We traveled with a rental car and there was also the first problem: there is anywhere access to onsite parking ($19 /day), it's only or remove from bell boy. There is a public car park nearby in the Avenue Laurier ($14 /day). So we had to go far to the hotel with all our luggage. The hotel itself is everything angled with lots of steps and no elevator (heavy luggage in an unpratical way). We had a small double room with view of the "backyard/trash". It is predominantly quiet (city center), but the room and the hallway have already unpleasant ... signs of usage (cracks on the Wandpanele, ceiling). The bathroom has no mold, but it has dusty and smells unpleasant. The furniture has indeed also its signs of usage is but clean and functional. The bed is a bit short and narrow, but otherwise okay. TV and W-LAN work without problems. Breakfast would be here still possible (9 dollars per person), but we preferred Cosmos Cafe right in the neighborhood. Good value for money. All in all the hotel Chateau Grande Allee suitable for short stays in connection with sightseeing, but not in the holiday mood. read more

Wonderful old and nicely renovated hotel, but breakfast room in the basement and bad sound insulation. Plenty of nice restaurants and shops within walking distance. Wonderful, almost magical evening lighting overall. read more
