A beautiful, clean, good well-maintained hotel with beautiful hosts. All of the staff were very accommodating and helpful. Room simply, but efficiently furnished, very clean. Food tasted good and was also in the best way served. read more

The hotel is very friendly and has a good quality standard. Al kind of people can mix without disturbing each other. When we visited they was a group of USA students in summer brake and we hardly noticed.
For a family with young children it is perfect. The different playrooms accommodate children from baby to 12 years old. Thanks to the children's program who would even take our 1 year old, we where able to eat as a couple whiteout hurrying.
The environment is beautiful and easily accessible through cable car. We spend 10 days and didn't get bored.
Last ... but not least: compliments to the staff who is friendly, organized and always making us feel welcome and at home. read more

The owners Peter and Susanne K. provided a very warm welcome and all staff provided excellent service at this hotel. The hotel provided opportunities for evening entertainment and daytime exploration of the local area. The staff provided an excellent ski shuttle service to local lifts. It was advantageous for us to be able to travel from the UK to within a few minutes of the hotel. read more

The hosts, Susanne and Peter K., are exceptionally friendly and helpful. They always pick us up at the train station, and take us to and fro the ski lifts. They have fun things going on in the hotel for families,kk but the adults in the crowd (that's us) also are looked after and feel very pampered. We particularly enjuoyed the evening that they took us up the mountain to have dinner at a ski hut. read more

Our stay in Hotel Edelweiss was a pleasure! We had our 9 month old baby with us and this hotel is very child friendly as they have some play rooms exclusively for the kids and a lot is organized for them.
In addition, the personnel is very friendly, they speak a lot of languages and are always willing to help. For wintersport holidays, this is a perfect location: although the hotel is some distance away from the ski lifts, they have a shuttle services every 15 minutes which brings you to the lifts, so this is perfect.

The superior double room the name does not do it justice. They are too small. In the bathroom no soap and cleaning cloths (Kleenex) completely. The heating was at the check-in could not be turned on, was the room very cold... The TV was tiny (but that was really irrelevant). The staff were friendly and the hotel is very suitable for families with small children. read more

Old, very clairaudient (one hears the neighbor schnarcheln...) house. Room with carpet on soil. TV extremely small and poor quality. Cracks in the walls partly. Jacuzzi on the terrace available -not used. Breakfast was good.

A completely unpretentious hotel which delivered the highest standards of Swiss hospitality. We were made so welcome and every single staff member was delightful. The lounge and bar area were very comfortable - we enjoyed sitting by the fire having a drink and playing cards, chatting with Suzanne and Peter the hotel owners and the other staff who work tirelessly to make sure all the guests are looked after. Everything was made easy for families - children's menu in the restaurant available for self service so they could eat when they wanted to while we had our meal. There was ... a children's club which we didn't use but it looked as though they were having lots of fun. All the staff speak several languages fluently so it was great to hear the variety of languages going on. Our children enjoyed the games room with the X Box and table football which meant we could have quiet time reading etc as well as family time together. And one last thing - the hotel's own ski shuttle bus which takes you to and from the lifts means that life really is straight forward and you can enjoy the skiing without the hassle of carrying skis and finding your way to the lifts. read more

I about hundred next nächtigenden per year occupation in different places. The hotel edelweiss in Engelberg is best in the last few years, I have visited Hotel. The competence of the staff in the front desk clerk, the boss of the house, the service in the restaurant and the Chef were very accommodating finally and friendly and were seriously interested in my well-being. I can only recommend the hotel. Here the price and performance, both for the night, as well as in the restaurant. read more

Nice quiet place, good setting and excellent view from the hotel, friendly helpfull staff. The owner took special care to receive us at midnight at the railway station. The building has some history attached to it, it gives some feelings and ideas of local living especially past era atmosphere. read more

The hotel still has many Jugendstil characteristics in the interior. Friendly and hospitable staff. Beautifull view on the surrounding mountains. The children (3 and 7 years old) had many facillities to play (both inside and outside) and the "nanny" was also active inviting the children to come play. Hotel Edelweiss is active organising activities for her guests. We find the staff competent in advising trips in the surrounding area. When we asked for a specific trail and the fact that we have a dog and a 3-year old the advise we received was accurate.
For families with children this is ... most definitely a hotel we would recommend. read more

This hotel was incredibly family friendly. Our children, aged 1, 5 and 7, were all well catered for in terms of food, entertainment and welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and they all had a really great time. This allowed us to relax and enjoy ourselves as well! Although the hotel is laocted a way from the ski lifts, the hotel ran a regular mini bus service which took us door-to-door. They also 'bused' my mother about after she had a fall and again nothing was too much trouble. You couldn't wish for better hosts and staff at the hotel ..., who at all times were friendly, helpful and professional. Their English was also exceptionally good! read more

This was the best experience on holiday i've ever had! I felt so welcomed and taken care of. They knew me by name and helped me with anything i needed (even if I hadn't asked yet!). One day the owner offered to make me lunch because I was hurt skiing and back early. Not many places care that much about each of their customers...Hotel Edelweiss definitely does!! I will go back as soon as I can. read more

This hotel is a little piece of heaven where you are looked after as if you were a member of the family. From the very early morning to late evening you are showered with the sort of service that sadly has disappeared from most hotels these days. This just leaves you feeling totally refreshed and fully recharged at the end of your stay.
the surrounding area allows you to enter the world of the angel and enjoy a real wintersports holiday with the support of the hotel staff from cream for those aching muscles to hotel owners taking time to ... ski with the guests.
Finally when the owners dine with you the picture is complete. ITS GREAT. read more
