Only place to stay in Mesa Verde NP. With two stars and more appropriate to a parliament than simply described, so what do people do? What we can do for two nights found: great location, different residential building, all rooms with balcony in green surroundings, separate front desk building with a restaurant, further building with a self-service restaurant and shops. Cabins, we didn't see any, you have to go somewhere be the former. Our standard room was absolutely sufficient, rustic, with everything, which one needs, refrigerator, coffee maker, sink, ironing board etc. the balcony did we do after the excursions ... and with wonderful weather extensively used. Only the tiny shower bath with toilet you could forget, very unpleasant, as unsatisfactory, although everything was clean. Self-restaurant was okay. The Mesa Verde NP was a highlight of our trip and is on its way one-time with the cliff Dwellings Anasazi -Indian the. Furthermore, scenic wonderful with lots of animals. Since the ride alone from the national park-entrance to the circular routes with the rock apartments 25 kilometer is, for us, worth only this property, especially the park is huge. The journey from the next town Cortez almost 40 kilometer, so it is unnecessary and, in the evening 'just' to go out to eat! read more

The location is in the park, next to the good restaurant, the strength of the lodge. The 4ER to 10er units arranged in rooms are located in the main building houses in the vicinity. Related to the different rooms. Some are equipped with air conditioning, others do not. We, as a one-night " , " stay, got one without AC, therefor with dirty balcony furniture and broken screens on the windows. The door was not verriegelbar. read more

Beautiful lodge located on the premises with a very attractive buildings distributed big restaurant with friendly service and a relatively small menu with unclear pricing. The led in our case to inconsistencies in the payment, but the compromise the seated to a large extent by the residual. read more

The hotel is in the middle of the Mesa Verde NP. The rooms are located in buildings, the a great view of the surrounding areas. Unfortunately have the rooms the best time behind itself- the furnishing is rustic. The leisure activity options were pretty good. In the room there was no TV and no air conditioning, therefor but a heating-which we required, as it is on the next morning was very cold (0 °C and light snow)
in the hotel there is a restaurant. Which we didn't use it. Dinner and breakfast we stayed at the terrace cafe. read more

Hotel is a bit simple laid out, but perfectly adequate for an overnight stay in the middle of the NP. Is also the only, otherwise the next is located in Cortez. One would we at the start of our small statements Farview Lodge at the Mesa Verde National Park. all the negative on the internet incurred opinions with very mixed feelings visit the Lodge left, we can confirm in smallest way. Now they surely more than the appearance of the individual building complexes argue, where the individual rooms, in the scenery are they didn't bother. To be fair we must say, we had a better "with KIVA" room type booked the equipment in their standard room is different. Our experience relates so exclusively on the category "with KIVA" which we recommend ... with good conscience. The pictures attached give an insight into the ambience. We had a room with 2 queen-size beds. The rooms were air conditioned. Should Negativmeinungen rely on the lack of a TV, so did the TV junkies my understanding, surrounded by nature being fond tourist on this piece of furniture certainly for the duration of his stay without. The rooms are cozy and equipped according to the character of the area. A few sqm more would be welcome, for one night we arranged with the size of the rooms (. Three of us). The room including the bathroom made a very clean and neat impression. All for the United States typical equipment such (. Except for TV) were available (iron & ironing board; coffeemaker; hairdryers…). The view from the Fascinating small terrace to our room had just returned early in the morning was great to enjoy the peace and long. With a car to the door of his room ancestors. A 3/4 day is a must if you want to see the three main attractions (see above). A final note: If you Saisonmonaten in the summer in the Far view lodge, want to stay at a time when the whole world on the road (…Mesa Verde is one of the most popular NP), would make a early booking over one of the famous German tour operators and internet. arriving by Blindly may mean, no room for the night in the lodge. read more

The lodge is right in the middle of the NP. It will save you long journeys to the Cliff Dwellings, Visitor Center for tickets in the immediate vicinity. The accommodation is relatively plain, but adequate. Each room has a balcony. Gastronomy nearby, once the highest order and Höherpreisig, even easier, but tasty. Other possibilities it near the museum (20 minutes drive). The Park has for drivers - without a car you have no chance/no fuel, next possibility of Campingplatzarm entrance of the park. No shuttle the largest part of the parks. read more
