For a short stay Quite reasonable. We were always friendly welcomed and treated. Also was always willingness to help to see. Breakfast is for a longer stay not diverse enough. Since daily Asian groups changed and then jointly for breakfast came, it was in the breakfast room sometimes too rough. The noise from the street before the main building ( street leads right on the hotel along) bothered us a bit. At night it was however much quiet. read more

Vacation from the first second. I felt very good. Thanks to the very good atmosphere I could my achievements in a sports event ' sneezing, running ' improve.
Front desk perfect, breakfast perfect, staff very friendly and accommodating.
Rooms such as last year very satisfied.
The view without obstacles to the small Scheidegg and legendary Eiger incomparable.
Many thanks signed by. Karl R. read more

The entrance area of the hotel and the restaurant are neat and the lady at the front desk friendly. The pictures the room in the internet correspond however not the, what we got. In my opinion is TRUE the value for money in this hotel not (at least so far our room is concerned). Our room was and /-a chamber to put (attic, small skylights, lottrige door, bad verlegter carpet (including was still the old carpet to see), which price was not worth, since our room just a sink, but no own shower and no toilet had. The shower (a ... only!) was on the bottom floor. The bed was pretty the bed linen clean. Enjoyable was also, that bathrobes available stood, which we used could, in order to shower on the lower floor to go. The dinner was quite simple and rather tight (i. E. After a day skiing could be more stomach). The staff in the restaurant was nothing special competent and has relatively bad German spoken/ understood. The breakfast buffet was OK. read more

We enjoyed the friendly house really good. The breakfast buffet is very delicious,
The staff nice. Many thanks to Christine, the US always helpfully to the side confessed.
But also all other staff the house always a smile, we felt very much at ease.
The dinner was not always according to our taste, for us it could have been better be spiced can.
But had an advantage, when light fare we have no relative weight
The rooms are not large, but cozy. The location is very good. One has it not far to the ski bus stop and the ski ... slopes, but also a stroll in the evening by Grindelwald is nice.
The panorama with Eiger, monk and Virgin is uniquely beautiful.
Tip: definitely the jungfraujoch drive, the ice Palace is fantastic. The trip has its price, but it is well worth it. Also, a day trip to the schilthorn is worthwhile. The revolving restaurant Piz Gloria should be experienced, as well as the black Slope from restaurant. read more

Our stay in the guest house of the virgin lodge was a great holiday. Sleep keep the windows open, the wonderful views of the Eiger and the male, sit in the evening on the balcony and in the light of the Eiger see, as well as the good food for breakfast. And for departure there was still a bottle of wine. For each. We'll be back, but with half board. read more

A very nice hotel, centrally located. From there you easy to get everywhere. A room with a view of the Eiger mountain view was well worth it. A great view. The decor of the rooms is not extravagance, but urigige comfortable atmosphere. The check-in and check-out was quick and uncomplicated. The staff was always friendly and courteous. In short: the next Grindel forest trip we would stay here again in the hotel Jungfrau lodge a room. read more

Why we left Hotel Jungfrau Lodge archived

The rooms in hotel Crystal, which is part of Jungfrau Lodge, were clean and quite spacious, but worn down - i.e. the hotel was built in the 60's and the only new refurbishment was the carpet. The rest was simply 1960's, including the bathroom, where it was not possible to have a shower standing up in an undersized bathtub. The balcony had a nice view of the mountains, but there was no minibar in the room. The worst was the fact, that the hotel was a transit hotel for Asian customers who arrived in buses late at night (we ... heard the slamming of elevator door for hours) and left early in the morning. My husband was even asked to walk to the 4th floor because the suitcases had to be loaded in a very small elevator! The last drop was the attitude of personnel in the breakfast room: Upon our arrival, there were croissants available, but not on any other following day. When I inquired, I was told that the croissants were available only on Monday and Saturday - in a 3 star hotel??!! We were going to stay five nights, but were so fed up after three nights at this hotel, that we booked out and stayed in another hotel, 2star but definitely of better quality. I would never return to this hotel, neither would I recommend it to anybody. read more
