With so lots of reviews and many comments we try us on the essential issues and discussion to restrict: beach, food, pool, accommodation, child care, overall impression Accommodation: initially two negative experiences. We had a not renovated apartment with a view of the sea booked. This was unfortunately quite run-down and clearly smaller than advertised. For this we can at best still 2 the four hotelsterne rating. TUI had the apartment in the catalog with approximately 47 meters² described, really it was at best - if at all - 35 meters² large. Really beautiful cheeky! Also this was only about ... several flights of stairs, without railings ( altogether four treppenabschnitte ). In the catalog is also no speech. With two small children and baby carriage not really reasonable and with small children not harmless. An elevator there is only in the main building. We wonder, that this has hardly anyone has been mentioned. You can the apartment therefore not considered as' especially familienfreundlich' (loud TUI-catalog) designate, since when interior furnishing not that much emphasis on child-friendliness is. Food: initially we had-like some other here more bad experiences with the food made. Half gares vegetables, overcooked or hard potatoes, soft ungewürzte fries, not tasty main courses. To two days improved the situation. The main meals were much better seasoned. You had the feeling, that chefs had changed (or gave it complaints?). We can in any case the essenkritiker, as well as the words of praise for the food understand. Selection, there are but generally enough -in the morning and evenings. Pool: great main pool, in October still 23 to 24 degrees (there is a temperature gauge by the pool). The pool is beautifully large and warm. Which we appreciated a lot, is, that around the shallow pool soft grass is laid out. Over here is absolutely permitted and didn't hurt. Great idea! Beach: in October was much seaweed at the beach. Oh well, there were in September a herbststurm in the western mediterranean, so now the seaweed on the coasts of the balearic islands. Way this hardly, the other already described. Also is absolutely right, that in the water again and again rocks and steingruppen the friends the bathing diminish. There is also beautiful sections, but a kleinkinderstrand this is not really ( not like for instance on Mallorca the bay of Alcudia). This is the tour operators kept silent, that is just not the water stonefree is. Child care: there is nothing to complain about there. The kikoland -almost a ferienkindergarten -thrilled young and old. The entertainment is with a lot of heart and commitment carried out - during the day and evenings. All together the Royal Son Bou is a good resort with a few weaknesses in the accommodation, which have not yet been renovated, and many stair entrances with various apartments. You have to but also the value for money by taking into consideration the four-star categorization see. We have in the autumn circa 1800€ for one week half board paid, in the summer this costs about twice as much. This is the complex but it was not wise, since - as mentioned - not all areas of the expectations at four stars enough. As you can get elsewhere clearly more for the money, which were also some previous speakers follow. Why is the Royal Son Bou so highly rated? Probably, because the children feel very comfortable here and the parents then little are stressed, because in this area the hotel has his strengths. The selection at the buffet is enormous. Less would mean more, because the quality of the food could be improved. Big praise the complete staff. The entertainers were very motivated, that many children or little children, they really always everything was! The staff in the restaurant is very friendly and the service is excellent. read more

In the hotel complex everything is clean and tidy, the rooms are in several smaller buildings and a maximum of two storied arranged. The area is large but nevertheless clearly, it is very much of the detail. Very good children care. This hotel is constantly being extended and renovated without character to lose. read more

TOP: With children absolutely first choice. The beach is very convenient. The staff was very friendly and thorough. Very clean rooms. Buffet is varied and loads also times to try from unique one. Child care is motivated and fun. FLOP: - the beds - Love hotelier, give here 5 Euro more for a mattress from, the is a joke in comparison to the total cost for a furniture. On the day of departure the room rooms to a one and a half year old, sick child, then 6 hours with roaring febrile offspring in the lobby or otherwise where hang ... out around the time to airport transfer rumzubekommen, that is the great problem! And is a families-Club not good face. - no Agreement for the hotel guests, a Liege at the beach with 15 Euro p/day. Pay. read more

Important especially for Neckermann and TUI customers, that the hotel renovated and non-renovated room. (this is according to the hotel management, from the catalogs of these two suppliers not clear ) is however very important! The hotel is overall very clean. It has a large and a small children's swimming pool, the way to the beach are approximately 150 meters. read more

    I must here now 2 stars, to draw attention to, that there are huge differences. There were renovated and non-renovated rooms. According to the hotel manager is just at Neckermann and TUI this problem not transparency for the customers, so there is often trouble comes, if a holiday-makers in an unrenovated're referring to. This rooms are a catastrophe, the plaster came from the wall, the tiles are loose, the furniture look... The renovated rooms are very pleasant. There are compared to the other room 2 tv equipment, a ceramic hob, a nice new bathroom with children sink and shower fixtures for children. So if the hotel, then always specify renovated room. Unfortunately, in these rooms the besteckschubladen with knives and forks on the amount that a two-year-old really fun. This is not a family hotel... So what must be better planned and thought out.

    There are 2 restaurants, one in the main building and one of the children's swimming pool, the latter has now for the winter already closed. It is however the nicer and it distributes itself so also very good the audience. So liked a lot that always fish and seafood and also very diverse and versatile. There was fish which i had never heard. The pizza in the lower restaurant in the stone oven freshly prepared. There is the possibility with a cook side dishes to choose and he then prepares fresh pasta with this side dishes too. Very good... Top! If you with a child to eat comes, you will directly asked, whether you are a high chair for the room and it is immediately a waiter and straps such a thing at the table... I missed often (especially with desserts) the signs to see, what to eat, especially with allergies it can be deadly. Also was missing for the desserts a körbchen with small spoons, that was annoying if you run around to a spoon to check availability. It is at the table a set, but if you the something else used, is running around going on. It is the same with glasses. Actually with the drinks for breakfast could... The kids buffet was the idea was also very pleasant, but with the worst that i have ever seen at a kids buffet seen and the in a family hotel. As an example i want the breakfast mention, the kids buffet consists of muesli, a schokocroissant and Nutella. Why cannot a small plate with sausage and cheese are!? Or perhaps some fruit and, because the kids buffet was, the fruit a little, nice cut with faces or similar? That's how i imagine a attractive kids buffet actually before. Z

    So that it was a family hotel, it is a no-go, that you with half board if you in the morning at 08:00 o'clock at the hotel is no breakfast. As for the return trip, the room should until 12 o'clock vacated, picked up at the hotel we were at 18:15 o'clock, that's nothing to me, but with a child in a family hotel. Should also be ensured, that kids nap need to make. This is not, then i cannot family hotel name. The rooms were cleaned, whether you wanted or not. A doctor is in the house, costs 50 €. The child care at kiko club... Nice idea...     There is a children's swimming pool, the maximum i think 90 centimeter deep and also the large pool has a large shallow area that is really nice. However, i must again say that a families and children hotel. Therefore, i do not understand, why not a small slide for children there is? Or at least a water feature/waterfall on the children it must. There is a large 'waterfall sculpture' at the main building, these is however fenced and there are the children not... Nice stupid... Since the children's swimming pool below the kikoland is, disturb the compressors or machinery very strong in its volume Unfortunately, there was the children's swimming pool no toilet... There is wi-fi, but the connection is horrible.

    The hotel is located rather near to the beach, in between is a huge and ugly hotel. Son bou than town is not much. There are the most necessary, expensive supermarkets, bars, pharmacy and doctor however nothing more. The beach is for children not convenient, it is a catastrophe that such a beach on a family-kids-hotel is. First was the whole beach full of seaweed and algae, but the hotel can first of all, nothing. However the hotel can it, if the stuff beach chairs was leftover or eliminated. It was not removed, so except for a few exceptions, 3 meters wide from the stuff was, through which you 20 centimeter deep by had, to into the sea to get. The sea is but much worse. The sea is in this area from stones and steinlandschaften. I as an adult lifeguards am 2 angry between 2 stone slabs slipped and injured, despite very slow gehens. I would not imagine, what happens, if one child as not so good swimmers the same happens and in panic device. One can well 100 metres was super calm, as the water approximately an altitude of 'chest' then also the sand at least after 150 metres, steep. I could in this area still stand and wanted to a few meters swim, was however from the lifeguard already back called, because i the boienbereich had... And the sea was very quiet... The highlight for me at whole vacation was, again left from the hotel away on designated trails the area to explore, so makes the vacation fun. Over stick and stone.

We had a dreamlike family vacation, with the needs of all parties into account. In particular the kind and varied child care and -animation I would like to at this point stress. But also we adults had water aerobics, Zumba, table tennis, soccer, water polo, eTC. Fun or could just our peace enjoy. Pool and beach are very nice and clean. Also about the food I can't fault. There was regularly minorcan specialties. You could always fish or meat fresh grill leave. The side dishes were varied. Points of criticism you have to almost find: the cocktails are not so ... delicious; probably, because instead of crushed ice ice cube be used. The fruit in the restaurant was not always in good condition. The tables in Sesselbereich the bar were often sticky. And the staff the bar was also not so friendly. The much especially so on, because the remaining staff are very friendly and was pleasant. Our cleaning lady was very clean and has for example the floor every day with a Chlorlösung cleaned. -> this hotel I can for a family vacation absolutely recommend. read more

The hotel is despite about 250 apartments quite manageable and in general good condition, clean, with a neat garden area nice to look at. Just returned on the hotel terrace with the many greenery you sit under the sun awnings very pleasant. The royal son Bou is a pure family hotel. For those seeking tranquillity couples not really suited. read more

    We had a renovated apartment with a bedroom, The living area we not straight enormous, but for 2 weeks perfectly adequate. A kitchenette with a hob and fridge is available, a kettle we missed.

    In various reviews about the food visted was, we have not that much expected, but positively surprised. The food was in two restaurants varied, but we more often the grill restaurant were. There were daily diverse dishes typical of the country. The vegetables and fruit also tasted good for us. And for breakfast the fresh bread was also worth mentioning. Clear tasted a sometimes or other not, but overall the food was a four-star hotel just. Gourmets, the about the food complain about, can the next time a five star hotel book, perhaps your palate there satisfied.

    Service was perfect, foreign languages skills available, But I am of the opinion, that one as a tourist in the holiday time effort can, water or Cola in the local language (spanish) or at least clearly to speak German and not in deepest bavarian or swabian dialect.

    Beautiful pool area, ideal for kids long flat. Children's entertainment in kikoland (kids club) perfect. You are incredibly much trouble with the children. Also the offered excursions ( farm, ducks, pony-trekking) are for children highlights. Nightly the minidsiko instead, in the port show program for adults. Big special praise for the entertainers around chio, Irina, Paulina... , a totally wonderful vacation for children.

    The hotel is despite about 250 apartments quite manageable and in general good condition, clean, with a neat garden area nice to look at. Just returned on the hotel terrace with the many greenery you sit under the sun awnings very pleasant. The royal son Bou is a pure family hotel. For those seeking tranquillity couples not really suited.

    Transfer time about 20 minutes from the airport. On foot to the beach about 5 minutes. Shops ( supermarket, need of beach) in the immediate area. Excursions there are some, since menorca is relatively small, one comes with the rental car everywhere fast. The large neighboring hotel, the view of the sea partly prevented, looks unattractive from, but it didn't bother us farther.

Very nice hotel with big pool, rooms are not next to -but stacked located, thus no noise from the immediate neighbor. From block A-C wonderful strandsicht. Hotel is very clean, regularly are the cleaning ladies and provide for order. We have booked half board, all inclusive is also and includes a large variety of drinks and ice cream for children. We were with beginning of 30 the recent guests, very many germans, some british, swiss and dutch. read more

    Category a1 with large elternschlafbett, couch in the living room as extra bed and including another, smaller pull-out bed for one child. Baby cribs are made available. With small kitchen, tv, air conditioning, fan, bathroom. Nicely decorated, with spanish charm. Our room was not renovated and therefore the furnishing a little strained, but you don't spend even not the whole day in the room.

Unfortunately dares a certain clientele absolutely nothing exotic, so much good, spanish food not touched and against sausages and fries were eaten.     Big offer, unfortunately but was the entertainment for kids in the evening something 'careless', that means the three mascottchen came really short on the stage and for the picturesession you could enrol and really short beside the mascottchen places. Other animation in kikoland but very wide-ranging and for children a great pleasure.

Very clean hotel, very friendly staff. Perfect for children. Sufficient space by the pool, no fight for loungers. The beach ideal for kids and infants. The sea spotlessly clean and clear. The sandy beach clean. The rooms great by the size and decor. Only drawback, if you are looking for the temperature of the dishes. Apart from that very recommendable for families. Without children it is not very recommendable to go there, as it naturally with lots of children not always quiet. read more

Fabulous hotel not only for families with the children. As a few, we also very well felt. Although we very early to the hotel arrived (and our room not yet reachable was ), we could changing rooms in spezialem hotel bathroom fit and things in Gepackaufbewahrung bleibenlassen. As supplement, we could also the breakfast food (without zusatzlichen costs). At 11:00 o'clock we were satisfied at the beach. In September there were also large quantity small children. I think that in July and August several are. It didn't so much disturbed but we booked half board and spent the whole ... time on the beach or on the tour of Menorca. My wife has the room great pleased. Literally-it was almost like a apartment- day room, bathroom, bedroom, Kuchenbeilage and corridor. The food very good- almost like hotel Horizon Beach in Kos., Overall the hotel is with its ambience, food and location 100% recommendable. read more

    The food was very tasty, the choice has of course also times. I found the food but great. Once bowls only empty go threatened, was immediately supply in/out privileges.     The staff were very friendly, also to the children. I find this really enormous, because in September the service people already months with wild the sound of children shrieking and yelling behind itself... Of course it should be, that the staff always friendly is, however you have really my allergrößen repekt! Without exception always friendly! German and English are not a problem at all. You could always communicate. The rooms were quick and well cleaned. We could not fault it.

    The pools are great. The pool for adults is nicely refreshing and the baby pool pleasantly warm. Loungers were never reserved-it was also not necessary, because there were at any time of the day still discontd to find. Class also, the free wi-fi in the whole hotel. There you had to at least not in any internet corner, time to go online. The beach was clean, no trash to see. The water clearly, a day a few seaweeds to see, which is a however actually, because it is now a natural waters. The closer at the end of the beach, direction cliffs is, the more rock are under the water surface to find. If older kids game in the water rage, it might be advisable, a little further away from the cliffs away into the water to go, so that there is no bloody knee gives.

    To the beach you could 'just' go. In the tunnel to the beach there is a extra shower, so that you didn't get the whole sand with into the room drags. Great thing! Supermarkets and the usual souvenir shops there are directly next to the hotel. Where you can things of the daily life and buy for children masses of aufblastieren. Excursions we didn't use, there we with 3 very small children on the way were. However we were at the front desk several destinations called.

    We were in the renovated apartment in a block with a pool view, everything very nice and clean. Especially worth mentioning the sink for kids in the bathroom ( great idea). Kitchenette is mini, but for the coerced.

    There are 2 restaurants, a very big, cafeteria character, both by the number of guests very loud. Offer and quality of the dishes leaves rather more to be desired, fast food style, not always fresh. Vegetables, fruit ( and unfortunately also fish) very tasteless, fries soft, but meat tough. We would have for Spain in any case more taste and quality expected. The exception: the 'live chef' freshly prepared pasta la basilica, very recommendable.

    Altogether a good sport, show-and entertainment program for adults and children. Unfortunately we did of the child care more promised. We know from other families hotels & clubs a care in separate groups with caregivers and program for children. The ' kikoland ' resembles a a IKEA kids' club, unfortunately there are however ( despite minor in age groups) no recognizable structures. Some children (marked by colorful west) are alone since, most however with parents. There are beautiful actions offers (painting, arts and crafts, games, etc.) , however here everyone spontaneously participate, so that the small tables usually more adults as children ( mom malt, dad filmed, child look other children on the bouncy castle to). As there is no fixed groups with caregivers is, separately ( apart from the open mom/ dad/ grandma/ grandpa concept) are accommodated, did our daughter only once to convince alone to stay there. When we later picked us up, it was alone outside rum, far and wide no attendant in sight. Our proposal (as we know): a open play area ( and program) for all included parents, but please ( either a separate part or certain times or for certain actions) elternverbot in kikoland, so that the children persuaded also times alone there looked after. Required are of course appropriate betreuercharaktere, the unfortunately only the minority represented.

We were satisfied all around! The entertainment for kids is unique, the figures kiko & co the pure highlight! The only negative was the heated and ice-cold adults pool the not so hot days in September a cold run. Our daughter was mood and to learning to swim but unfortunately we had to therefore wisht. Menorca was beautiful, had a hired car and are therefore often on the way, it is worthwhile from Germany from a rental car to book. Would like to next year once again fly. read more

    The room was quite worn, partly in the bedroom the tiles loose (a 721) The cleaning of the rooms medi golf was not so small. There were indeed always fresh towels since, however, the dirt or hair only from one corner to the next moves, or remained 3-4 days at the same place. On the way there hairs in the bathtub. 2 time was really clean.

    The short transfer is very positive, the shopping possibilities in town were enough. Excursion possibilities are abundant. Very good is the circular hiking route (so-called pferdeweg ) to the island around. Unfortunately, there was no decent transportation of the individual stations the wanderetappen back to the resort.
