We stayed at this small bed & breakfast a bit out of la gaulette for 3 weeks (4 people). It's a very convenient location for the beaches of Le Morne if you go there for wind or kite surfing. If not, it's child of in the middle of nowhere. The owners are a German-mauritian couple, and the b&b is based in a nice tropical garden setting.
Unfortunately, that's all for the plus side. There are better b & bs just next door for the same or less money. read more

The bed & breakfast la Reine creole is a wonderful accommodation for single travelers, the Mauritius really want to get to know. The close contact with the hosts Corinne and Marc are set not only automatically many tips for excursions, but also an interesting insight into the life of Mauritius. Especially recommended are the creole dishes from Corinne, as well as barbecue evenings the marc. Helpful is in each case rental car on site (Marc is reference with great pleasure helping), so that you do not rely on the bus is around to the beautiful beaches or the destinations to ... arrive. read more

This bed & breakfast is wonderful for all, who look for the anonymous standard tourism, but the service in nothing reputed. As a those who travel alone I felt very well cared for, because again and again the possibility has shown, with the owners of the country and people talking or just relax in one of the various lounges to chill out. And it is really a pleasure it was because of the variety of plants and a small frog singing in the rain. Since I had no car, I from which to explore the surrounding area can rent a ... bike, which is hardly said, I was already running. All in all a gem of a place, that I would recommend and already have ☺ read more

Hello Friends Travel
During our holidays start at the guesthouse la Reine creole, we have the following experience:
beautiful, well-kept house
very good Indian cuisine
Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was unpleasant and not to be recommended. The location is as already described inconvenient and far from beaches and sights away. Rent a car or a motorbike is a must. Furthermore, the owner is inaccessible and a little disconcerting. Everything and I mean everything costs extra charge. If the wrong switches in the room is actuated (alarm) Umkosten of 50 euros. The additional costs were created, which are not ... clear. Our recommendation after two weeks in Mauritius: searches for alternative.

La Reine creole is the smart House, nestled in a small tropical garden. The interior of the building has an exotic ambience and stylish, with much attention to detail decorated.
the rooms are spacious and convenient equipped, the beds comfortable and offer a relaxing sleep. General everything is kept very clean and the rooms daily cleaned.
The owner of the B and B's were very friendly and helpful, also be taken into account individual needs. The advice about trips, hikes and other activities is efficient and informative; the owner knows the island probably better as most foreign language. The location ... of the hotel is a central starting point for excursions in the nature, it is not far to the black River National park, quite a lot of water falls are located in the immediate vicinity, and the road along the south coast is surrounded by beautiful and mostly deserted beaches and bays. A drivable Vehicle, you should keep however already have in its scope if you do not want to be constrained. A drive sufficient Buses, but not always to the interesting points and unfortunately only till about 19:00 o'clock. But that obviously applies to the whole island!
My Conclusion: Successful holiday, we will be back! read more

In accordance with the category B&B have the LaReine creole almost exclusively the nightly accommodation for our exploring across the island used. There is not much, that you can reach on foot. But with drivable Vehicle we have every day 1-2 different restaurants visited, great beaches nearby visited and nearby there are small shops that offer everything. If you are not in a fragmented luxury resort located, but want to discover the island authentic, with the choice of this property nothing go wrong. The hosts Corinne & Marc is under a high personal use at any time to attend of ... the guests hard. We have a great time we felt very comfortable.
At the rating I deliberately on the list of details, these are sufficiently in other reviews available and paint a very clear picture. The overly negative I can Einzelmeinungen at the best will understand, we have never experienced such unpleasant guests with the hosts are friendly handled. (Maybe there should be a review portal for guests ☺ read more

We have a few days in La Reine creole fantastic spent. The beautiful house by the friendly and courteous hosts built! Is located in the heart of a wonderful laid out Garden quiet, but still convenient for exploring the really beautiful area. The furnishing it is tastefully, in the comfortable beds we slept excellent. The view from the rooms to the outside terraces of the Sea and the mountains is one-time. The excellent advice on TRIPs and restaurant recommendations made by the owner that contributed to this, that these days for us a real experience were. With the rental car ... it was no problem to explore the surrounding area. Since it was our first stay on Mauritius was, we had, because we wanted to explore the whole island, then more days in the north and east of Mauritius spent. The beaches in the South were so with the best we had on our trip met have. The optically beautiful bays in the North also we were too full, the flat hinterland with the sugar cane fields rather boring. If you are on a Mediterranean feeling is, it is probably okay-we like it rather a bit empty. Very impressive were the varied Possibilities for excursions in the South. We would have liked to see more of the same, this time with all the time therefor not good enough. To The shop is also a day trip grand Baie, where you in a small area of our experience the best selection of shops on the island. The waterfront in Caudan Port Louis we were (We are also aware of the waterfront in Cape Town) was a bit disappointed.
You should definitely visit but also Pampermousse gardens. In the north of the island is a no significant golf courses. However, in the South. The places le paradise, minutes from la Reine creole and golf du chateau, about 15-20 minutes away by car. In retrospect, our stay la Reine creole and in the wonderful South of Mauritius clearly too short and we would love to return here again. read more

First you have to be clear, there is talk of a B&B and not a five stars Hotel with private beach, pool, Spa etc. if you want to, you must book one of the many and per night 8a 10-fold the pay. It was' only ' a great well run B&B and mostly for sleeping and breakfast thought. As a starting point for exploration of the South, the middle and the west of the island, this is great location, as well as the atmosphere in the hotel is top. We stayed at a week five stars (Grand Mauritian) hotel for ... a further five nights spent and had a great time. Above all, because it is contrary to the hotel personally of the season. Familiar with the host and with the very nice roommates we have done a lot in common. To explore the island you should rent a driver or even an engine. The bus takes you from the pure creole not everywhere, or need good nerves. We had a rental car, there is on the island for 30 Euros per day including all insurance and kilometer. My previous speaker it seems to be recorded and misconceptions arrived. Unfortunately he is doing this to unfair way blew and blaming the other. I would like with my comment and that I hope to have achieved. Have fun in Mauritius in pure creole read more
