We had a great vacation in the hotel. Location, beach, excursions and hotel service are excellent. Merely the drink prices in the restaurant are expensive (1 bottle of mineral water 0.75 liter ~ 7 €). read more

Great hotel and very family friendly - in our day were over 90% families with smaller children in the hotel. Because the nearby located city Limassol (15 taxi minutes) are spontaneous possibilities for excursions. The food was excellent, both choice of the menus, as well as in buffet form. read more

Wonderful complex with dreamlike view of the sea, altogether good service, very good breakfast, Weaknesses in the warm dinner ( little fish dishes, plates were often cold, the warm food almost without exception in warmhalteboxen presented and for the performance of the hotel moderately in variety, looks and taste), reservations were accepted, but not always respected, apart from that attentive table service. Double room was OK with perfect view of the sea, balcony and bathroom are however quite small for the performance of the hotel. Very large beautiful outdoor swimming pool, a further smaller and indoor pool are available, so ... that here no desires remain open should, the hotel's own small beach we because of the travel time didn't use it, it was located directly in front of the complex. read more

The hotel was not full and we were in a junior suite upgraded. It was very relaxing and safe the best time for Cyprus, as at many corners the flowers blossomed. Only the drink prices in the hotel ( Espresso= 4 euros) took some getting used to. read more

the hotel is not überdemensioniert large, but has a very large garden. Here probably everyone its couch with sun screen. the hotel is in mostly about renovated two years ago, which extremely successful. the cleanliness in the hotel is hardly to outmatch. I had half board, which I do not regret it have. the guest structure was very mixed, both the age, as well as nationality concerned. It found during my stay also some congresses and so on instead of. The impaired but the tourist guests not at all-if I have time I cannot proceed. read more

    I had a renovated Superior Room on the third floor on the seaside. But maybe this designer-Facilities not everyone thing. The interior lacks nothing, the air conditioning worked, there were enough phones available, of course, also a great flat screen. As well as a possibility, a tea or coffee aufzugießen . A free safe was of course available. the furnishings in the bathroom left nothing to be desired. the rooms women were always friendly, as well as the housekeeping staff, the constantly again controlled.

    The Service Forces in the entire hotel must here a big huge compliment. You would have to seek, for negative to find. Something I have rarely experienced, not even in five star hotels. I had already in equivalent hotels in Limassol vacation made, but the Amathus surpasses all. One got along with English very well. But there is at the front desk and also in the restaurants some staff, a bit speak German, or understand. the cleaning of the rooms was excellent. I had asked, my room very early to clean-it worked without exception. evenings there is a night service, very pleasant and attentive. complaints i had no, but I am sure, they would be immediately fixed have been.

    Since the Amathus not primarily a tourist hotel is, there was no animation. Perhaps it is in the summer something else, the I cannot judge. It is a really big indoor pool, as well as two saunas available. Also outside is the swimming pool surprisingly large, and of course also very clean. I have a large fitness room with many different devices seen, but not used. as I have already mentioned, there are enough chairs and protection from the sun. Since the beach section is quite small, there are the few couches also a bit tighter. access to the internet is in the hotel free of charge. There is also an office with printer, where the internet also can be used for free.

    The large garden is from the beach only through a narrow beach Promenade. The beach section is quite small, the sand is rather dark. But the water is very clean. Of course, you can from the hotel way in both directions at the beach along go. there are opportunities to shop directly in front of the hotel safe enough. To city center Limassol has a good and reasonably priced bus connection. the prices this is down has been restated, the buses now in good condition. You should only the radios from the buses remove... Limassol is about 8 kilometers away from the hotel. There is a wide promenade, various options for shopping, Museums, churches, a larger weekly market and a castle. We have stayed four times in this hotel and would definitely come back. The standard is held. Room, location and food were very good. The atmosphere is simply great. We found it ideal to unwind and enjoy. Even if the November a part of the restaurants is closed, the normal is offered à la carte restaurant with buffet. There is a great choice. read more

Certainly the hotel was one of the best in Cyprus. The member of the leading hotels of the world, I think. In particular the restaurant didn't bother us. You get no seat on the terrace, you have to about indoor restaurant looks like Mc Donalds. However, the choice and the food in general is very good! The drinks are too expensive-the hotel should, if you have the best of Cyprus-the scale is too expensive! read more

The hotel deserves its five star clearly. The hotel area was very clean and well maintained. The guests are plenty of opportunities to make your stay an enjoyable one offered (pool inside and outside, fitness and spa, private beach). The buffet in the evening was varied. I have stayed several times in the Amathus, mostly for business, and stayed there for a week of pure relaxation. The hotel has always been a very pleasant place to stay and was fully renovated some time ago. Overall, my stay was extremely satisfactory: the rooms are very tastefully furnished, the service is very good, the food excellent (after the breakfast buffet is almost nothing more until the evening). Highly recommended are, in my view, in any event, the room with a view of the sea. These are a bit more expensive, but worth it in any case. read more

We were already very often in Amathus. The hotel was completely renovated. Great spa area! Room tastefully decorated. Rich breakfast and very good dinner buffet. The service and especially the friendliness of the staff has to Encouraging improved in recent years. Under these circumstances, we are coming again. read more

This 70's style hotel already had its best years behind it. Just the direct closemness to the beach was captivating, but only when you book 'ocean view'. Mostly English and Russian guests. Unfortunately we arrived at a construction site. Supposedly the hotel had just been reopened with renovations. That wasn't completely true - too bad! It wasn't exactly comfortable to sit in the looby with a drink and watch the sunset with construction workers running around. read more

    Our room on the top floor was unfortunately not renovated yet. The furniture looked thrown together and some of it was very used (ex: burn mark on the chair). The cleanliness was ok. It's important to note that it was of course nice when they came at night to clean the bathroom and change the towels, etc.

    The breakfast buffet was typical English and set up for the guests. The Calypso restaurant reminded me of a fast food restaurant. The quality of the dinner fit to the price. But, for example, no fish silverware for a fishdish was not fitting to a 5 star hotel. We only got a drink menu when we asked many times. The drinks were shameably expensive! In the lobby bar they didn't have the cocktails we wanted for 3 days (reason: the juice was empty...!).

    Concerning kindness, there could be no question here. If anything, you were treated kindly only with a tip, but only if it was a big one. Complaints were dealt with very superficially, and the proposed alternatives were more like insults.

    The sauna wasn't working for the first 3 days! It was poorly placed, from the pool you could see directly into the sauna. The swimming pool was also under construction. I got a key for the changing room but the closet wasn't put in yet. The adult pool wasn't clean and some mosaic tiles were missing (danger of injury!).

    The hotel was on the border of Limassol. There was a bus close by which could easily take you to shopping and entertainment possibilities. There was a mini market accross the street from the hotel where you could find everything and the owner was super nice.

    Nice large room. Our room was renovated and had a wonderful ocean view (upper floor).

    We jsut booked it with breakfast included. There were hardly any acceptable restaurants in the near area (at least we didn't find any), so we ate in the hotel restaurants and were very pleases (the fish restaurant for dinner and the terrace for lunch were recommendable, the menu was well sorted.

    The indoor pool with ocean view was nice, but maybe a little dirty. Both tennis courts were alright and hardly used. Luckily, there wasn't any entertainment.

My family and me we habe a great time in Amathus so is, that next month we fly again... We feel like home the Cyprus people love the children, and is the only place on my many vacations that I can really relax and not be afraid from anything. Wether is wonderfull , and a lot of Culture.
