We had a splendid holiday. All efforts are made to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The hotel was beautiful, the staff lovely, the food excellent, the facilities very agreable. The only thing that can be improved is to install free WiFi in all area's. Special thanks to the Executive Chef, Gym Instructor Essam and Special Host Taher. We'll come back asap. read hotel review

Everything was wonderful, staff very friendly. Food was very good, my daughter has a glutenintoleranz, and it got a bit without gluten cooked every evening, i can only say great service, thanks to the whole staff, the hotel is perfect, beautiful. I had a room with sea view, i can only recommend. The hotel is an oasis of peace, was not full, because of the disturbances in agpyten, we have felt safe, no problem. read hotel review

Respectful, very friendly and kundiges staff in all areas. Kitchen very varied and always fresh great tasting food, and special wishes (allergies) knowledgeable and courteous are met. Holiday very recommendable. read hotel review

Very nice hotel with very attentive staff. The hotel is just approximately 10 minutes away from the airport. Very warm welcome in the hotel. Since the hotel was only about 10-20% was occupied, we were given a free upgrade from a gardenview room on a poolview room in 3. floor, thus we had also still lateral sea view. The room was clean, room service was 2 times a day, with free newspapers and evening small attentions. In addition there was daily 1.5 liters of water. Food in the main restaurant the olive good and varied. On the beach you ... got per person 2 towels and 2 times 0.5 liter of water free of charge. Guests of the Crowne Plaza next door to 50 Euro are charged, if the beach section of the intercontinental to use want! The reef is intact and very nice. There is the possibility of the pier of the Crowne Plaza the pier of the intercontinental to snorkelling. Whom the too far. Jetty intercontinental and then the direction of the harbor, there was an exit to the beach. To be highlighted at the hotel is the staff. It is courteous, knows the guests after a short time and goes on their desires. We will be on the next Egypt holiday choose this hotel again.     Really great reef from the beach and jetty, fish in the aquarium. The beach was also by the guests of the crown used to our time there were many italian and russian families there (... Noise level from and to as in a nursery). Service great but towels and water in cooler to the liege carried armir p. at the beach bar - always in a good mood and tried hard to please the guests In the port several restaurants (2) and cafes, many souvenir shops, a small grocery store... Prices like in Germany :-( Im'hinterland' somewhat behind the Village tower (tower) there were 2 restaurants and small supermarkets but almost only visited by the locals are. We have often in the abo Adam restaurant (we would bite say) inexpensive and good food. There are egyptian dishes but also french fries and noodle casserole. One can with the coco taxi back. In tweety were we do not eat (had it discovered too late).

Very nice hotel with gorgeous location on the red sea and reef for diving and snorkeling. Very well kept and clean rooms. Very pleasant was, that the hotel only half board and thus the sometimes unpleasant 'all inclusive mentality' was missing. Also entertainment was, with the exception of a few and short folklore shows in the evening declined, so more hotel - and not club atmosphere prevails. The guest structure was tended to be a bit older (50 +), but also families with kids and younger bath and guests were there. Wi-fi was only in the bar close to the ... lobby or for a fee you could rent. That should, i think that such a hotel actually to standard include. Very beautifully is also the close location (5 minutes walk) to the promenade in port ghalib with cafes and shops. On the one hand, pleasant, but also a shame was the very small extent of utilization - due to the current situation in Egypt. Against this background there would not have been surprised, if the staff a bit demotivated would have been. This was fortunately was not the case. On the contrary. It was a very attentive and continued efforts to guests noticeable. On the subject of security: we had at no time a uncertain feeling - not in the hotel, in the neighboring town.     We consistently had dinner in form of a buffet, but also depending on the booking a la carte possible. The food was ok and despite the small number of guests, sufficient varied. A mix of local and international cuisine. A bit annoying was sometimes, that one of the plate was almost 'under the fork was pulled away'. Very nice was also the pool restaurant, a beautiful view of the beach and sea. We stayed there a few times a snack for lunch. However there was the food less good and for the convenience clear too expensive.

    We were almost only at the beach and at the beautiful reef snorkelling, yet it is the really beautiful and tastefully landscaped pool area mention. We have unfortunately a bit cool and very windy week. Therefore the pool was mostly empty, because in many places there was very windy.     Distance to the airport about 10-15 minutes. Shops and restaurants are in the immediate vicinity (walking distance) in port ghalib. There also start the trip and tauchschiffe. We were there in the year 2013 three times in this great hotel - that says it all... It is exactly the same, as we have a good place to stay: elegant and exclusive environment, peace, friendliness, cleanliness, no entertainment, great reef and great possibilities for divers and snorkelers... We were thrilled and the only small negatives were: bad to no connection, not so very large selection at the buffet and that the reef is respected (no supervision, the destroyer zurückpfeift ) definitely the hotel is nothing for halligallis! read hotel review

The whole house and the grounds are very well kept, though a bit spooky tooth, as the occupancy only meagerly was. 'wi-fi for free' in the outlook bar, the name it is not for nothing, i found very pleasant. Unfortunately, there was from 23 hours no more service and around 24 hours the light off. The quality of the food was for my concerns as vegetarierin poor. No selection of alternative dishes. The theme buffets were almost consistently on the subject, it was actually always similar only with other taste. The service left a lot to be desired. The necessary ... ingredients for a tasty meal were obviously not available, it started already with the rice. I asked on, in the kitchen to teach, but understandably not taken seriously. The breakfast buffet was for a stay of more than three days also only for very non demanding guests. If for a scrambled eggs not even a parsley or similar available is, is at the tackiness of the eggs not even a scrambled eggs recommended. We were taken to beautiful materials we marble and granite blocks, what the hotel a majestic, tempelartigen framework gives. A shame, that there is no covered außensitzplatz has.     The rooms were clean and normal size, although a bit worn-out. Waschzimmertisch, which the room itself is, had 2 cracks.     The staff is very friendly and obliging but not know. The best english the lady from the 'guest relations', which also always very hard. The breakfast i wish from the staff more attention, which is a 5 * is. In the evening, the staff very helpful, friendly and humorous. Except for the 'star dinner' the tables were for a 5 star not adequate covered. The plastic table were with white always instead of tablecloths set up. It was missing the partly bread plates/knife. Unfortunately were some guests not to the dress code. So we could also in the evening still shorts and flip-flops admire. Probably the staff was marvelous, these guests on it to make attentive.

    Distance from the airport are about only 10 minutes to the shops and bars in port ghalib are only a few steps away. The hotel is located right at the entrance, so the ships (with divers) in the morning and in the evening again drive. This didn't bother us. You can still the reef along snorkelling. Unfortunately also here the corals already faded and partially dead. Just a shame, that the staff had no idea about water temperature does, let alone any tips can give. The beach is rather neglected. Under the umbrellas are cigarette butts and small plastic rum. We never saw anyone, with the rake to remove the beach, as in other hotels several times daily the case. Before 08,15 is no staff on the beach. Early risers like us, will stop their liege itself judge. Every day you got but fresh water in a cooler. This is a great service. One gets also daily per beach chair 2 fresh towels, which we personally a bit exaggerated find, whom the umweltschutzgedanken to be made a reality.

The hotel is perfect for a 1 week beach holiday. The beach swimming-pool-dinner. Here you can get away from it all. The current unrest in Egypt we have no excursions. Seldom so satisfied. One of the larger 5 * facilities with nice and attractive decor in the room. No visible defects, thorough cleaning and attentive care. There is free wi-fi in the lobby area. The catering with breakfast and half board finds (except sundays) in form of a buffet takes place. Daily changes the motto. Very pleasant, that no 'all inclusive' offered. Reduced the russian problem to a minimum. The guests are mostly in the upper ages to, but also the tauchermittelalter and infants are well mixed. read hotel review

    The rooms are big, good facilities, nice substances and pillows, very good condition. There is a mini bar, coffee maker, tv, internetzugangsmöglichkeit (lan) nummernsafe, bathrobes, the usual toiletries, and a quiet, controlled air conditioning. Shower, bath and toilet are always clean and glass doors separated from each other.

    The food was varied, tasty and in clean and sufficient quantity and form presented. That the local and regional flavour prevailed hold themselves i for completely normal. Cleanliness and hygiene were not a topic of discussion, always ok. There was always a pleasant atmosphere. The handling of the staff was always correct and the hotel pleasant. In order to avoid injustice, i think it is really tips as to ensure, that the people in the background will be able to benefit.

    There was not a single reason the friendliness of the staff to criticize. I think you already sometimes the problem, to reaffirm, that we really very good and you really nothing in addition can do around us have been happier to places. There was no complaints at all, there was no reason to nitty gritty to check availability. Special wishes are fulfilled immediately.

    I put no value on animation, which also not. The palace is a very quiet hotel with sometimes soft background music. That was it then already. From the neighboring hotel echos bad winds could wash algae ashore in the evening already times short animation music over. More not. At the beach there were enough beach chairs with large hut umbrellas, windbreaks and for guests towels with kühltaschenservice and 2 bottles of water. Very good! The beach chairs and umbrellas could be renovated once. Showers lack on the beach was unfortunately. Showers at the pool even with warm water. After the cool of the body after a long snorkel gear and cold wind very pleasant.

    Since the beach the reef is, the access via a pier was a bit problematic. A nice pool and don't forget the artificial lagoon and pool developed but all possibilities. The entrance to the port limits the beach additionally. As so often in Egypt missing the inhabited hinterland. Port ghalib is a considerable synthetic place in its now still small form and houses several small the usual shops the 'wunder bar' and a nice pizzeria. The 'palace' is right on the beach and is only 8 - minute walk from the town centre. As evening walk very recommendable!

We just returned from more another wonderful Holiday in the palace resort. Similar to my last recommendation, the service and facilities have been outstanding and it remains my favorite place to spend my vacation. The staff has an incredible ability to really make you feel 'at home' and treating you special. The safety in the port ghalib area and the resort was perfect and we never would be concerned about anything. The whole area is very quiet and nobody needs to be worried to travel here after all the news. Just the opposite, as everyone is hoping for guests to ... return and help The People and the area to become one of the most beautiful Holiday places again. There is no better place for snorkelling, diving and relaxing with it's fantastic house reef and the wonderful six senses spa (thanks to the six senses team for their relaxing treatments!) the Hotel staff went above and beyond to again make it our second home and we couldn't have wished for a more attentive and staff atmosphere. Special thanks to monsieur reissinger, mr. Ibrahim, mr. Hassan, ms. Omaima, ms. Dana, chefcook mrem. Emad, mr. Sherbini, mr. Adham, mr. Taher, mr.     Everything so, like one it wishes itself. We had consciously a room with seaview taken, and this was a complete success. The check-in we were alternatively amongst others also a suite at special rates offered-it could be worth it, on site at the check-in at the front desk to negotiate. The hotel is my knowledge 6 or 7-years-old, why you with very exact inspection or other body will find, which one complain about could. But which is it...!

    Breakfast and dinner the buffet-only sunday a 'star dinner' à la carte. A lot of fresh salads and freshly squeezed juice, and fruit each themed buffet. Particular emphasis should be on the indian buffet, because one of the chefs is indian and it seem special. The selection is adapted to the number of guests, but per food were always at least 8. main courses from local to european; always fish was also in the offer. Either in the dining room or on the terrace serves, everything spotlessly clean. Maybe this is the reason for this, that we are not at the usual 'revenge of pharaoh' suffered...     The re-filling of the minibar on the supply of towels at the pool and the beach to the service at breakfast and at dinner: in every aspect perfect! We had a small disturbance in the rooms, but from the guest relation in every aspect professional was taken care of. It was noticeable, that any effort, that the guests probably-feel. Every employees could a bit of english and was gladly a short koversation on 'hello' also willing.

    The long beach with enough umbrellas and wooden deck chairs with cushions is in three sections separated: left the crown -Plaza-beach, in the middle the intercontinental beach and right of blixia beach. In front of the intercontinental beach and the crown -Plaza-beach is the reef roof, not can be entered. As a result, there were two jetties from the crown -Plaza-beach and the intercontinental beach on the reef, from where ladders/steps into deep water. The reef is also ideal for snorkeling : almost every day turtles, lion fishs, bluespotted ribbontail rays, moray eels and all those fish, which one on the red sea expected.     The travel time to the airport is less than ten minutes. The hotel directly adjoined to port ghalib, where some shops, bars and restaurants there is. From here also start almost all the boats, the divers and snorkelers to the various reefs and bays bring. A wonderful luxury hotel, outstanding service and friendliness of the staff, wonderful reef. The hotel was only low booked, what beyond me in this situation, the price and the performance is. Often was almost alone at the very nicely laid out pool area. The food has by setting a competent manager clearly quality gained and much with the top restaurants fairs. The room was huge, luxuriously furnished and like the rest of the hotel very clean and in very good condition. The whole port ghalib is very nice walk, so that you not only in the hotel is. In addition ... the beautiful salt water lagoon and the recently-winning six senses spa. Besides the hotel offers many excursions and is always for questions, ideas or just a nice conversation about the country and its people ready. Conclusion: wonderful relaxation and for me the most beautiful hotel in the perimeter of 5 flight hours ☺ read hotel review

On the resort port ghalib is possible 2 hotels, that is the intercontinental palace the better choice, although not with all inclusive bookable. Close proximity to airport (absolutely no aircraft noise), the resort's small harbor for diving and excursion boats especially the well-kept beach with a still intact, large reef are the positive points. The reef is easily accessible via a jetty, or on the right side at the end of the beach with direct access to reach. Indeed, the right in front of the hotel the beach section for the passengers of the other hotel provided. Guests at the ... intercontinental but it is not prohibited, also there. But the mostly most guests under the umbrella in reserved part, the generous layout. Here, you could enjoy the proverbial service: the beach chairs with 2 large towels occupied and in the cooler are 2 bottles of water are provided. The care of guests through reception, guest relations or staff in the restaurant in every respect exemplary. This goes way beyond the usual also, what you from a badeferienhotel expect can. Not only asked about the well-being of the guest, but goes on individual desires and fix any defects will be charged. Interconti Port Ghalib has surprised with its nicely equiped and designed rooms, very nice and friendly service with good english language skills and the buffet for half board is very tasty.
