We are every year holiday in a Iberostar hotel in the dominican republic-you can't compare (dom is better-it costs the same). The animation is a sleepy group and the evening entertainment was everyday the same (no ideas of the entertainment, every day a tanzvorstellung - always the same, only the clothes was another) - very boring. In the first week was the buffet mostly empty - in the 2. week should the lack of staff in the food area will have been eliminated or it was the strike stopped? - then it was little better. The staff is however exceedingly ... friendly and hard-bravo! Next year we are again going to Punta Cana. read more

Nice nice hotel friendly pleasant staff-only in the 1 week chaos at the buffet always everything was empty. Spezialrestaraunts very good also no problem have 6 time. The entertainment was very weak -but otherwise live music daily. read more

Very nice rather smaller resort brilliantly located directly on the long beach of Varadero. We lived here 2 wonderful weeks. On new year's eve there was next to a gala buffet a very nice show with followed by champagne at midnight. sparkling wine without limits so much everyone wanted! The resort is in a very beautiful landscaped tropical garden, the paths are relatively short and everything is easy to reach. The employees especially in the restaurants and bars are very pleasant and we had a lot of fun. Only point of criticism is unfortunately the food which is neither varied ... nor of the best quality is. I quite selective found something i liked but in sum it is not worth 5 stars! The i have stayed at other resorts already much better seen! In conclusion, i can this hotel thoroughly recommend it to anyone. read more

Beach nice, but around there is nothing. You have to by bus/taxi to Varadero drive. Drive about 30 minutes to the open bus. Choice of food large, but completely bland or unseasoned. At the table salt and pepper -because of the moisture is the salt not streufähig and luck at the bar a bottle of curry or schaschliksoße. No lemons to fish or similar! Fries often very soft and always the same food, gladly the dinner even for breakfast. Pool only the wet are, but not for swimming. Animation?! Steppkurs duration 8! Minutes for sliding steps made of hard plastic. ... Drinks are well-it is the cuban rum. read more

We have one of the most beautiful vacations on Cuba spent. Well, at the rooms can things be done, but they are very clean and every day was lovingly the bed decorated. The gardener, a mit blumensträusschen and the staff are very friendly and attentive. Who about the food had any complaints here, as we ask us, which as at home on the table comes. The selection was so extensive, since was something there for everyone. After a few days not more strange before, but like in a big family. Who european standard would like, should perhaps in eoropa stay. ... Who to Cuba travels, should itself before about the realities and is therefore also not disappointed. It was beautiful and we will come again. A big thank you at the entire team from the Playa Alameda! read more

A very relaxed stay. The food much better, as from other reviews prior to to read was. In 14 days every day new food, very fresh, delicious! The furniture in the room were ageing (difficult drawers). The walk-in wardrobe was too small for more than two people and very dusty. The cleaning staff gave itself very much trouble with decorations from blankets and towels. Several bars, partly with snacks (delicious) and great-also non-alcoholic cocktails. Internet had to be paid 5 cuc per 30 minutes in 30 minutes it was not possible, me to see my mails to log in, the ... construction page took too long in my opinion rather a rip-off. But a beautiful game-and reading corner with billiards, table tennis (free) and books/magazines in many languages the loan. Very well maintained clean facilities, fantastic beach, for good booking of the hotel however too few beach chairs pool and beach. read more

Who to Cuba travels, should definitely not only in the sun beach chairs, but the country is much too exciting-around guided tours (the offer the most tour operators is great) or in conclusion individual travel but the hotel is the perfect address. read more

We really Iberostar Playa Alameda just enjoyed. Fantastic service & staff, there was always something delicious food to eat or drink available, many games, sportsmöglichkeiten and activities, and a wonderful beach, which it was made, simply lazy to be. But otherwise many excursions, and the hotel itself is in charming kolonialstyle built. Just amazing, and exactly what we needed! read more

    A pure disappointment! On the first glance exactly the room from the catalog, on the 2. a catastrophe! Stains on the ceiling-the toilettenpapierspender was dirty, as well as the schminktuchspender. In the shower were donors for showering gel and shampoo-in a sponge a dead insect. Broken tiles in the room - the balcony door was so heavy that you almost not on the balcony. The balcony furniture was rusty. The tv was, had however no front desk. The safe was in a closet, this was only in the wall-you could ease the entire closet including safe from the wall pull.

    The good first : the cocktails are really good! Otherwise you should the food on some drawbacks calm. There was a lot of fish in good quality - if it meat, there was it was mostly tough and not very well. The food repeated very often. Unfortunately much from the can and there is little fresh. Fresh vegetables is: peppers, weeds in all variants, rarely green tomatoes Otherwise you will find in the salad louder canned vegetables such as maize, silverskin onions, gherkins, beans. We thought that this was a pity, because fresh vegetables should everywhere grow and be available. The beverages (soft drinks) are getting used to, but ok. All in all, you can get full - the food is however for the price - the star and the chain disappointing

    For the waiters you can tell the socialism. Many all-inclusive vacation, we were not used to always tip on board-but the impression this from the staff expected. Everywhere-from the main restaurant with the bar to the beach - each represents a trinkgeldschale and lots of guests always give a bit. There is no tip you will quickly 'relieved guest' because of the now somewhat should work on. The ladies at the reception were particularly unfriendly. On arrival at 13 o'clock in the hotel we were until 15 o'clock a total of 3 times put off the check-in is not possible we should each 1 hour later. At 15 o'clock they told us we should not be so often the check in would be anyway only at 16 o'clock. However the room was also at 16 o'clock not available. We could however many other guests watch the to us and above our room got. Only after the we can no longer put off left us under what you eyes abfälligen view just a different room given. This would already at 13 o'clock have been possible. The maid took on the penultimate day even things from our rooms and wrote us a note where it the ' gifts' thanked!

    The pool is actually nice laid out, but for swimming not convenient. 70% are just knee-high and the optics. The water was very cold. The deeper area is rather small and includes the wasserballspielfeld. A swimmupbar isn't available. On windy days was the pool crowded, so that it was impossible to find a beach chair. The beach is also a highlight-the ' lifeguards' dig holes in the sand from which they hehlerware remove and then tourists sell. This happened us, the next to our beach chair in the space of half a meters a lifegurad a hole of 1 meters! Deep aushob and us in the ditch his hindquarters face stretched. On demand he is stupid and it didn't bother it also not the we it with his work photographed.

    Unfortunately one of the last hotels of the peninsula, therefore to fill in always one of the first in the bus but on the way back mostly the last. It is a good hour longer in the bus as the guests, whose hotel at the start of the peninsula is.

It was a really wonderful vacation. The staff were very friendly. The food was very tasty and selection was very big and the, although one as a woman often very wälerrisch is. The us offered leisure offers were worth your money and we can only the helicopter to Trinidad recommend. read more

For Cuban standards very beautiful hotel. Not comparable with hotels on the round trip. Staff from the gardener until the waiter very nice. Although I reluctantly with the waiter on the election I seat discuss. But the rest well. Great beach. No battle for beach chairs. Great cocktails! All very tasty and always fresh. Evenings always live music. On the terrace for the food everything was always clean, which you from the restaurant itself can not say. Food is adequate and mostly tasty. The à la carte restaurant, except for the gourmet -restaurant not you recommend. Animation is OK. If ... you're not interested, you also left alone. Room nice and big with a walk-in closet and beautiful bath. Furniture partly a bit dated. The whole area is very well-kept. At some corners a few Wear phenomena but nothing dramatic. Gardens very nice. We had a great vacation in this hotel. If you to Cuba travels had to be clear that it is not comparable with four star hotels in Europa is. What you are as a tourist offered and made possible get, is for the Cuban people unthinkable and pure luxury. read more
