The hotel we have for a short stay booked. Our goal was, nearby the ziggo domes an affordable but nevertheless good accommodation. This we have Mercure found. With the taxi we have for the ziggo dome 15 €paid. We are back about 40 minutes' walk (smartphone navigation is thanks).
The mini bar, drinks, breakfast and food in the hotel is not appropriate (4, -€ for 0.2 liter Cola etc.). There are shops in the surrounding laufumgebung not (tip: take something).
Front desk and front desk ok, room, decor and cleanliness completely fine. In the room coffee and tea ... (kettle in the room) free. read more

The Hotel Mercure is located nearby the subway station Overamste. From the hotel the station you need about 10 minutes, so that this is not a real Obstacle. With the metro one is in 15 minutes in the city centre or at main station. The area around the hotel is very peaceful, there is also very little traffic. Accordingly is the gastronomic offer close to the hotel very limited, but also no problem is, as the center enough opportunities offers, food to go ( for example a dinner with a canals tour? -> very recommendable).
The check in ran problem-free ... and fast. Our room was in the 6th floor. The room itself has a middle size; you didn't lots of space left, right and front of the bed, is sufficient however completely and is for a stay for a few days enough. The bathroom is also medium-sized, but very lots of space in the shower cubicle has-also nice. The rooms are equipped with TV ( with various German channels), mini bar, safe, hair dryer and a kettle, as well as controlled air conditioning. Thus everything there, which one needed. The it is clean, although not exceptionally good. A hair on the bed, if you the room the first time enters, must not be actually. Apart from that had the room staff probably not improving, as the half-full coffee cup in the morning, leave. That you evenings go drink, is nevertheless rather unlikely.
Apart from that the hotel has also free Wi-Fi, which certainly also not bad is.
Altogether the hotel I can for a city break recommend. read more

As mentioned in the title written. One of the better Mecrure hotels.
Super friendly staff, from the reception to the room boy. Breakfast is very delicious. Everything was always sufficiently available, even if you sometimes at 09 o'clock for breakfast went.
But a drawback it has: the room on the 18 floor are directly under the roof and on the roof is the massive air conditioning. And generates a permanently buzzing tone. There are not at night to sleep.
Be right on the first night in the 17. Moved floor. Everything went without problem over the stage. The staff at ... the reception speak really magnificent English. Have immediately a bellboy sent, with the pack and carrying bags helped. read more

The check in for trial of nerves are... Unreasonably long check in/ check out operation even with standard reservations without any martini ( for example over tour operator such as TUI ). At the bar is also patience announced: if you're on a quick a drink or maybe a small something want to eat, should this visit not too scant calculate... The service staff was very polite and accommodating. read more

Good hotel, but some problems

Actually very nice hotel if you can overlook a few shortcomings. The location is for a city break unsuitable äher. Until the next tram station is about five minutes walk about 20 minutes and then to the city center with the tram. With the taxi it was (depending on the driver) between twelve and 35 €. So beware. The rooms are adequate but quite small and we had a 'premium' room already. Unfortunately when booking was called request for separate beds not met. And a bed with only a large blanket can also lead to problems other couples. The breakfast ... is quite visible, and in my opinion too small for a four stars hotel. The scrambled eggs very flaky and the bread very soft is probably due to the Dutch eating habits. At the front desk spoke all German not, therefore, you should have also English. Cruelest was check-out. About 20 minutes while I waited in the queue checked out around me about. 10 other people. And (I locked) every time there were differences with the mini-bar to clarify. So here is the most important tip: Please note: mini bar only open if you wanted to drink! The mini bar was some sensors at once notify the front desk, when it is open. And they charged under is, you can also has had something to drink! read more

We had a privileges room on the seventh floor (even though it was a special-price offer of double and F for 2 Nä for all in all 253, -had, this rooms cost apart from that 150, -/ NA ), all in all there are 13 floors, in addition to our room type has standard rooms and suites. The room had a double bed with a French duvet-which US as a couple right. The bathroom had a large shower, enough space to put things, a lighted make-up mirror, was very clean. Small negative: the door to the bedroom area was a ... sliding door, which is not in every aspect for privacy provides. Everything was very clean and maintained, the service staff worked quiet. The hotel is located in a quiet area just south of the city center, is a good start and had from Friday 7:00 P. M. and at the weekend free parking at the street. The parking behind the hotel, in principle, also valid for everyone ( camera surveillance possible, we didn't asked ) costs 20, -/ day. At the front desk they spoke English, which I did not bad or usual think, the audience is International, many couples and people on business trip, age about 20-60, very pleasant all in all. read more

A quiet room with good beds, a great breakfast, the from freshly squeezed orange juice to the salmon leaves nothing to be desired and metro or tram to the city center and ten minutes walking distance to-what more could you ask for. We were very pleased and would not hesitate to stay there again. If you enjoy the nightlife immediately after the fall in the bed but want to choose a hotel in the city center. For city breaks a hotel outside of the city, what us not disturb us however, since two uses for public transport: quick connection to Centraal Station with metro 51. The 20 minute trips exciting but across the city with the tram number 25. The hotel itself made a good impression; breakfast was good and varied. The room are something small. After a complaint but as compensation a room with view on the Amstel received. The first room had a broken heating related, without a valve. The change of the staff did something difficult, just as the promised craftsman on time ..., they offered a new room to. Therefore a small minus point in the evaluation. read more
