Room size was adequate. Open bathroom we found it great. The chains before the so-called cabinet we weggebunden. Fridge was available and you get at the front desk always bottled water. Toilet and bath always cleaned well.

Main restaurant the food was very good. Who finds here nothing is even debt. All 3 theme restaurants booked, the cape verdische was the best. Shells ad nauseam. There no russians in the hotel were, was the atmosphere with the meals always relaxed. Prices in the shops very high. So nothing forgotten at home.

Staff very friendly and always made an effort. There was some spoke german, but with english one gets ahead very well. Room cleaning was great. We had no complaints, for the bacon on the hips, we ourselves are responsible, the food was so good.

Entertainment very good, but not pushy. Big pool, we didn't use it. Beach chairs by the pool very close together and the umbrellas shade unfortunately the bushes! There were already many sonnenbrandopfer. At the beach enough loungers available, also at noon still sufficient. Very lots of space between the chairs and above all shade. Beach chairs were partly very saggy, as the good food noticeable.

As already described, huge hotel with large area. Room big enough, open bathroom we found very good. Cleanliness good everywhere. In all-inclusive food till you drop ☺ Computers have we at home left, am finally on vacation! Guests were mixed, german, scandinavians, british, italian, french.

To the airport you could on foot go, but nevertheless no aircraft noise. Beach right under your nose. To sal rei with the taxi for 10 Euro is ok. Is however, as everywhere like running the gauntlet. We had a trip with Frank from Boa Vista-tours, was perfect. From Germany from booked, paid off.

We had a normal double room, the was completely enough, with a big shower, separate toilet. Everything was during our stay super clean.

The selection of great food, you could always find something. The breakfast was especially highlighted. On sunday, there was also smoked salmon and sparkling wine. There were various themes-restaurants, which we didn't make use of. The normal restaurant was of course very big, but there was always a space. At noon could one also at the pool restaurant always a small something eat.

The service was very. The room was always top clean. The waiters were friendly and always up for a joke. Here there are no faults.

The pool was very big with whirlpools and swim-up pool bar, but you could always baden, was not crowded. The entertainers gave their best and were always in a good mood.

Very big complex with 754 rooms, but very spacious. The hotel was fully booked with international guests from babies to retirees. Finns, german, Sweden, italian, french, spanish-it was everything available. Interesting architecture with much flair. The broadness the hotel there was no crowds, sunbeds at the pool and the beach were ample available.

The airport was only 5 minutes away, a stone's throw away. There was naturally no large infrastructure on the island, but that was known before. The beach was huge and you could walks. Unfortunately was baden in the sea while we were there not possible, always the red flag and it was also dangerous, because the sand was by the feet and if you didn't watch out, you in the water.

The rooms are worn, but clean. And there was a safe. Tv available with a few german channels, but not always perfect were to be received. Air conditioning and telephone also available. In the minibar was a bottle of water and you could be at the front desk bottles for refilling get.

There was a main restaurant and 3 specialty restaurants, all in buffet form. For the three restaurants you had to reserve, which was difficult. Because the people were like hyenas already at 8 o'clock in the morning the front desk and reserved. There you had to must already have luck around a table. It was then too blöd, on vacation extra risen around a table to reserve. In the hotel there were 24 hours always something to eat. The people led but as they would starve. Around half 7 hours made the büfettrestauran on, already 20 minutes before were the people already line. At the buffet it was then a slalomlauf! Constantly you had to anyone duck. Strange was only, that only always i evaded. The other had it apparently so hasty huge mountains on your plates to load... Of course the gastronomy nothing! The food was for buffet and for such lots of people really good! The only criticism on staff is, if you are not careful already times the plate too quickly was cleared ☺ There is therefore 5 suns.

The staff was always friendly, and always tried. Everything was very clean kept. From the room to the garden area. English is understood by almost everyone and a or other also a little german.

The pool was large, and there were plenty of beach chairs. But also, of course, many people reserving! Until 9 o'clock the towels partly from the staff cleared. Great! But then were again industriously towels spread. And what ideas, since the wind always the towels down yelling if none on it sat. The reservers outside of the hotel stones and the towels eingeschwert. Others have bands tied up. The end of the song, some the people half the day not emerged...

Nice hotel, for us to lots of people! As already often in the reviews is written the complex very big. If this bothers you, is always a matter of opinion. Many wrote, that the people in the hotel get lost. I can unfortunately not confirm. The hotel is very clean and the garden neat. At some places one knows but the utilization of the hotel. For example on the walls in the hallways schleifspuren the suitcases and so on. Wear it! While we were there, there were many british people and dutch, german only a few. It is a real all inclusive hotel. I have to say, that we otherwise no ail inclusive and not to do more! But who stands on it... When we go back at the airport in Munich were and the luggage claim were i heard by chance a conversation with. This man was also in the RIU Karamboa, and he was famous asked how the hotel was. He said: ' very nice area however the people fraßen as animals '! I just thought, could have been better ma it not express! It is already bad as some people behave. The hotel couldn't help it! For the complex and cleanliness i would have more suns. However because of of the guests and their behavior unfortunately, i can only maximally 3 give. As i already mentioned, everything was a matter of opinion.

The airport is really only 3 minutes away by taxi. And there really is no aircraft noise. To the complex rum is nothing. And in of the city sal rei (about 10 minutes away by taxi) there are not really something to see. Only poor people, which is what we took. The people in the hotel throw food rum! Waste relaxation at the buffets, and the locals have as good as nothing... The hotel is directly at the extensive beach, where you can go for a walk.

We had booked a suite and a big standard room can be, because the name alone does not make it. Under a suite let us something else for. The room has a centrally controlled air conditioning. Should these to be cool, you can only the fan running. It was missing a coffee/tea maker. A fridge is available, but not filled, is just no mini bar. Water you get free of charge at the front desk. The shower is not separately and is located in the bathtub. Beware! Danger of slipping. A separate toilet with bidet is available. The open wardrobe in the bedroom. That is the advantage to the standard rooms, which the closet in the bathroom is. The air in the rooms is' always somewhat damp, but felt the clothes not so damp at. You will find the safe in the closet. Once was the safe broken, but was repaired immediately. Stolen certainly nothing, because as soon as a other employees than the maid service the room enter must be, then only in the presence of the guest. Television offers good choice german channels : ARD, ZDF, satellite. 1, Kabel eins etc. The problem but it was obviously too weak aerial system, because the 1st was around 18:00 so 20:00 german time regularly collapsed. Probably to german guests all the news to see. The was probably already too much.

In the main restaurant 'santiago' there was breakfast and dinner. You could eat lunch in the pool restaurant some snacks. The buffet restaurant walking distance the people hurried back and forth; you need to be careful, not knocked down to. The volume floodwaters left no entertainment. We decided, the station atmosphere out of the way to go and prefer to eat outside, even if it sometimes windy and cool. At the table served only water. Other drinks you had to yourself tap. Self-service focus. We are not used to it, the wine, the way tasted good, single-handed on the tap to get. Only at the bars, you were, but also only at the bar, service. Even in the theme restaurants (asian, african, cape verde) dominates unfortunately self-service, so we have to a visit there waived. Even with reservation 3 days in advance we would not get more. The waiters were always very friendly and cleared the dirty dishes. The quantity of dishes was more than enough. We were astonished at the logistical achievement, since now really everything had to be imported. There was the food not always alright. The roast for example was very often with small bones back, so i prefer grilled or a paniertes eaten. The salad was always super fresh. For breakfast we watched unfortunately, that sausage and cheese often touched with his fingers or back into the display was, although each dish a pair of tongs bereitlag. An impossible behavior, since a breeding ground for germs is created. Here we are especially the Sweden and french misbehaving, and not as often mentioned, the british. Many were with their children (often infants) there. Was accordingly loud the atmosphere and the tables didn't look inviting. It did us the soul hurt, witness, such as foodstuffs and angenippte drinks disposed had, because too much on the plates heaped and it was left was. What think the employees there, with a monthly income of about 300, -€ have, on this decadence? Perhaps a small tip: less sausage dish up and often. Then catches the sausage and cheese in the heat not so fast to sweat.

The staff is very friendly, courteous and always make an effort, the guests right to make. Some coworkers speak beside the service language english and a little german. At the check-in we were a bit irritated. The following: we had from home a e-mail request to the hotel addressed regarding bathrobes and slippers in the room, since we had booked a suite. This e-mail has not been answered. At the check-in told us, that the mail very probably is made, and so far everything is regulated. Pleased with this statement, we went to our room and were real disappointed. The promised utensils we were looking in vain. So what was regulated? Nothing! On our complaint explained the front desk boss, that you do not have bathrobes and slippers included. Not even the spa might be desired things deploy, as they simply do not have. Very strange. We felt cheated, it boasts the Riu with 5 stars category; apology, but we other hotels the same category much better found. Also we missed a small attention as a sign, that the guest was welcome. We found the room absolutely bare before, as if the cleaning lady just left. Clean everything was, nevertheless the first impression was very disappointing. No flowers or fruit basket, not even a towel figure on the bed or a small mat on the table. No written welcome. Purely nothing at all; a shame. First 3 days later we received an invitation to champagne. We found that it was still as a small compensation. The hotel management should itself mark informing, which a 5 star hotel should have. The cleaning of the rooms was good, after gift of a small tip but better.

A big compliment to the animation team, the really from morning till the night hard have to work. Entertainment by the pool and beach, as Step, dance, Boccia, Volleyball, water aerobics included as well as to the programme, as well as the afternoon bingo, air rifle shooting etc. The preparation for the evening shows had to you but during the day also meetings. The shows were as well really good made. From and to we also foreign show and musical groups on. The pool is very big and 3-divided. The quality of the pool, in the the pool bar is, is heated and therefore more frequented, what a water fog by too much sunscreen leads. The two additional pools are not heated and were mostly used by the guests, the just undisturbed their wanted to swim. Very pleasant! On the tables in the pool bar area were some guests empty as full cups left. Great! How stupid must you be? Should the waiter about dorthinschwimmen, around the cups pots? Since you can only shake my head. My husband and a british the tables then cleared and the waiter has cordially thanked you. Unfortunately were in the pool some tiles broken, where a small young also quite deep a foot cut has. They should immediately repaired. The chairs at the pool were partly already very very worn out. May on occasion be renewed also times. Problems with reserved couches we had no. No matter what time of day it is, we always found a spot. The renova spa is small but nice. There is also a fitness room with a bit outdated, but mostly functional equipment. The spa features a ladies and a herrensauna, as well as a mixed jacuzzi, unfortunately only not as mentioned with bathrobes. All in all, you can have a quiet pleasant atmosphere enjoy. Prices for various applications, which we didn't use, are before the spa entrance from.

The RIU Karamboa is a architiktonisches masterpiece with 750 rooms. During full utilization seizes it 1080 guests. In the klubanlage everything is all-inclusive, except for various spa services such as massage. For cleanliness is very important here. The large garden plant is located in top condition, although water is scarce. The cleaning staff is the whole day over in the whole complex action. The guest structure is mixed, whereby german guests to our travel time clearly in the minority was. Most of the guests came from Sweden, Denmark, Finland, France, Italy and England.

The hotel is directly at the long, fine sandy beach. The transfer time from the airport to the hotel is just good 3 minutes. There is still no aircraft noise noticeable. Only, if the wind, through the constant north east passat always strong blows, time is inconvenient, you can the planes hear, but no way was disturbing though. Caution at the beach: the surf was very strong, especially the undercurrent, the rug from under the. It is very important, the flag to note. With yellow can the sea even for good swimmers but at least was very strenuous. This is just an open atlantic ocean. The beach invites for long, intense walks, for example south to old brickyard (duration approximately 45 minutes) or north to sal rei (duration about 1,5 hours), the capital Boa Vista's; it is sufficient umbrellas for 8., as the wind on the skin rather cool feels, but the sun mercilessly burns. We have knallige sunburn seen, so be careful! In the remaining is according to the travel agent a überfallgefahr on the way to sal rei, mostly in the afternoon, it is therefore recommendable, not alone and without large valuables achieves. With collective taxis ( aluguers ), at the hotel entrance for guests waiting, you can trips into other places do. A drive to sal rei for example for 10, -€. The Euro is practically the 2. currency the island, so a conversion in escudo is not necessary. There are shops in the hotel, but the goods are because of the high einfuhrszölle (55%) extremely expensive. In direct proximity of the hotel there are otherwise nothing else, but you know that, before you come here. The next shops, restaurants and discos are in sal rei. The rooms are practically equipped. There are enough drawers and clothes hangers available. The bathroom is an open room into the room with integrated. The toilet is of course independent and lockable. These we mention only, because we have read, that everything is open would be. Air conditioning, tv and telephone are also okay. Refrigerators are not any more like before with drinks stocked. At the front desk you can get as much bottled water, as you like, get (still or sparkling).

The food was excellent and varied. Also here we can reviews don't understand. For breakfast there are at least 8 different types of bread, 3-4 different kinds of coffee cake, bread rolls (daily even baked) several sorts of jam, yogurt, sausage, etc. Etc. Etc. Etc... You can not possibly list all. Lunch you could either in the main restaurant or in the pool restaurant. The pool restaurant is open and so it could happen, that the food from the buffet to the seat cools down, because a constant ventilation from the trade wind prevails. The trade wind is open year-round and at our time it was also very cold. But you have the option, the main restaurant was extremely impressive. Dinner then in the main restaurant instead of. We always hot food. Like the atmosphere with the food is can one perhaps introduce itself, if one considers, that 2000 guests during the 3 hours per meal time must be supplied. So you should perhaps also with understanding the staff to respond, if they are not all personally permanently the beverages submit.

The staff was basically friendly, attentive, helpful and always cheerful mood. Say we want to, that is the whole 3 weeks the case was without tip. Only on the last day we have the tips distributed. Therefore we do not understand the reviews, the some here on the staff letter. It was amazing to look at, as daily housekeeping, logistic and hygienic work for 2000 guests is provided. Here a tip: if you people with respect, respect and friendliness treated, the back.

By the pool there are some 900 beach chairs available. This fundamentally from every nationality (so not only german, as so often described) early reserved. The hotel gives before, until 9:00 a. m. reserved beach chairs to vacate, which but unfortunately not implemented. So one must seek to free chairs to get. As already mentioned the hotel during our stay was fully booked. The pool is very big and nicely laid out (pool bar available). Unfortunately it is not heated and while we were there freezing cold. We really have in any holiday so few people in the water saw there. The entertainment was not intrusive and decent. We the child care when Riu very impressed. She is very professional and imaginative. There was day care and a mini-disco every evening. But these great care has unfortunately its other side. We have daily observed, that an incredible variety of parents these to loot, properly and therefore irresponsible at the bar to stop and then the children in a denkwürdigem condition again have adopted.

The hotel complex is as described very big and nicely laid out. We had a room in the building farthest back, but not longer than 5-8 minutes to the main building or pool (beach) walk. The hotel while we were there from 21-12-2012 until 11-01-2013 constantly fully booked and adopted 2000 guests on. Unlike other reviews we can personally say, that one because of the size of the hotel definitely not from the way. The guest structure was from the ages were mixed, predominantly is this hotel to 70% of british. The british know, know, that they are the russians not lag behind, what volume, behavior, decency or level is concerned. At christmas and new year's eve was the complex nice but discreetly decorated. On two nights there was a giant gala menu of the finest quality. There Riu once again really and bent over backwards. New year's eve, the staff, the entertainment, as well as a live band (later dj) a unbelievably good humor and laughter all guests released. It was a great new year's eve party. And the best part is that it throughout all generations seen and felt.

Outside the hotel there was only desert and barren landscape. Great attractions, there were also not. Boa Vista formerly a colony of the spanish and british the prisoners spent have. An island tour is worthwhile but in any case, since the controversial countryside but very impressive. We have Germany from at Andrea and Frank (Boa Vista Tours) a inseltagestour booked. Absolutely reliable, great value for money and Frank is cool and a quite humorous type. The beach is very nice and clean. There are again circa 1000 beach chairs and sufficient umbrellas. Unfortunately, the waves due to the strong wind very high (3-4 metres high waves), which unfortunately to most serious accidents. During the 3 weeks was the flag again on green and 2 time on yellow. Otherwise was a baden in the sea because of the red flag not possible. We have ourselves with the locals and learn, that the waves and surf the whole year so should be. For us, this was the first holiday, the we didn't have a bathing spend could. Also slightly below the heading pool.

Our double room was a bit small, with a double bed (shared), 2 bedside tables, a chest of drawers, the also as the tv stand (flat screen tv, several german satellite channels) and check-in baggage counter already so full, that for the two wicker chairs with table only a narrow bit at the windows. The room has an individually adjustable air conditioning and a ceiling fan. The decoration is very nice, erdfarben and african style, with the 3-bin-curtains (curtain, verdunkelungsgardine and übergardine, you can the room completely screens, if you want. The bathroom is through an open türbogen. There is one with perlenvorhang seperate clothing, a free safe and a mini fridge under the large sink with lots of counter space and a large mirror-no make-up mirror. Also the shower was open, with a curtain, only the toilet had a door. There is a hair dryer, small soaps, shampoo and shower gel in portion packings and the usual shower cap. The furniture are already a bit dated and some have small faults in the surface, but everything was perfect clean and well maintained and was every day on the new thoroughly cleaned. The balconies are with 2 plastic chairs, a table and a clothes airer equipped. Also here everything was very clean kept. Unfortunately it was on the dark side and had no wind protection, so that we could hardly use.

There was a main restaurant, where the main mealtimes one felt because of the number of rough and can be noisy, a pool-/beach restaurant and 3 specialty restaurants (to cape verde, african and asian). In the main restaurant there in the morning, at noon and in the evening buffet, at the pool restaurant continental late riser breakfast, lunch snack and a smaller offer as in the main restaurant and in the evening there is the cape verdean spezialitäteen. The food was versatile and good in terms of taste, the choice very big. Who should be hot food, there is a microwave to heated of the food. But it was a shame, that the different dishes so sparse labeled were. I know in advance, either in the vegetable salad fish or meat hidden and what to mainadd in ragout is-whether it be because of inconsistencies or simply, because i sometimes it did not like. Except different half-board sauces, Tabasco and oil and essigsorten was nothing to nachwürzen the food ready. It was a bit of a shame, because it is (probably in the international guests) nothing special seasoned. For breakfast there is something for every taste from the full english breakfast, various bread and roll places, cheese, fish, salad, meats, sweet spreads, yogurts, quarkzubereitungen, cereals, fruit, cake places for the italian breakfast hearts... Tea you prepared itself, coffee comes in cans on the table or get cups from the machines, the juices are instant pulvergetränke, sunday sparkling wine and salmon. Lunch and evening buffet offer a wide choice of appetizers and main courses, some freshly grilled or fried, there is a wide variety of salads and a salad buffet with very many ingredients, fruit, cheese, some sorts, the freshly prepared seem to be and the usual international right tasty pastries. We have the cape verde and african buffet tried and found both good. It is a bit quieter in the restaurants as in the main restaurant to the main meal times and the selection was good. In cape verde restaurant at pans with glasdeckel, which from hygenic reasons in the open restaurant certainly makes sense, but unfortunately also very cumbersome with the juggling with hot plates (no napkins to touch!) Unfortunately also somewhat inconvenient. Bars at the beach and in of the lobby, in the lobby bar you could other coffee than at the self-service machines. Beer, soft drinks one taps partly even, cocktails one drinks better in other parts the world but the liquor and mixed drinks we found very good. In all areas was very clean, dishes and empty glasses will quickly cleared and the tables occasionally wiped in the bar.

Check-in and check-out was quick and easy. There was a map with directions, the luggages were to the room brought. The cleaning of the rooms was great, it was thoroughly cleaned and wiped. Cleaned between 8 and 16 o'clock, time was the room after breakfast already ready, once only in the afternoon - with room change was the rooms, the changed should, priority. The staff in all areas was very friendly, helpful and courteous, one everywhere and always said hello. At the front desk we have a lady with german met, otherwise you everywhere with english well-unless you the official language portuguese would like to learn, because you are in a foreign country as a guest. Additional services, such as child care, kids club or doctor service there is, we have but we didn't make use of it and you can't judge.

The entertainment is unobtrusive and during the day offers different employment possibilities of petanque on shooting, water aerobics to dance classes and bingo. There are tennis courts and at the beach you can kitesurfing, in the pool free diving was offered. The entertainment team offers very good shows, later opens the karaoke bar and the disco. At the pool and beach there were many beach chairs and in the recepetion umbrellas and shade, is good the wind by hedges at the pool and the beach. Boa Vista is a meager island and mainly offers beaches, sand, stone and gravel. We found it very charming. The transfer from the airport took just 5 minutes, but because of the low clears and the wind conditions we never hear aircraft noise. The machines in landing were over the sea to see, but not to hear. The hotel lies directly at a nice, wide beach with soft white sand. Who likes, can go for long walks on the beach or at the beach along after sal rei hiking. The takes but rather for a long time and you should probably be one of the taxis, the at the hotel wait. We had a nice double room in a normal size with an open bathroom. The toilet with a door shut. I did open bathroom didn't bother us. I think if i'm staying with someone the room parts then it is also no foreign and the shower there was a curtain. The tendious topic of the wardrobe. He is manageable and has no doors, but a kügelchenvorhang so like in Afrika usual. I also didn't bother us.

This issue get the scabies when i hear the food this is not well or inedible! The food here is great, very delicious! It is clear that there were no eggs come from free-ranging chickens get, no tomatoes from the hotelplantage and no Schnitzel from the private hotelschwein. The food here on cape verde are all imported that means good german here there is nothing! Here there were no tomatenplantagen, because it here too were dry. And there is again and again so nazzer it does not detect where you actually are. This hotel almost 1000 guests and as it was at meal times stop sometimes louder in the restaurant. Is also completely normal.

The service here in this hotel i give 6 stars, since we always friendly and accommodating were treated. No matter when, no matter where. We had no complaints, it was everything in the best order. The foreign languages... It is even speak german. With english one comes also progressing and if it not at all with hands and feet and a smile and already it worked! The please and thank you is of us tourists not to be missed. Exactly like with the tip. Worries me always especially when i read the tip is not necessary! It is! It is necessary, because the employees werklen the whole day only for us tourists to be just right. Think times about that.

I have the entertainment not used but i can say that what is if you have desire in addition. At the beach free pedal boats and kayaks. But honestly rarely do because the waves are so high. The sunbeds at the pool and the beach should have been repaired.

On number of rooms and size this hotel has already often said, i should like to ensure that not at all stop. We had a double room with a sea view. It was clean and every day thoroughly cleaned. However, i have not to lack, and therefore probably no found. I have on vacation really better to do than me hours to employ a dust balls or to find a hair. If someone from the european area the kapverden fly must realize itself before that not everything is like at home, not in a Riu hotel. We stayed there for new year's and the audience was very mixed. French, british, portuguese, german, dutch. From the toddler to the older generation everything was represented.

The distance to the airport is about 3 kilometer. but you can hear the airplanes could hardly. They did not disturb me. The hotel is directly at the beach, there, there are beautiful dunes for walking go - magnificent! And no we were not attacked! The hotel is in the middle of nowhere so if you want activities, shopping and party is here on en kapverden totally in the wrong place. We have been the 3 time the kapverden (2 time on the island sal) and fiegen gladly anytime again %blank%. People it not only for luxury, food and spaßbereitung. You would also meet in the country you holiday. The kapverdier are poor, but with so much zest for life on create as could the one or the other times a disk off.
