As a single person i have a week in this hotel spent. It was pure relaxation, from a to z everything was correct. I felt good all round. No crying children, no stretcher, only pleasant and friendly people. What the hotel especially benefits is the excellent cuisine, the cleanliness, the comfortable atmosphere, as well as the hotel's top-beach. read more

A five star hotel, a not everyday service offers. With a 2. Stay is an up-grading in a 45 meters² luxury suite with a view of the sea and jacuzzi respectively Hamam Bath. There are 5 restaurants from the gourmet temple ( Dionysoss ) to regional cretan restaurant ( Kafenion). With the Argonaut offer you Italian speciaties ( the restaurant manager here is however less recommendable, as he too few on the wishes its guests deals), the blue lagoon can also Polynesian specialties and sushi variations to be ordered. This à la carte restaurant have a great service and a ... good kitchen. There are 3 further bars and a saltwater pool. The beach with a view of the Mirabello bay is perfect', free beach chairs are abundant. The service already started with the pick-up at the airport in Heraklion ( free luggage transport with limousine service and express check in respectively latest check out complement facilities. read more

Bathroom outdated. No Magnifying mirror, carpet with stains. The outdoor area is very nice, the view of the bay is amazing. We recovered very well, the excursion with the catamaran we can recommend, costs 50,00 Euro for 3 hours. read more

The hotel lies beautiful in the bay of elounda with a view of the archipelago of spinalonga. The hotel, with outbuildings and villas is located in a beautiful park right next to the sea. The hotel is clean and well maintained. You can choose overnight stay with breakfast and half board choose. The prices for the food were very upscale.     We had a island suite on the water' s edge with about 50 square meters with a large terrace on the sea. This was with a couch, table, 2 chairs and 2 very comfortable lounge chairs stocked. A dream! The room was on the first floor and a staircase led to our private loungers with direct entrance to the sea. Really paradise. The room as well as the bathroom were very spacious. The bathroom had shower, steam bath, bath tub, separate toilet. Room with a TV ( German programs), Stereo complex, mini bar, spacious closets eTC. All great!

    There are 5 restaurants and 2 bars. The quality of the dishes in the buffet restaurant 'Artemis', where also the breakfast served, here was rather on the level of a normal four star hotels. The kafenion (Greek), Argonaut (Italian) and blue lagoon (Polynesian with sushi) offer good quality. We had 'dine-around', so that we evenings the restaurant has an à la carte and the food without extra charge pick out could. The prices for the food are very expensive. Appetizer 20 euros,- main course €28- 40 euros, and dessert €15, -. However costs also half board per person 75 euros,-. In our opinion tunes here the value for money not. The prices for wines are OK ( starting at € 25 upward) and with the hotel category. All pub are very tastefully decorated, and we have always the atmosphere enjoyed.

    The complete staff was always friendly and very helpful, however for a ' leading hotel of the World' and the corresponding level of the price for the food to neglectful. It passed anytime again small mistake, as for example the Büfettabendessen in the restaurant ARTEMIS was already' cold' soup brought immediately, although we have previously asked, the appetizers of the buffet to take. The soup was but also not withdrawn. In the restaurant blue lagoon, the staff were not stressfähig. In the restaurant 'Argonaut' (Italian), 'coffee shops' (Greek) and in the ' Veghera bar' we were very satisfied. The cleaning of the rooms is OK.

    The hotel's own beach was very nicely arranged. Also all water sports. However the very upscale price. On the hotel area there is a kiosk with magazines, cigarettes, etc. And several shops jewelry, Fur, etc. The resort features an very nice, large salt water swimming pool ( approximately 30 meters Length) and everything was neat and clean. As already mentioned, the sea is never far away.

    The resort is about 70 kilometers away from the airport (driving 1 hour). A rental car is nevertheless highly recommendable. The hotel is situated right at the sea. Whether you have a normal hotel room or about a suite or villa with direct access to the sea, the sea is always present. There is a small, well-kept beach, by all guests of the hotel can be used. The view of the see and the Bay of elounda is beautiful! The hotel lies about 2 kilometers away from the small village of elounda (a good half hour on foot) and 15 minutes by car of Agios Nicolaus. Here there are numerous options for shopping and lots of restaurants. Also all possibilities for excursions are here.

We booked a villa with pool. Guests were welcomed with Coke and water from the menue, the carpet near the front desk had traces of smokers. The garden and patio furniture need renovation urgently. Not enough fruit and water is provided. The staff members are trained moderately. Vespas are used by the staff for means of locomotion within the hotel complex. Partly rude and discourteous behavior of the staff members. The breakfast buffet is boring and without a concept. The staff members in the restaurants and bars are very friendly, courteous and interested. read more

Makes a good and not a stale impression. A relatively large complex, it takes about 45 minutes to walk around it. Since the guests scatter all over the vast area, you will always find a quiet place if you want to be alone. The garden is almost a paradisiac, only right behind the fence the "regular" Crete begins, with the trash problems and the rather barren and cutover mountain landscape. However, on the hotel grounds not a piece of trash or other debris could be found. The breakfast buffet was served in the Artemis Restaurant. The selection of fresh, ripe ... fruit and vegetables was very large. There were also various sorts of pickled olives. Otherwise, the usual large breakfast buffet as known in any other hotel. At a high and fresh level. Especially the dessert corner with several small pies, puddings and pastries was convincing. Regarding the guest structure, all nationalities are present, which I personally think to be great, as this offers the opportunity to meet with other cultures. (In order to speak German, I can stay at home). The average age of 30 plus results from the fact that in order to stay here, you need to have a certain amount of money. Mostly couples or families with very well-behaved children, or toddlers who cannot help their behavior. read more

    The hotel room was accurate to the description on the hotel homepage. The furniture seems to be right before the stage of appearing to be worn out, but due to the fact that the cleaning staff comes by twice a day, I could rarely find any dust from the air conditioner.

    There are several restaurants. There is the Artemis (breakfast and dinner), the Dionysos (French-Mediterranean), the Argonaut (Italian specialties), the Blue Lagoon (Polynesian and Sushi), the Thalassa (gourmet seafood, Mediterranean cuisine) and last but not least the Kafenion (fresh homemade Greek cuisine). All of them cook with the best, fresh ingredients. They have a very good wine selection, the people at the neighboring table told me so, but since I myself do not drink alcohol, I cannot judge. But they also have water in a lot of varieties, with or without gas and also of different brands. It is compulsory everywhere to wear at least good clothes, in the "better" restaurants even shirts are desired (which I personally think to be good). The atmosphere could not be better. Imagine, seeing from the restaurant terrace the beach and ocean. And with a cloudless sky, the moon reflection on the surf and the ocean. Accompanied by live piano music ... fantastic! Regarding the quality of the food, the prices are ok! That means, it can easily cost you more than 100 euros for an appetizer, main course and dessert. Plus drinks such as 1 liter still mineral water for 3.50 euros.

    All the staff members of the hotel, from the receptionists, waiters to the cleaning staff, are very friendly, well trained in dealing with the guests, and all spoke at least English. Some even spoke German, which I did not want them to in my presence. The room cleaning came by twice a day. They made the bed each time and also roughly wiped the entire room. The bathroom of course as well. Actually, I had no complaints at this hotel. Question or requests I had, either via the telephone or directly at the reception, were answered immediately, help was provided, and other wishes were also fulfilled.

    There is a water sports club directly on the beach with various offers such as water skiing and jet skiing. There are also divers hotel owned shops. The beach, as I said, is located excellently and free of any debris. The water was clear and clean. The beach staff is present immediately when you arrive at the beach, moving the sun loungers, spreading new pads and setting up the parasol. Another hand signal, and the waiter comes by and brings drinks and coffee as well as pastries (it cost of course, but is simply charged to the room). In any case, the staff is always in the background watching the guests, aticipating if anyone has a wish. But I did not feel bothered or pressured by their presence at any time.

    The hotel is located at the Mirabello Bay at Elounda! With a unique view of the Island Spinolonga, and with a partial view of the "Lepra Island" Spinolonga-Kalidon. With 500 meter high mountains behind you, you lay at the hotel's private beach, enjoying the view of the wide ocean, which is partially blocked by the islands. In my opinion, the beach is a natural fine sandy beach, with shells and small stones of all sizes. Elounda, the nearest town, is about a 15 minutes walk away. There are very inexpensive shopping possibilities (supermarket), as well as several souvenir shops. Other touristic services are offered there as well, for example the ferry ride to "Lepra Island".

Great hotel but tremendous additional costs. Really something to pamper yourself with!!! The complex is in a very good condition, but there is no basis for the additional costs. They seem to swim on the wave of the top 100. read more

We wanted to make use of the spa and water sports offers and were amazed regarding the absolutely exaggerated and outrageous (!) prices. A massage 150 euros for 50 minutes, speedboat 1000 euros for 4 hours (in Croatia I rent a boat for that price for 1 week!), jet skiing 15 minutes for 50 euros, a drink 14 euros, 1 small beer 8 euros, 1 glass of wine 14 euros (wrong temperature), 1 bottle of Merlot about 50 euros, and so on. Our conclusion: this hotel is recommendable for people who can - or want to - spend a lot ... of the money for drinks, spa, water sports. As I live in Munich, I am really used to high prices, but even in Europe's largest thermal baths, the thermal baths in Erding, wellness is 10 times better and the price is only one third of the price in this hotel! The staff is friendly throughout and the hotel complex is great! The pool was not crowded in October, which was nice, as it was like staying at your private pool. Beach chairs with covers were provided immediately by the attentive pool attendants, partly even at the private beach cove. The breakfast buffet was very good, plenty of choice, the dishes of the dinner buffet were not seasoned very well (my wife cooks better). Spare time activities are offered, but as I mentioned, absolutely unaffordable (at least for me with a gross annual income of 125000 euros). Conclusion: Dear hotel manager, divide all the prices in half, and you will still make more profit. We were eating out all the time (nice greek tavernas) and rather left our money there, and in the evenings, in the hotel, we were only drinking bottled water for 5,30 euros. Too bad. read more

Staff, (with the exception of front desk) is characterized by stiff, impersonal manners. We found was a drawback accept this on the part of the staff of 6Eur conduct of some Russian drunk guests at noon without even a twinge on maintaining those other guests should be noted ( example: Via cell phone was playing Russian hip hop in ungeziemlicher volume in the Greek restaurant tolerated). This destroyed the picture of a good hotel and does not expectet level of a house this category. read more
