We stayed in this hotel over new year's, which was now the jw Marriott part of a chain and not the jumeira. The location directly on the Central Park is wonderful. In a couple of minutes one is on the 5. avenue-and if one well and gladly on foot on the way is, one can also without further to the Times Square walking. About 3 minutes to the nearest u-bahn. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are for new york standards very good size, clean and modern. Gladly again! read more

The hotel lies absolutely super right on the central park. Times Square and other sights are either on foot or with the subway( just round the corner) easy to reach. The hotel was very clean and great furnished( everything new or newly renovated). Staff was perfect friendly and we were well-advised and always directly helped us. The only downside the breakfast was. We had not booked and then on the first day ate there. Continental were with 25 $ veranschalgt and it includes only bread/ rolls with jams and cereal variations (inclusive coffee and tea). That was definitely no good ... value for money! For 37 $we had the complete breakfast offer could make use of, which but also definitely not much rich appeared! But there is beautiful cafes nearby, where you great breakfast receives. Perhaps also not straight cheap however therefor with more selection! Apart from that us that very good hotel much and we would this would always book again. read more

Great location at the narrow side of the Central Park. In the center - Fifth Avenue is within walking distance. Underground station 150 meters. The building atmosphere. The rooms, also the standard rooms ('essex-queen ') are spacious. Cleanliness is the 5 star level. The breakfast buffet offers a great variety, but unfortunately relatively expensive, but this is in ny. So! The south gate restaurant is very recommendable! read more

Also during our 2. visit we were not disappointed. The staff is again good, especially at check in one was very much endeavored! We got an upgrade for a room type to get! (room was a little larger). The breakfast was excellent again, you should the buffet take, as individual orders a nice sum together comes. As has already been noted : the location is perfect - on central park, to Broadway it is 10 minutes on foot, u-bahn-station nearby, so, it was ideal. Next time New York surely again jumeira essex house. read more

    Very friendly, very helpful; we were upgraded, as it was our first trip to NYC; room service was great! Every day fresh bath robes, fresh towels, fresh linens; some ice for drinks; complaints: As the mini-bar with a sensor is, we had on our bill on the day of departure over 100 -$not consumed the we had. You knew that but very competent ensure because we had Cheesecake in the fridge and the drinks cleared up, and the next day. And the maid confirmed it for you.

    The location of this hotel is just top top top! Can't be beat (except for the PLAZA). Located right on the Central Park we had just everything in sight, what NYC has to offer. The Columbus Circel it's a few meters, there is also a "small" shopping center. There is also a metro station, where you can take uptown and downtown. (With the most important lines) to Times Square we went over Broadway in 7 mins. In the other direction we had only 7 mins. On 5th Avenue. (Shopping possibilities without end) to the airport to the hotel would take the shuttle 50mins incl. rush hour;

We had a junior suite for a week for 1700 euros, with views of Central Park. We got a suite with a view of the to brick courtyard where only the air conditioning units. To the complaint from us no response. The room was not really clean the bedsheets were hairs, the bathroom was not not in a very good condition. The tiles were dirty, garnish many Aud hanging off. The Stepsel from the sink was broken. We had our room on, "do not disturb 'provided, however the cleaning ladies came every while knock and each time and even a ... note pushed through we should open. I recommended to go out to eat once this hotel. Just bad read more

    The room was fine. A comfortable king bed with normal blanket (no blanket) and a small sofa by the window. Our room was on the fourth floor with view of the construction site. Luckily were windows are soundproof. In addition there was a large closet, desk, sideboard, refrigerator, flatscreen tv, two bedside tables. Everything was clean and tidy. Small Schöhnheitsfehler as chipped paint could quickly repaired. The bathroom was clean. stay small chipped spots on the walls and on the wood. The toilet seat was moving. Big sink, much storage space, shampoo, shower gel, tissues were available. The shower was a handheld shower, which is common in American hotels.

    Our room was the buffet breakfast included. The best breakfast we have ever had. A large counter with everything you could want for your cereal. Nuts, dried fruit, cereals. A cool shelves to with fresh fruit (raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, melon, mango, pineapple), yogurt, milk, different types of sausage, fish (mackerel, salmon, etc. ). Different Bagelsorten, danish, croissants, cakes. Scrambled eggs, bacon, warm sausages. So everything! The breakfast costs $35 per person. Really worth the money. Highly recommended.

    The front desk clerk check-in was polite, but very non-committal, nondescript. He asked us by our Zeitungswunsch. Unfortunately the promised newspapers but not for us. Other guests was outside the door. On request we got one by the breakfast. The cleaning was immaculate, maids were friendly, if you met them in the hall. Service at breakfast was rather mixed, it came very on the server at. On the first day our waiter was great, very attentive and fast. The waiters on the second day was probably new, very inattentive and itself has been classified tip on the bill - rude.

The location right on the Central Park South is great, the view of the park and the opportunities. But be careful with the majority of the recommendations of the hotels to restaurants, etc. Miserable. The decor was very nice and modern. Behind the hotel is still the "old shed" before earlier. The air conditioning was very noisy. Noise from the Sanitärleitungen unreasonable: If the person in the room above us taking a shower was so noisy, standing ourselves under the shower head. The windows were the old "American sash windows". As drafty pure like "terrible draft". When we returned in the evening the air conditioning because of the volume had agreed (this is the heating), 1925 we had 23°C; the next morning was the room on 15Grad cool. Then we ordered extra pillows, so we cold wind through the cracks blew, Interception. It is not unknown for NY a noisy city. But the hotel is so poorly insulated, that you always street noise and hear the hum of the large air conditioners. For the buffet of the children (4 years) additional charge between 21.00 USD and 35.00 USD / every day a knowledgeable and no other amount. The buffet was very good and fresh. The service is just a ridiculous. It takes forever to get coffee was refilled. The 2 . Day we had to 25 minutes. to wait to get us to a table. Half of the table was free. When I requested for why they couldn't have one of those tables, I was told it would not be enough staff there to serve all tables. He than I threatened to take a table and "on the service to pipes" we got finite assigned a table. The next morning the same Circus; just the at this time we thank god already had a table. I felt the about 20 guests only regret, as the "get stuck" in front of you had to wait half empty breakfast buffet.

Well located hotel right on the Central Park, ideal as a base for the day in the city. But: more expensive give (breakfast and room service). For a real 5 star hotel but a few requests stay open: working light fixtures in room; clean bathrooms and a bearable night's sleep, the hotel's air conditioning only very limited. read more

    Minibar (compared to other hotels very expensive) large flat screen TV, telephone, safe, wireless Internet access (surcharge,: EUR 2.80 per person per day. $14 per day! ) The hotel is supposed recently been renovated for approximately 70 million, but that's probably only to the lobby, the restaurant and the guests are not known premises. Rooms are but "okay".
