Centara has since our first stay strongly deterioated. There were no waterfalls and hardly strömungspumpmen in lazyriver. The pool towels were full of stains and holes. Also the bed linen was always spotted. The staff is inattentive and rude. read more

Sure one of the best hotels on karon beach. Centara grand is at the start the karon bay on a slope in a well-kept large area. Centara grand is one of the few hotels not through the street from karon beach are. On the approximately 15 minute walk on foot after karon (corner). 400 Bath it costs with the tuk tuk to patong. (reprobated tuk tuk mafia). From the hotel there is a free shuttle to paton at 14 o'clock and 17 hours and unique at 17:30 o'clock back. Beach was clean, sea was lovely. Only the sewage canal ... next to the hotel at the beach clouds something the bathing fun. Although the hotel is rather large, we could always and everywhere without trouble place, be it for breakfast or at the loungers at the beach. I would like to highlight, that the beach chairs on the beach (in front of the centara) belong and not as usual on karon beach usual had to be additionally paid. The room was attractive and comfortable. I had a small pool on the terrace from which you the sea could see. (pool suite). Unfortunately my russian neighbors a bit noisy, so that i on the terrace everything. (a shame). The hotel had to my time also about 70% russian guests. What now almost everywhere on phuket is the case. However, the least negative. Chinese are partly worse ☺
The food was very good. Breakfast buffet was good and diverse, evening different themed buffets in the main restaurant. The service is very good, all are very pleasant and it was full of staff. Room was always cleaned properly. Dripping air conditioning system was quickly repaired. Room was very attractive and comfortable. Bed was a bit hard, but comfortable. Safe, mini bar, everything was there. The pool suites are not much larger than the standard rooms. Only the terrace with a small pool is bigger.
There is a main pool with two jacuzzis, a small children's swimming pool, a quiet pool (above near lobby located), and a lazy river pool, in which a riesenreifen the artificial river hinuntertreiben can, there have one also various slides.
Very suitable for families. Tip: to the extortionate prices of the tuk tuk to be missed, you should rent a scooter. (circa 250 Bath/ day ), because the hotel but is a bit isolated and you is very flexible. Pricewise is phuket generally much more expensive. Also, the january very busy. I would therefore perhaps during the next Thailand holiday in january another region select. In the low season but safe an option.

This 5 star hotel pleased us and exceeded our expectations. The architecture is wonderful, the service and the ambience perfect.
We had a fantastic Ocean View spa room with a hot tub on the balcony and a fantastic view over the bay of karon. Centara grand is a quiet oasis-absolutely perfect for relaxing.
With the taxi or small trains one is fast in karon or patong, if you are looking for.
Breakfast was a dream. Every day a mix between warm and cold dishes. We often sat until 11 o'clock in the on the terrace ( with a view of ... the sea) and enjoyed the breakfast.
We were after the centara Grand Hotel in 3 other hotels in Thailand, but it could unfortunately none of the hotels close to compete, although it was 4 or 5 star hotels.
We are thankful thanks to the whole team of the hotel for wonderful days on phuket! read more

Garden and pool area fantastic developed. Great value from the architect.
There is approximately 300 rooms but by the generous building method, it is not at all crowded.
For couples without children also well suitably. There is a erwachsenpool on the hill right after the front desk, where children no entry have. read more

Very nice area something from the center from karon beach. On foot one arrives however problem-free within 10 minutes the center from karon beach and with a tuk tuk for 300 Bath in the nearby shopping center of patong.
The breakfast buffet leaves no wishes desired and also for vegetarians enough choice. The restaurant is in comparison to the local restaurants of course a lot more expensive, but nevertheless delicious.
Unfortunately no (free) wireless internet in the room, but it has plenty of hotspots. read more

The hotel lies at the end of karon beach and is the only thing with direct access to the beach. It is however primarily for families with children. Peace searching do a other beach/ other hotel search. The atmosphere in the hotel is characterised by the very high number of Russian guests, on the you almost without exception adjusted. Although there is a great pool area there and the complex very well maintained, was stay for us rather disappointing, in particular therefore, because it is taking the breakfast in the restaurant Cove, such as in a 'sufficient' appeared. hotel is a bit off the beaten track from the next village, on foot at the beach in about 20 minutes to reach. The hotel has a direct access to the beach. The usable beach section with hotel-own couches is but only about 50 meters, the rest is a public beach. The complex is divided into individual houses with about 4 floors, all of which together are connected. Bookable was an American breakfast which rich was. The guests were mostly English or also russischsprechend, German was unfortunately in the minority. read more

In our tour we had booked this hotel as beach hotel. Despite newer year of construction a lot' shabby'. We had a deluxe pool suite with a private pool. This was very refreshing. The other the pool was very warm. No chairs on the beach. This had to you with the local gentlemen pay. Free-range Dogs at the beach. We had a extra bed booked. Unfortunately, there was no TUI tour operator reachable (Easter). The front desk the calculated extra bed again. Very difficult Settlement in Germany with TUI. W--not as advertised in the rooms available. Response from TUI' ... you want vacation rather than work '. In the lounge, Internet free, but only for overnight accommodation in the deluxe pool suite freely accessible. Breakfast very varied. Hotel is located in a very secluded. We are always with the small trains risks. If you go out of the hotel, then to the right. In about 10 minutes with the small trains in a strip of lots of different restaurants. Action on the small trains drive has partly a saving submitted by 50% read more

A hotel which leaves nothing to be desired. The size of the rooms with open large bathroom (with sliding doors off) the balcony with dreamlike view of the see-the quiet location-just a dream. We travel since 20 years after Phuket this was by far the best hotel. Great pool area without sunbed rush-direct location by the sea-if you don't in the hotel food, has at the beach the possibility-fails to the center karon on foot 10 minutes of this hotel you can most warmly recommend! read more
