-supermarket. The White House is within walking distance. read more

    The room was for US standards extremely large and very well equipped. At the beginning the design was a bit hard to get used to, you will feel very quickly though very comfortable.

    I only used the breakfast, which was a little interesting. It is a fairly small breakfast buffet offered you either for $12 fully or individual parts thereof literally a la carte. While booking it was called a continental breakfast each morning would be free of charge. Upon check-in was lost a word, the next day I received on request two vouchers. For these gift card should you from the buffet was a vial juice, a bowl of fruit, a muffin or croissant and coffee or tea. Better than nothing but I found it was hard to get used to. In the same room as well as there are customers dinner is offered, but I didn't use it

    The hotel staff was always very friendly and helpful. I have wonderful answered all of my questions and looked after me. Only the staff at breakfast was a bit odd, although not rude and not as friendly as the rest of the staff.

    The hotel location is difficult to assess. On one side and you should not bad for example the Dupont Circle, with shops and restaurants after about 15 minutes walk. Nothing but really very close, but everything (the nearest underground stations) at least 15 minutes away. Now this is not a problem in the summer I imagine in the winter or when the weather isn't as enjoyable.

    Breakfast is really just continental. Only be recommended if it incl. Is. Other than that, it is with $13 totally overpriced. Bar is very small, but otherwise everything. Especially the lounge on the terrace is great on warm evenings.

    We had the first night noisy room, then changed demand without any problems and were able to book coupons for the hotel bar ( about $30 value ) as compensation. Parking was a Huge problem !! Since we arrived late in the evening had already closed car parks. At the hotel itself is only Valut-parking possible ( $35 night!!! ). It is impossible to a parking spot at the surrounding streets.

A rather small, but very modern hotel with large rooms and a large bathroom. All in Popfarben, took some getting used to, but not bad. Large flat-screen tv and fridge in the room. However, not much storage space for clothes etc. The service and the friendliness were very good. The breakfast average. Small room and possibility to sit outdoors. A hop on bus stops right outside the front door. Other than that, it is on the underground a bit further to walk. At night the bar was always extremely loud disco music. Good, that we stayed in the tenth floor. ... Unfortunately, the good impression was disturbed by ants and cockroaches in the bathroom was a bit 1. Still recommendable! read more

Hotel Helix is in a quietschbunten style. You had the impression that between the 50'he, 60 's and 70 's to jump back and forth. We booked the hotel with breakfast. The cleanliness was absolutely OK. To reach the room there was also a & to the steps to overcome the lobby. read more

    The room was facing the little patio out sight seeing. The room was a good size with a very large bed in a separate alcove with a curtain. In the room there was a couch with Footrest, flat screen TV, table and chair, chest of drawers, and hair dryers. The bathroom was unfortunately somewhat small. The safe is also free. Towels were sufficiently available, the cleanliness was good.

    We had booked the hotel with breakfast. The restaurant was the bar everything is set up. Bagels, muffins, pastries, fresh fruit, cereals, coffee, cream cheese, and jams. Everything was absolutely OK and delicious. Be careful: The tables shaked blasting annoying. We nearly at the coffee burned. But the restaurant but well air-conditioned. Partly too good, it was really cold.

    The friendliness and helpfulness was excellent. The check-in went very smooth and fast. To take care to go to this hotel, if you want to confirm your flights and students to print out the boarding passes. This will be shown to our room. Free of charge. The other operates the hotel has its own taxi/limo service, which you drive to the airport. The whole cost us just $18 . - + tip.

    The area around the hotel is good, American liesure level, the feeling of security is also well in the evenings. The subway Dupont Circle on foot in about 10 minutes. Transfer time from the airport was about 20-25 minutes. A block away there is a big Whole Foods supermarket with very many organic produce. Diagonally opposite the hotel there is a coffee shop and a 7 -eleven market. The parking is generally very expensive to American cities. If possible you should avoid them. Washington is not really big. Here you can take the public, or very much "ran out".

The new hotel is simply amazing. The front desk and bar is welcoming cheery, nice staff. Breakfast buffet costs $8.95 plus tax. Rooms are superbly furnished modern and comfortable with huge bed TV corner and couch and desk to make you feel at ease. Everything was clean. read more

    We had a nice, good sized room. The seating are not comfortable, but nice to look at. The bed was comfortable, but you have to 1.40 meters from space constraints almost get back. The bathroom is nice poppig but a little small.

    The staff, mostly young African Americans, was very friendly and helpful. While internet available but very expensive. Internet cafes we all over the tour of Florida not found. Either they had their own laptop with them or Good access in the hotels, often also free of charge.
