We were this year -i think-the 4. time in the hotel Ciao.
Unfortunately is Poalo not more in the hotel -, whether it again next year is, we couldn't say.
As the years before we were completely satisfied, that Paolo is no longer here, you however at details notice:
There was no welcome cocktail
The Empfangsschild at the door with 'welcome with name' was not more
On my request by e-mail, I got within 24 hours no answer, after the booking was very short term, I had my booking request via telephone repeated (with Paolo I could to 100% sure ..., within maximum 12 hours a reply-if it took so long for.)
But as mentioned, they are details, a regular crumb - apart from that everything was to our satisfaction.
The room was clean, at the balcony was not even a sheet to find, the air conditioning worked perfect, the breakfast as always very delicious, diverse and the quality was very, very good.
We will the hotel Ciao certainly visit again and we would be very, Paolo in the hotel again Ciao to welcome you. You have us was missing, Paolo!
At the end I would like to still mention, that his brother also very friendly-there was missing were just the usual Paolo with its small attentions-) read more

It was already my fourth visit in the hotel Ciao and also this was again excellent. From the check-in until the departure we were completely satisfied. Breakfast is very plentiful and also very good. From ham and eggs to the fresh fruit everything available. The rooms are big and clean. The staff around boss Aldo very friendly and skilled. Right at the beginning of our stay we were from the friendly hotel owner with a welcome drink welcome.
Already the first impression was for us very positive.
The rooms are very friendly decorated. All have an airco, some of them have a balcony. It is a safe in the room available. Wi-Fi there are also.
Every day are the rooms by the employees cleaned, the beds and according to demand sucked and the towels replaced.
The breakfast is very good: everyone comes on its taste. Lots of things there are lovingly prepared.
The beautiful is, that in the price ... bicycles, w-LAN and about 300 meters from the hotel at the beach each 2 chairs with a sun screen with included are.
There is many beautiful evenings together with other hotel guests, as well as the hotel owner respectively the staff below at the bar.
The staff altogether is very friendly and skilled. Different languages like for instance German, English and Italian. If you as a tourist have a question, everything is possible possible the particular Question to answer.
I enjoyed my second stay very enjoyed and can recommend anyone recommend this hotel and will also next year there spend my holiday. It was a vacation the heart is! read more

Great breakfast, nice staff with good German skills, clean rooms including air-conditioning, short walk to the beach, as well as the pedestrian area and restaurants. The hotel is situated in a popular tourist destination, hotel after Hotel. The hotel is in good condition. Because of the rave reviews here we were however something disappointed.
Great-the staff-super friendly, courteous, good German knowledge. So we have some valuable tip. The family atmosphere in the hotel was very pleasant! The reception was very welcoming. The motorcycle parking for free in the courtyard.
Bicycles are free from the hotel. Beach, restaurants and shopping in two minutes walk.
Cleanliness was OK for a Southern country.
Not as good as I expected: our room was really tiny. The decor is very ... simple, partly worn. The floor coverings have your best time behind itself. The tv in the closet was tiny, the Channel selection limited.
The acclaimed breakfast was standard fair and well, just not as good as expected. twice time was the fruit salad fermented.
All in all: a recommendable hotel with a pleasant atmosphere and good food. Not more or less.
We were enthusiastic, it would not have been so highly praised, that our expectations were so hike.
We love to stay there again.
A warning, the hotel Ciao to do:
The restaurant 'la rustica' should be very careful nearby German-speaking tourists, so that it is not a rip off like we are! The staff didn't speak German, rude, pushy (annoyed, as you rental car, without perfect Italian to travel.), the price are not in German-we have learned there, that the word 'per 100 grams cornetto' means. A very expensive flop, seems to have the methodology. So were German-speaking guests just slipped inside. read more

Heike led me again after my vacation time in the hotel Ciao Lignano. I would not be able to make a better choice. A very nice small hotel, as the family management & the perfect! super price performance ratio! Quiet, informally run, clean and overall the efforts to every guest were top. The hotel has 25 rooms main building and further apartments in the neighboring building. The guests were mixed: both families, young couples, as well as traveling alone; too many from Austria, Germany, but also Italy and England.

The owners are extremely hard us be staff, all desires of the guests to meet, they are all very friendly. So you can feel really as a guest.
Culinary the hotel offers a breakfast buffet, from which some four to 5 star hotel something abschauhen can.
Quality and quantity of the food was absolutely top!
We had an apartment about 20 meters away from the main building, two room with kitchen, air conditioning, balcony/terrace, very nice and clean!
Wireless LAN free trolley, complete the offer from bicycle rental.
Further is the hotel also very dog friendly! ...

Italy from its best side, Paolo is the best Ambassador of their country. There was always good recommendations for day trips, restaurants and so on. events tickets for the train and for the bus was done everything of Paolo, simply super service all around. The stay with our 1 year old son despite schlechem weather we enjoyed. If you want a nice simple hotel with great service and extra great breakfast buffet, this is the place. The rooms are simple but clean and everything you needed. As soon as you went for breakfast, the rooms are lightning fast and cleaned to a high standard. The owner has a dry humor and is very friendly. Especially our son was the small playground with the Kinderhäuschen! read more

The hotel is very centrally located. It is only a few minutes away from the beach and the city center is it also only very few minutes and the nearest restaurant is very close and good. I have stayed in Lignano a father/son vacation, the location of the hotel was ideal, both for the short distance to the beach, as well as for all kinds of excursions, if you want to take the bus to Venice or by bike to the Gulliverland or to the Aqua park. Paolo is the soul of this charming house with wonderful sarkastischem humor and care for his guests. For the well-being of the children are taken care of, the breakfast buffet is more than ample. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Bikes to rent are abundantly available, the beach ... is reachable in no time. We will definitely go back there again. read more

We have come every year to the Ciao. We find it quite cozy. Paolo always had an open ear and he does everything possible. The rooms are spotless and cleaned quickly and also the breakfast left no wishes open, so there wasn't a buffet in Lignano. The Strandmaterial were included too, and so had everything that you need. The bikes were again in a good condition. You can leave the car without worries. There were enough entertainment for everyone. Paolo can offer advice on the region etc. read more

A small, familial hotel with a very good chef. Paolo is always there and answers any questions or requests! The rooms are very clean, daily towel change!
The breakfast buffet is extremely large and delicious. Air conditioning is included in the price.
Every day you get the daily newspaper (from Austria and Germany) and there is a children's play area, close to the breakfast area!
As we arrived at the hotel early Paolo invited us for breakfast!
We especially liked the personal welcome note on the door and our child loved the balloons on his bed. read more

We stayed for a short stay in June in Lignano trying to get an economical hotel. We booked this hotel because of the good reviews on HolidayCheck. I am delighted that us everything we expected. We were especially greeted at check-in Paolo greeting at the front desk. Because we were early, we were immediately invited on a breakfast. In our room, we were really nice fruit basket on the door and a welcome amenity to every one of us. Paolo has always been very friendly and helpful, for everything advice. Our room in the annex was simply furnished, but absolutely ... clean. The towels were changed every day. A special mention is that Children up to 8,9 years in parents room free stay. Where there's find that in Italy? The breakfast was just the best. Everything was delicious and in a Affluence, as always in a 4 star hotel. such, this fruit, pancakes, cakes high 10, bacon, eggs We personally breakfast on the covered, but open terrace. I really had a nice atmosphere - that free. Yes, the walk to the beach is about 400 m far, but also amusing, because the supermarket, newsstand, to the ice cream parlor, and Obstgeschäft dropping at Hähnchenbrater On the beach are free lying beds and an umbrella. The hotel Ciao is a cute little hotel in Lignano Sabbiadoro. The chef, Paolo, they speak better German than make an Austrian/German itself and always helped wherever he could. On the day of departure we asked if we could use our allocated sunbeds at the beach and that was ( no extra charge), no problem! The breakfast buffet was plentiful and set it ranged from cereal, cheese ..., ham, antipasti to homemade cake and fresh fruit. Only the coffee machine was hard to understand, but after a short introduction can also nothing could go wrong. The rooms are very basic, but you are usually spends most of the time at the beach or in the beach bar "Gabbiano", the Aperol aperitif Sprizz here tasted especially good! The way to the beach was about 300 m long, but on the straight road this was not strenuous. In fact the hotel free bikes and to the beach.
