We really enjoyed the two-week stay, everything was fine, the staff was always friendly and attentive, the room spacious and always very clean. All in all, we would recommend the thalassa only. We had a great relaxing stay. read more

the hotel is not too big and therefore very well arranged. It is very clean and the furnishing very modern. We had the half board booked, is however with night/breakfast to book. read more

Thalassa beach resort, especially the perfect location (directly at the beach, directly in the center, proximity to Chania or other interesting excursion possibilities), an excellent, friendly service and cleanliness.
The rooms are very clean and are large enough. Entgegenen some negative reviews was the land view room absolutely okay and very peaceful (this may be due to, which block you will be allocated). The bathroom is very big. Also thanks to the smooth plaster service presented the room in the pink of condition (only minus: old tv with only three german channels).
The hotel is mainly by locals and scandinavians ... visited. Eastern european noise remains completely from. Dutch fortunately also in the strong minority. Minority also applies to english, french and german. All in all a very pleasant climate, who relaxing, quiet holiday to enjoy. What having this is, that fortunately no unnecessary noise by animation and also almost no infants or families to find.
The meal is typical greek offered (lamb, squid, fish, Gyros, souvlaki, etc.). Taste & selection absolutely convincing, and for a 4,5 star hotel very good.
What the price of drinks wise: for german standards very reasonable, for regional standards unfortunately 4, 5-star typically somewhat convince (small beer 2.80, cocktails 6.50, small Cola 2,40, friday Orange juice 3.20). Not to exceed is, however, the very fast and reliable service in the hotel-area.
The view is terrific. What the lovely nearby pool is, the further 10 meters to the beach redundant power. This is than sandkiesstrand with large stones in the water and is certainly not the strength of the hotel.
Moreover, that the hotel nor 6 Euro for 2 couches absorbed and plentiful unnecessarily also 3. access to the chairs granted, what capacity & atmosphere were completely unnecessary robs.
The weaknesses concerned is also to be mentioned, that the hotel in times of major load a bit too few space and thereby especially the speisenzeiten in class loses.
Otherwise, the hotel in all essential criteria especially also by the fact, that it is very well situated and numerous excursions invites (either by rental car or, for example, by bus, 20-30 minutes to Chania for laughable 1,60 Euro!).
Whoever on a price- leistungstechnisches decent hotel in a very good location, very pleasant hotel guests, peaceful atomsphere, fantastic view and high comfort, comes in the range Chania/ aghia Marina/ platanias not this hotel around! read more

Beware, it is on the three rooms (for example room number 307), which as single or emergency room will be assigned. These rooms are directly in the lobby, in other words balcony 'belüftet' sich in the lobby, no fresh air! We had the first night a emergency room (single room, although double room as single room-was not cheap!) and this was changed after repeated complaint long on the second day, in a strongly of smoke smelly, but room with balcony to the free! Double room with extra bed, two-storied and very okay. unfortunately no mini bar-although an empty fridge in ... each room! (would be nice service, especially when you go to black arriving time, and water needs). Beach: through arduous sea entrance slabs at the area of the hotel, with waves almost impossible. (20 meters farther there is again). Beach chairs at the beach with 3 euros relatively expensive, and you should, if, in room price as far from the pool bar you immediatly. Only good: you can write on the room bill. The restaurant features only a few terraces seats, so boring and humiliating to 19 o 'clock for dinner already have to, to order (half-board) 19 o' clock time to be left, and one of the few tables outside.-or you can sit in the relatively uncomfortable, air-conditioned interior, where the Büfettgäste and then pushing. Must be in season! The staff was very courteous, E, D speaking. Food was very good (at least for four days, the selection). Very good food à la Carte menu at the pool bar. Neg: the music at the pool bar, annoying disco sounds, nothing Greek or pleasant-comfortable. Noise from early morning until evening! Unfortunately little kid friendly, mini children's pool, playground. still no for four days consistently okay, nice area, compact and clean. Surrounding area nice to walk at night. Nice beach taverns overall. Would possibly only breakfast next time. read more

Our review is late but somehow we did not come to it. Our bathing vacation short feedback on Crete. It was just excellent and relaxing. Swimming in the ocean was end of May unfortunately not possible (for us at least, some tough are purely) and because of the wind from the sea, you could anyway not really at the beach beach chairs. But that was not so bad, as in the garden, the beach chairs cost nothing and there is no wind and to the pool was only 3 steps. The food was a dream and we got an upgrade ... to a junior suite (2 floors). The first night we could not sleep because of the air conditioning, because the really loud weekend but didn't bother us that only on the first night afterwards used to you to it. We fandene it sad that there was no all inclusive the offer was made, because the food was good but most would eat out anyway therefore offers this hotel max. Half board at. From 2012 it is only an 'adult only' hotel, which I personally nice, but the price therefore around 200% attracts is not explicable. read more

If there is a four star hotel looks I don't want to know how it looks in Crete on the other hotels. In our room all the time is a car in the garage or. The people waiter we heard even talk through the ceiling. Longer than until 8:30 could not sleep after the cleaning lady was so loud, that you had to get up anyway. The beach chairs you had to pay extra daily, as are the drinks at dinner and the in-room safe. Dinner was rather a 3 star hotel. For our money, we expected more. read more

Unfortunately we were in the hotel nearly the only German!!! Only Greeks and Scandinavian! The employees could except for the front desk and the gastronomy chef some German. Otherwise there is the main language English! You should definitely book ocean view of booking, with the risk that the rooms facing the noisy parking is the nachbarkneipe and there is noisy at night! Bathing shoes are highly desirable, as the large rocks at enter very painful. If you have a piece of turn right and walk, it is a nicer sandy beach. Which was very disturbing was that you apparently from ... outside white that the pool chairs at the pool are nice and also cost nothing which many tourists from other apparently poor the nextdoor hotels, and lay down on the pool chairs! Also so we complained at the front desk, but they sadly only once checked and the next day we already not more! The Greeks had many small children, the large adult pool loudly with airbeds and other things ( what really noisy sign is forbidden) by itself income since it was unfortunately with the peace! read more

We had a sea view room in the main building, that its two stories ( bedroom above). Very nice and highly recommended. contains throughout and subtle fellow guests, nothing for Animationshungrige. Nice, quiet resort. Food was very good, but the choice is not completely convinced. Enjoyable was the strong related to the Greek cuisine and the extensive avoidance of pseudo-international cuisine. Fresh fruit at breakfast would have been nice, but unfortunately there was only for dinner. The excellent show-kitchen, but there was only allzuselten calls (2xFrühstück, 1xAbendessen). The desserts were excellent. For Mietwagenfahrer there were to the left and right ... of the hotel great, free parking and a private parking, each for free. The staff was very helpful and very friendly. read more

We stayed for two weeks in Thalassa Beach resort and you can only agree with the previous opinions. The hotel is as described and to have to say goodbye to them was not just so much Greek hospitality. The other guests were all very friendly and pleasant and there was even if you are looking for the bother and, no reason to complain. Which we found to be very nice, a room with rafts, Schwimmringe and so on. You could get ( without extra charge). There was no entertainment as been commented on enough but once a week a greek ... evening the always an experience. All in all this is a hotel to be able to wander in whenever you definitely recommend it to anyone! In 2010 we will be guests of the Thalassa Beach Resort and wish all other also a holiday in Crete! read more
