Asteroid, a 5-story hotel is a beautiful round courtyard with fountains and interior elevators to the ivy berankten floors.
Everything, room, corridors and common areas very spacious and clean.
Unfortunately, during our stay always a elevator broken, annoying.

The hotel is ok however:
In the 2. week was the very small beach through large earthmovers completely unusable. There were dust and noise. Also washed the flood stones the construction site into the sea and one could also on the still intact strandbarfuss not into the water go. read more

We have been the 2. time in the Melia Varadero and... Perfect. Have honest in the country, the people and the hotel in love. We filegen in march 2013 just go back, we would love at the entire year stay. Great, great, great. And the misery, the this hotel (despite the a or other renovation work during the day!) A bad review give, they should stay at home, because you not at all know, what good relaxing vacation is! Honest people, go! read more

Our best vacation to date.
Hotel very big and clean
Fantastic beach and a very large pool with a bar and plenty of loungers
Food was very diverse and optically very good in scene set.
Staff was very friendly and attentive, except for a few exceptions.
Room very spacious and bright.

I can recommend the hotel, only the sandy beach missing.
But you can the Melia las Americas, which is next door, used.
The rooms were okay and the food left nothing to be desired.

Since my best friend and I have in January 2011 in the Melia Varadero vacation made, we decided-after a let down with the vacation in Egypt in October 2011 - again the Melia Varadero to book and are still enthusiastic!
The hotel is very clean, no matter in which area you can relax and with the staff we have always only positive experiences -be it at the front desk ( there one speaks partly also German ), in the restaurant, by the pool or with the maids.
The food was 2012 a lot varied as 2011, therefore, you could say ..., that the hotel management probably very anxious is its guests and also to review deals.
The beach is located right on the hotel and is of the pool from within easy reach.
A small shopping center is located also right near the hotel and is both from the street from, as well as over the beach reachable.
On the entertainment program unfortunately I cannot say anything, since we evenings always the hotel left. Other guests told us but, that it is from evening agenda were.
Overall a great hotel. We are so pleased with it, that it in September directly again to the Melia Varadero is-) read more

The aged is overall on the ocean side no beautiful view more. The staff, I think the waiters or barkeeper take care, for a tip them a pace. In the listless chefs I can be no hair, the food is mostly lukewarm up until cold furthermore without any taste., here we were extremely keen. The buffet is ancient Porcelain prepared, here you get the appetite passes. So, now the positive.
the desserts buffet is reasonable, here everyone could find something you liked, fruit, cheese, sausage, cakes and so on the drinks Bottles of wine, beer etc. are perfect. The pool ... area are spacious with many new beach chairs, as well as the beach is very clean with a lot animation. read more

the hotel is quite large and the building as a star constructed, which middle a very nicely laid out Halle is. On the ground floor is business, the front desk and the 2 restaurants as well as the internet cafe. In the 5 floors are the rooms distributed. Outside then still 2 restaurants and the pool area and the pool bar. In addition there is a stairway access to the beach. The complex is very well maintained. We had a room on the fourth floor, which was clean and in good condition was. During our stay was the second floor ... and an area nearby the pool area renovated. We felt however never disturbed by the noise. (we were however also on excursions and thus seldom around the clock in the hotel).
the structure of the guests was very mixed: Canadians and Russians the largest part of. German were hardly represented.
we had with all inclusive booked. The food was very tasty and something there for every taste: Prawns, rice, chicken, pasta, different vegetables.! Solely the rolls were sometimes a bit hard and not always so delicious. Was but also still croissants and baguette as an alternative. read more

The Melia is in the meantime 20 years old and despite the renovations you can see that everywhere. We were only on the first floor in an old renovated rooms not far from noisy renovation work. After we at the front desk requested a room change, we got it without problems. The new room was renovated and in a much better condition, even if the level of cleanliness in a German hotel room not been achieved. The beach was really nice and you could swim in the sea. Of other holiday-makers was the neighboring Melia las Americas recommended, which in ... the same beach section if it really is. Better we do not know. Awkward was also the reservation of the La carte restaurants, because every time you had to wait in a blast, socialism lets greet ☺ we can recommend the steak house and the restaurant Fuerteventura. read more

Very good value for money with great beach (no reservation of the pool chairs with towels necessary!). Staff at FTI care and front desk super friendly and around the well-being of the guest endeavors. Shopping center right around the corner. Specialty restaurants' mexicana 'and' Fuerteventura' very recommendableSince the hotel. Somewhat older part of the hotel-it didn't bother us. read more

An older hotel, that to be incredibly dark, and it is precisely because of the often described in the catalog tenders close overgrown hall. I was given a room on arrival, that directly on the site, though other rooms were quite quiet former wings. A change of rooms was then, but it seemed ..., as if it was rather annoying, need to be taken care of. Advantage is the immediate next door to the 'shopping mall' including bank and restaurants. The beach is beautiful, situated in a bay. So if long walks on the beach sets, should have other beach section select. No outdoor area in the main restaurant, so that one is forced in the Caribbean area, in a large dining room to sit. A shame. In my opinion this hotel is nothing for those with high demands, even if it is four or 4, five star hotel is recognized. read more

A nice hotel with a great location right on the beach, but unfortunately I have is the food at the hotel are not recommended-it was too monotonous and tasteless. Also, the hygiene (dirty towels and sheets) were poor. Very nice are the waiters in the restaurant, volt if you from and to give a tip leaves. Cuba is well worth a visit, but an objective is sufficient perfectly. read more

The food at the buffet was very bad! I would advise everyone to go there for the whole vacation to reserve the restaurants the food was good! On the first day our shower did not work. then I complained! The people were very helpful and there was someone reperaieren. thereafter for the shower was fine but the bathroom was flooded, because the drain didn't work. so once and then everything was okay! Stayed at the buffet once was spaghetti with parmesan cheese but then never again since the Parmesan cheese mold in it! So, as I said, the restaurants but ... right on the first day because they were very fast! The pool was great and the beach was right at the hotel so that was really great! So the feel-good factor in our room had missing it was partly very disgusting! The room of our friends was okay! So all in all, the hotel area was very nice but the hotel itself needs to be renovated again! read more

There is always and everywhere people who moan have. Cuba is Karibik relaxation. The ordinary people, but friendly, not only if you tip. You are very hard, the guest is king and most manage this. The hotel, the location and the staff are great. We were 2010, 2011 with trip and then in this hotel again. Drive 2013 in may again there and look forward already. read more
