We had a dhonakulhi residence receive on the side with the reef.
Size really very big for two persons, the condition was very good and it was 2 times cleaned daily.
Wi-fi included, we had half board, we could in the main restaurant and in the asian restaurant food, usually a la carte, no surcharge for any food.
Universe inclusive i would not recommend if you don't every day wants to drink wine because it is very expensive.
There were many germans but also lots of russians and chinese there, the russians are of course negative, however one sees on ... this island so and so only if the food was not so bad.

Couldn't be better! Because of the size of the villas with private estate and private beach and butlersystems especially good suitable for families with lots of children. For divers a dream: one is always the only boat on the diving spot and mantas without limits! read more

Since 11 years we are traveling to the maledives. We have seen most of the top hotels.Some are more exclusiv.
In terms of size of the iland an conditions of beach and reef nothing could come close. You feel like robinson cruso,but pampert on a high level.By the way the breakfast is outstandig.If you like nightlife ,don,t come.

We had a rambaa retreat with half board booked. The villas are very clean and general very generous. They are but somewhat outdated now. Each villa features a large garden and a private condition section. The other guests we hardly noticed. The rooms are equipped with free wi-fi. This is a not so quickly, but it works. On the day the rooms are because of the dark wood a little dark. In the evening are you in favour of very nice. As far as we have heard, is the hotel will be renovated soon. read more

Island Hideaway is the best/nicest resort we stayed at to date !
We just spend an amazing week on Island Hideaway with the aim to establish the fly fishing option around the atol. I am pleased to say that Island Hideaway is the best resort we have stayed at today with amazing accommodation, meals, service & natural beauty !
We caught a number of good sized bonefish averaging 5lbs from both sand banks in the islands lagoon and saw plenty of trevally, both blue fin & giant for those looking to stretch them selves.
There are a number of other ... suitable sand keys with in a 15-20 minute boat ride from the island as well for those who enjoy exploring new flats. There would also be great blue water fishing in the are and we often saw birds working above fish while travelling between islands.
Conventional fishing for giant trevally up to 60+lbs would also be possible along with jigging for dog tooth tuna, bill fis etc with only limited commercial fishing be found in this area.
Over all Island Hide away is a perfect location for those looking to take the family or partner away for an amazing holiday on a beautiful island - while still being able to sneak some quality fishing in !
We did have patchy weather due to the change in season with the south West Monsoons arrival and would suggest fishing would be better between December & March.

It was a perfect vacation! Because of the butler concept I was skeptical, but I was convinced. Our butler was very nice and I always had a contact person for our needs. This also the eternal consider, if you like a lot of tips. We had only booked bed and breakfast, and so I would do it again. The breakfast buffet is outstanding (sushi, incredible selection of fruit, plenty of bread, everything fresh, everything was there). The only point of criticism: the wine prices are too high. The cheapest wine (a very acid rose) costs 40 euro. read more

The island holds, what it promises. For all the people, the peace and tranquility. The decor of the villas, the food, the friendly and professional care of the staff, as well as the swimming and snorkeling possibilities are, what you would expect from a quality vacation in the Maldives. We have stayed in many Maldives Islands visited. Island hideaway is the best, what we saw and experienced. And we also believe, it may be better not a lot more. We have large expectations flew to the island. They were exceeded in all respects. From the friendliness of the staff of the food and the cleanliness of the villa, we could only positive on the island. Our kids (5 & 12.) were pampered by our personal butler named Baree so, my wife and I had the time to read in peace and quiet, with a good book and enjoy the peace to curl.
The Island is in a great natural condition. It is really very nice to watch the rest of the vegetation.
You can go directly from the ... villa in water, snorkeling, swimming or just take a break from everyday life.

We have been here now four times on the Maldives, we liked this island bislnag the best. You will be pampered and left nothing to be desired. Great kids club by our kids (2 & 5) have felt comfortable, that we go in peace at the beach and evenings could play tennis. The butler took some getting used to is, but after three days, you would not miss it more!
The naturalness of the island is really great! The vegetation is so much left in peace and not constantly swept up some sheets. The reef nearby, a dream!

The hotel is good, but the nature was the real star of this region. The possibility for swimming, snorkeling or diving on this island as well and easy to use, the the very good and spacious hotel facility is almost negligible. The bungalows are very spacious, the garden beautifully large and the distance to the neighbor pleasant. Nevertheless, you could be disturbed by the neighbors, if they take no account of the rest.
The best beach for swimming is on the east side, beautiful lagoon. The West reef is on the canal with fantastic sunsets, but sometimes narrow beach sections. ... The restaurants bungalows have the better beach sections, but expect more acceptable to. But there was really hard. You much privacy.
The food was found to be an absolute plus. That started at breakfast with a huge selection of the gorgeous fruit, the snacks to the evening dinner. We have very fond, more slender again right at home, as we slightly.
The friendliness of the staff was simply fabulous, especially hard to name but a few.
We had a great relaxing stay and will definitely return soon. read more

If you don't mind, that the hotel is a bit isolated (need for domestic flight from male), the check-in and check-out accordingly extended, must on a vacation in Paradise pleased. To the own butler you get used to it quickly and learn to appreciate the advantages.
The island is very large for the Maldives, but with unusually few bungalows stocked. As a result, you will find peace and quiet. If you don't want to, will meet in his vacation almost no other guests. If parties, loud music and entertainment searches, is completely wrong.
All bungalows, the cheapest version (Funa-pavilion), are ... huge and very well equipped. There is a large tv, CD/DVD Player (with a large selection of media), wireless to iPod/iPhone docking station everything, the technician heart needed. The 5-star area in the usual facilities is, of course, also available.
The beaches are clean (daily cleaned), the water was crystal clear. Depending on the price range of the bungalows, the sandy beach is a bit bigger or smaller. The sweet water swimming pool was large and mostly unused. We can't comment on child care (were there without children). What we have seen, the 24-hour butler but perfect babysitter from, if one of the resorts not Kinderstation wants.
Whoever gladly dives on hideaway island is well served. The diving school is lead by a German and cared for. The quality of the material, as well as the service is great. Diving without guide is not allowed, the groups are very small (maximum four people). The prices are very high. The diving areas are all very close and within a few minutes by dhoni the diving school reachable. The house reef is great.
Whoever likes snorkeling also without diving fully at its expense. From about the beginning of December begins the Manta season. You will almost always at the diving (regularly while snorkeling) Mantas deal.
The only real downside of hideaway island are many mosquitos, the throughout the day and night aggressively bite. If you're bothered to respond allegergisch, hideaway island should be avoided. read more

Since we had already had in December ' 07 on island hideaway I will not go into all, more on new impressions and changes to comment.
Introdution: island hideaway is still a dream, privacy without end coupled with the most beautiful bath in the world, great service and good food.
Check In:
We traveled this time with Emirates, in other words stop in Dubai. Three hours to sit pretty Nathalie. Nonstop flight with LTU Nathalie but also. I would especially because of the leg with Emirates again and again, both in the A330-200, as well as in the B777-300ER this ... was great.
I would however next time in Dubai, the marhaba lounge (or similar Book), this is it for 42 USD per person, I hope this will lead to a more relaxed stay at the transit.
On the way back we spent a whole day in Dubai. We wanted to be in Dubai get there everyone we are '.
More than photos from the coach and the afternoon tea in the burj Al Arab and nice views of the Dubai skyline from the roof of the hotel was the evening didn't use it, it was not worthwhile themselves in our opinion but still.

Weather:
We were there at the end of September 09 there. The first four days were great, then three days with occasional rain very windy (2-3x a day 15 minutes, but then violently).
The rain is not the problem but the strong wind (~,40 kilometer/H) has read the book on the beach that made relaxing. In the restaurants were also the wind down the runway.
The weather in December 07 was clearly better, but for us, the period this year now, in Germany it marries in December not represented as climatically pleasant as September.

Service:
We had hoped for us as Sumimda Butler, this was according to the statement in Sri Lanka GM at home.
We had therefor Mohd (Mohamed), a male diver. A nice train the hotel management, I think, that the diver all come from nearby islands, they have a long journey and not as can be more often with their families. It shows, so we thought, also in its satisfaction and, therefore, the friendly personal service again.
You have Mohd but noted that he is still young and live with his other plans to be as Butler, he would like to open an internet cafe, studied in times and will make sure in the short or long term-something else.
Suminda was already a bit older, better trained and do him the passion.
Nevertheless, has also made Mohd a good job and if you deny his future plans already.
Some of the staff we detected (Francis, F&B manager) but some positions were in the two years. Changed, for example, the chef, has also tasted us very good even if at times we nothing with the 'high kitchen' start, are rather down-to-earth.
The German looking after guests Julia (Phillis, here in the Forum) has for July is no longer on the island, therefor is Elisabeth there.

Food:
Everything great as two years ago.
changes: not every day a new fruit basket, but you didn't landscape the one day. What wasn't't as presentable or overripe was away in time and single brought new fruit. Contrary to other info on our trip the fruit basket had not to be paid extra.
In general we can but a price increase of about 10% / confirm understand. Also at the Spa.
The manager cocktail offers this year more than 2007, at the time, there were a few small finger foods, this year we had both, as well as a small hot grill buffet. Then we were full and we saved money Gaafushi ☺
Honeymoon:
Please tell us, if you have been on our honeymoon. There are several free extras.
U. a dinner, lunch, 50 minutes Spa, champagne, etc.
Bungalows:
We could due to the weak occupancy (partly only seven out of 42 bungalows occupied) photos of all bungalow-make, the photos I will be opportunity to upload to Andreas. The best we enjoyed the JASMINE villas, we have decided to retreat a party:
Proximity to the reef channel (therefor No lagoon)
-Nice beach section (in contrast to the Funa pavilions)
If you don't know which bungalow for you, the best part is. Just ask ☺
Snorkeling:
We found there were a lot of less than in fish, 2007. In 2007, however, it has been said, that it is disproportionate, especially parrots fish, are. My highlight of this year was quite a big Eagle rays from the reef zuschwomm channel on me and then a moment or two ago and in depth to disappear.
The reef is nearby but, there were also fish there, small baby sharks, but that we knew already from last year.
The view was a bit cloudy, possibly because of the weather.

The island is far in the north of the Maldives. On the west side of the island had a very beautiful reef nearby. There are villas in different categories, two restaurants, a bar, a sports center, a large pool with a children's pool, a children's club, a great diving school, a jeweller, a small shop, a water sports centre and a wonderful Spa area. The island is very dense vegetation, which unfortunately causes a mosquito invasion. For us, the only negative during the two weeks vacation. Although the management tried everything, the invasion as low as possible, the beasts disturbed ... a bit, but that's just nature.
As has already been described, the complex lies far in the north, which makes a further, 50 minutes constant need good country flight. We have enjoyed the additional flight over the islands.
Trips with Maledivian were ideal arrival flights to the vote, so that from the male airport, we didn't really notice a lot. From the regional airport in maad-hoo Hani from the butler with the speedboat picked up and brought to the island.
We opted for a party retreat. We had four people sufficient room. Each Villa has a beautiful beach with almost daily sunset, the reef was 5-10m far away and one can continually snorkeling.
Nice is also a NESPRESSO coffee machine in the villa. Capsules, and water are constantly refilled and sufficient. Each Villa features a free internet connection (56K level), sufficient for those mail traffic. Mobile phone reception is good.
A trip to the local islands. We have visited the birthplace of our butlers. This trip was very authentic and impressive, since here almost no tourists lost. Is a Mege-contrast.
In any case only book with breakfast, which is much cheaper than half board and is flexible (service, in-house dining, etc.)
Otherwise, you can recommend this resort with children unlimited, especially the butler affectionately cared for the kids. After two weeks of our kids have lost a dear friend. read more
