We stayed with two persons for four nights from 28-11-2012 until 2-12-2012 in new york Radisson 'the lexington '. Unfortunately we had to find out, that our room extremely small (which wasn't so bad ) but unfortunately also very dirty. The carpet was with small rocks covered and in the corners were dirt and threads of clothes. In the bathroom were hair on the floor and in the shower/ bath tub.
The used shower gel-, shampoo & seifepackungen after the cleaning of the rooms on any day refilled. The odor in the room was accordingly. It smelled during the day ... as at night after mildew. Without continuing air was despite air conditioning nothing to do. After the room service daily to clean in the room was, changed from the existing cleanliness and the state nothing.
The bed was not at all for two people made for. It was only 1,20 meters wide, with only a duvet, and it was impossible, to 2 in this bed to sleep.
On request at the front desk, if not a different room with larger bed would be free, we were told, that the hotel booked and nothing to do. We could the next morning between seven and nine hours ask. We asked for, but it was loud statement the front desk no upgrades possible. Because of the small bed we asked at the front desk after a 2. blanket. The ceiling came three hours later by room service and was with stains covered. It was disgusting that ceiling to use and we decided, but with only a blanket to sleep, since this is the better alternative was. On the next day we asked at the front desk after a new blanket.
This was again exactly dirty and not usable. Now positive: the hotel is in a very good location. All sights are on foot slightly and easy to reach. Also the metro is around the corner. The staff are very friendly, willing to help and courteous. In short: during the next new yorkbesuch we would another hotel choose. read more

Who only for staying the night a reasonably priced, centrally located hotel need, is in good hands. Safe and TV are the only facilities in the small, but clean rooms. Sleep and showers are OK, longer stay in the room are not recommendable.

All of the location, Time Square, Central Park, central station and 5. avenue, in direct near periphery two kilometer.
Breakfast american style, was well arranged, coffee as much as you want, when you want to be you were full too few. Beautiful lobby with nice bar. Rooms are as usual in New York not in ordergrund for 250 American Dollar a night in the double room with breakfast you expect a bit more. Actually just suitable for those on a city break, bathroom clean but not spacious, cleaning tidy! read more

Without asking we were in a smoker's room put. The walls yellow, in the bathroom the wallpaper was peeling off the walls down... An absolute shocker the rooms are tiny and air conditioning endlessly noisy. In the bathroom came the cleaner of the ceiling and it smelled. If you're really bad in the NY vacation start wants then check-in there! read more

The lexington is really a bit outdated already, but the comfort and the location a lot more than made up for it. We had a junior suite in one of the higher floors with views of the river and two bathrooms. In spite of that appear the rooms relatively small, but in Manhattan definitely not is unusual. We would definitely go again. read more

Clean hotel ( no bedbugs) in a great location to the major attractions in midtown (central station, 5th avenue, Rockefeller center: 500 meters, ESB 15 minutes, UN 15 minutes). Traffic connections very good. The subway is also within walking distance in the short term, to reach. Around the hotel several delis, restaurants, Pizzerias etc. Around the food you need not to worry. The hotel is in a safe area in which you night around 3 without problem stroll.
Only -small disadvantage: noise control in the hotel. The walls are very thin and some the rooms with connecting doors to the ... neighboring rooms are equipped. Recommendation: ear plugs, if you're not the lovemaking its neighbors received to. read more

The Pros: the hotel lies very convenient and centrally located, you can on foot many destinations in Manhattan. The station isn't far, if you from the airport with the train want to drive, one must in the metro not change, but drives simply with line E from Jamaica. Cons: the standard room is small (admittedly normal in NY ), the bathroom is however quite small, the furnishings corresponds to definitely not the German standard. There is also hardly possibilities to counter for culture bag etc., as a couple it becomes close. Really clean we found it not, rather superficially cleaned. ... Our personal impression: in relation to the rooms rather no four star hotel, is however for new York proportions but still quite cheap. If one not so much pay would, it is okay. read more

This hotel i can recommend it to anyone, the New York want to see. It is not once 5 minutes on foot to the metro station and can even comfortable to Grand Central Station walking. You can also 5. avenue easy to reach on foot (guess it is good 20 minutes). The hotel has so a great location and the rooms are cozily furnished. The rooms were cleaned daily and the towels were changed. The staff are friendly and tried hard. You can book breakfast, that receives one then in the attached restaurant raffles (you can directly from the hotel ... into the bar go). The breakfast is great and you the possibility between 4 and 5 different combinations to choose, which are served. It also has in the hotel also a restaurant - this is a not very cheap, but there are also here the waiters very helpful and polite and the food great! read more

The hotel was good and is quite centrally located in midtown. One comes from the hotel everywhere now, generally one comes into Manhattan good everywhere back. The cleanliness was good in the hotel, the size of the rooms are acceptable. One is anyway hardly in the hotel, only for sleeping. The bed is not pretty large for 2 people. We were on the 23 floor and the window was not really close, one had everything on the street happens and the walls in the room 'small Ears '. If one is not sensitive and not kleinisch the hotel is good. ... The service and the employees are nice and always help. So a quick check in and check-out I have ever experienced. The subway is nearby, as well as the Rockefeller center is 5 minutes away and Times Square 10 minutes on foot distant. New York is very, very nice, who was there for once, he wants to in any case again there! read more

The rooms were a disaster. We are in the three days four moved. The first room was small, dirty and noisy! Windows were leaking and mold on the air conditioning. In the bathroom the handle. Much was torn from wall. The second room smelled so strongly of disinfectant, that you could not stand it. We spent a night in the third room. Cleanliness was in order, but it was on the 23 floor and the window (single) were not too close. The fan in the bathroom ran the whole night, so it was very cold in the room! The window ... opened by the noise was not to bear! The fourth room was okay, very small! Towels and cleanliness were in the room not okay new towels were with brown stains and the cleaning was not very thorough. The three nights for the price were not justified. Never again this hotel! read more

Big hotel in perfect location: located in midtown and three minutes walk from the Grand Central Station away. Eat on a lunch we didn't use it, which one in New York generally should do, since these often very overpriced. A Starbucks is available in the hotel building also available, however, this is nothing special in ny. We had a room on the 23. floor. This was sufficiently large and well equipped. The window was unfortunately leaking and the plumbing just ' only american standard. The service was really amazing! At the check-in in the hotel we found out, that our ... passports still in the taxi were. This was already again back to JFK Airport risks, what a good hour from Manhattan away. Walid, a driver from the hotel offered to us to go and the rest of the staff was very concerned us in this matter to support. Conclusion this hotel is more than adequate for a great city break. read more

Felt behind the name a little better we could have hoped for. We know the Radisson from Berlin, between the two hotels worlds. The bathroom quite small and not very clean, on the carpet in the room wanted you rather not walk barefoot and the ice machine at the end the corridor has very clearly in the room belongs. In short, the hotel is run-down and should once again acceptable. It is very centrally located, you can almost all sights to reach on foot and the staff with check in/ out was always very friendly. read more
