In march 2013 we were on our honeymoon on a little piece of paradise on earth.
Already on arrival (with the speedboat 45 minutes) one is overwhelmed in the area, the crystal-clear water, the lots of fish and the great view from the jetty on the small island.
You will very friendly from management and makes its first steps on the small island (with shoes, the after the check-in in the closet -100% barefoot island!)
The island has 3 categories of rooms: standard, superior and water bungalows (the water bungalows but they should in the next months / next year ... rebuilt/torn down).
There the island currently three stars has, one should also not all too much with the food. Unfortunately the fish and the meat always very dead fried or deep-fried. Furthermore there is hardly any variation in the choice. And always only rice and pasta is nothing.
The rooms are very clean and the standard category was for us nothing to complain about. There was a good air conditioning, 3 beds in the double room, an open bathroom, and it was still 2 times cleaned daily!
The service sometimes left to be desired, and it arrives, who your waiter was.
Guests were predominantly german, a few french and a few austrians.
The beach and the water are fantastic. Daily to drive up to four tours to large reefs where snorkeling. 2 trips are daily in the all inclusive. (schildkrötenriff always the tour from 10 to 11 o'clock take).
One sees but also to the island already really lots of different fish ( riffheie, lionfish, moraine, clown fish, einhornfische, stingrays and so on.)
We hope, that the island, contrary to all speculation, increases to 4-5 stars to come, because the size of the island provoketh enormous. It would be a shame, if it is to an expensive resort with a pool inside would develop.

We are recently from our first stay on Summer Island back and were on the whole very satisfied. I would like to but also aware small faults negatives, so that one as good a picture above the island make can.
The worst at the whole island was the audience. There are especially german-speaking tourists there, of which about 75% from the lower level are and actually get to the Ballermann as to the Maldives fit and the fantastic picture of a paradisiacal island but a bit dark. Nice island for a relaxing hotel. If you don't have high expectations, you are here just perfect.
Speedboat transfers 50 minutes we are at 9:00 o'clock landed and then had to on another plane waiting, but with refreshments catered for. For lunch we were then on the island.
The first impression at the airport was a bit wild, because an construction and was very loud.
We were a week with all-inclusive and the simple room type taken (without tv and fridge) it is only air conditioning and hair dryer. Functional decorated. All other have tv and refrigerator and wireless ... internet.
Momantan are bungalows renovated, there you could hear the construction noise.
Twice the week is a fish feeding and then sharks, rays, morene and many colorful fish.
Twice a day you can take a boat for snorkelling out. And there, there are a beautiful underwater world and water turtles.
Definitely snorkelling equipment with fins carry forward.
Towels for the beach and mattress than aufliege for the plastic, is easy.
Sun protection for the head.
Light clothes, shoes one does not need, whole holiday on the island barefoot.

Standard bungalows are ok. The superior are very nice, but you have the construction for the whole day.
With a small selection i would in principle with a three stars island not a problem, if what is edible would be. I have 8 days long only rice or noodles eaten, the only geniebare. Also the friendliness ... of the staff is very questionable. The cleanliness in the restaurant is also a real nightmare, the plates or glasses you should not exactly.
If you drinks like to eat have would like must one the waiters first at least 15 Dollar give, otherwise gives it first times nothing at all. Should actually the tips a belohung for a friendly service, this is it to be different.
The excursions the offers are manageable-only 3 offered: male, Iceland hopping and another. We have isand hopping made, what really a nice trip was.

We have already been for the 4. time on this very nice island and very clearly the changes in the last two years can see.
Old concrete ways are gone and there was a lot of sand. Correct great it is and the construction noises is not at all as bad as it was written.
Since in direct proximity to currently built angestelltenwohnheim no bungalows rented is the biggest noise already excluded. One should however be disturbed and simply bad luck with its bungalow it is above the ground in 30 minutes cleared and one moves. In the best case ... you know its wunschnummer and can this management (mr Mohamed w.) say, the then immediately everything else leads.
So done with us, but that is not because construction noises, this would clearly have preferred.
We had the luck and seven other couple the neighborhood also, the a family with three small children has, each possible second relaxation with zorngeheule or other actions to prevent. That is why the whole beach section ( seven couple) moved.
We will have a wonderful superior bungalow in a engelslage for us have discovered and transferred.

The old standard bungalows were a bit shabby or just a bit old, but when you go on?
The beach and the entire island was for the whole day swept, the rooms twice daily mopped. The servers were always tried hard and friendly.

This is simply not true. So if you have the choice with a star hotel the Turkey or Egypt compares it is really bad. But it had no 5 stars.
But if you the quality compares it is at least exactly good or better. At least we know nobody with stomach problems and it is excellent.

We were the first on this island and, despite poor reviews not disappointed. You can forget the shoes at home leave, the peace and quiet enjoy and take a break from everyday life. The hotel with its 3 stars!
(here you have to simply keep in mind, that hardly a three stars hotel in Egypt would book, but 5 star expected) was for us a dream. We need no dress code to eat or luxury in the room where we only for sleeping are. We looking for relaxation and wanted time with our daughter and have spend great conditions found. Our standard bungalow was number 28 and right at the water front (as almost all). A great view, pleasant staff, clean rooms (2 times daily cleaning) and peace had a great relaxation factor ... brings. read more

Siv is a three stars island and the is a perfectly adequate, we were very warmly welcomed, our regarding the water bungalows was wholeheartedly met, our bungalow was always very clean kept very pleasant we found the wine and fruit in the evening found, great is also that we a kettle with coffee,-tea, sugar, and milk powder had, so we always comfortable evenings after a lot of sun at the beach cozy a coffee drunk on the balcony. Currently the hotel i can still recommend it. But we heard, that it in the next months to further construction will come (water-bungalows and a new restaurant)

In january we are on the island %blank%. We booked through the worst reviews the last few weeks and months with the worst expected, but what we then found there was very positive. The superior bungalows were nice, size is ok and a beautiful open bathroom. Unfortunately i can't recommend, because there are almost all construction noise. We were in 216 and bars near the hotel were totally a catastrophe! Behind the bungalows, a huge two-storey buildings for the employees built. Since the whole still a construction, this building site still accordingly long exist. Work from morning 7:30 a. m., it is punctually from. Including boater and drill. The then until late in the evening, 22-23 hours are no rarity. If it stupid is, by sunset front the excavator and back blasts ... the drill. That is unacceptable! If you don't set importance on pool, luxusbungalow and animation sets, but rather walk barefoot and quite casually the
Soul, is on Summer Island just perfect. We were already there several times and never has a relaxing effect after the vacation so long stopped.
