The ackselhaus is a wonderful retreat and my lieblingsbleibe in Berlin! On my last visit inhabited i am a charming apartment in the renovated old building with a pantry, living area with all kinds of technical comfort (tv, dvd, Iphone-docking station ), beautiful shower bath and a bedroom with a canopy. The rooms are quiet and just to be comfortable and relax! Wi-fi- use works wonderful and fast. The pantry is excellent equipped coffee machine and kettle, pots, pans, dishes, cutlery, teekanne and much more even teabag are available. The comfortable double bed has very good mattresses (important!) - asleep ... wonderful! Another plus breakfast until 12,30! And that is unbeatable! Everything your heart desires! The breakfast room is small but nice. With flickering fireplace, lounge music and good newspaper. What else could you want! Everything is with a lot of love decorated. Until in the smallest detail! Now christmas is a massive etagere in the entrance with delicious pastry for the guests. Until very soon, dear ackselhaus! I am on it! read more

This hotel you can really as 'inside tip' designate. In prenzlauerberg (pankow) located small hotel, every room was clean, very nicely furnished. We didn't like in a hotel felt, but 'at home' ( room Cairo). The staff are very friendly and attentive. The small breakfast buffet leaves nothing to the imagination, also 'see' and ' tastes' you attention to detail.
Traffic connection good, in a couple of minutes path one is at the next subway-station. With the taxi you pay circa 11 Euro ( Berlin-Mitte).
We will be back! :-) read more

Very interesting and quiet hotel in prenzlauer Berg. You are almost in green surroundings and does not feel, that the centre of Berlin in the ackselhaus just ten minutes walk from the main square is Alex. The rooms are very stylishly equipped and offer a lot of space. We found it to be a bit annoying, that the front desk is not occupied often, in other words call comes immediately someone, however, you would expect in a hotel in this price range rather not. If someone is looking for something special with taste is, the ackselhaus is just the right ... place. read more

Great Hotel-again at any time. also with a child. The extra bed could be oiled-We always got with our child in the bed if you were on the other side had rotated. The tv's are more than small-but we have chosen the great winter garden as evening end. Unfortunately no safe the former would be very important to us! Very friendly staff-especially in the breakfast room. But because the Hotel is in a higher price range, I would have liked scrambled eggs without extra charge and more variety of fresh rolls. Nevertheless, we would recommend this hotel to anyone very ... prestigious hotel chains prefer different again and again. read more

We spent four nights at the Blue home and in a wonderful four-poster bed in absolute peace slept The chandelier in the bathroom was the absolute hit as well as the sink Since we were mostly at 9.30 went for breakfast, there was also no hustle and special services such as freshly squeezed orange juice were prepared immediately All in all, we felt very, very comfortable
A little criticism but there are also: the minibar empty and to ask the drinks from the winter garden to take me as a lack of service As well as that there was ... no information in the room, not even a notepad The password for the free Wi-Fi access at the front desk I had to ask, but wenigistens there is a There was a safe unfortunately not And what is really missing hangers for jackets! ☺ I would recommend the ackselhaus/blue home at any time, the small criticism diminishes the general impression only low The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk to the Alexander square Thus gladly again at any time read more

The ackselhaus nächtigt with a lot of Charme in one of the different and lovingly furnished rooms. The house is located in a residential area and in spite of the convenient location-wise very quiet. With only two underground station and three tram from Alexander Platz transport hub, we could reach all sights of Berlin and comfortable. We were well cared for and felt very comfortable. The breakfast offered everything the heart could desire. The beautiful inner court with the conservatory we not, as much 'on the road'. If you put a lot of emphasis on a great atmosphere, the ackselhaus ... is certainly well cared for. read more

The hotel has nice little rooms which seem to be renovated recently. You have the breakfast in a small little restaurant called Club del Mar just one or two mins away from the hotel. The hotel also had a nice terrace and a little garden in the backyard. read more

The ackselhaus is a charming small hotel with charm, but with little comfort and imperfect service.
We have, in the last few years in some Berlin hotels in this price range much better used (for example general condition or hotel augustinenhof).
I had a double room with breakfast booked by telephone and got an apartment on the fourth floor (no lift and no bell boy!) without any service, there was neither to safe nor mini bar, was on the table, an out-of-date menu with a Ostergruß (Easter was past history). In the bathroom there was no cosmetics (soap, towels etc. ... cosmetic) and no cosmetic mirror. In the relatively large kitchen was not even a simple bottle opener to find. In the closet for sweater U missing. Similar, the shelves were occupied with bedding. The old bedding looked nice, but knarksten with every movement. Especially disgusting was a mosquito net on the beds. From the guests above us we heard every step. The wallpaper were stained. There wasn't maid service. The front desk staff left us a form to fill and gave us the key for the immediate cash, without any information (for example, smoking or non-smoking rooms). We have seen no lobby, salons or similar. We had the impression to be in an apartment complex, but the ackselhaus is located in the design of the Internet. The design was the only good thing about the hotel, but design is too little.
Also the breakfast is not a highlight, a small, little creative buffet and too few places in the restaurant (waiting periods or in blankets wrapped in the cold food!). The admittedly friendly staff (probably all temporary workers, I assume students) was completely overstrained, it was not cleared, buffet empty plates were only very sluggish, wilted daffodils stood on the table. I can recommend the ackselhaus despite the good location (close helmet lumberyard) unfortunately not. read more
