    Rooms modern and comfortable. Size sufficiently however not excessive. No drawers or shelves outside the cabinet, with things store to may. Tv: yes, balcony: yes, ac: yes, minibar: yes, telephone: yes. Big plus: free safety deposit box! Bathroom: well equipped.

    Restaurant on the ground floor with ocean view: nice! Pool bar, evening bar right next to it. Everything was in order. Breakfast: the usual hotelmix in southern countries. But: time grain coffee and no automatenplörre! Dinner varied. Soup, salad buffet, dessert always great. Main courses sometimes took some getting used to, or too little selection, but sometimes also great and varied. Cleanliness in the restaurant: top!

    No animation in the january. One evening the for Madeira usual folkshow with a dance group. Pool: nicely arranged but unfortunately not usable, since freezing. Beach chairs: at january sufficiently, safe in the summer, too few. Umbrellas not available, should even in winter for sensitive skin types, but available.

    Right on the beach. (rocky beach, strong surf, water shoes advisable, not too attractive.) Airport in view and earshot. (i personally didn't bother us, since little air traffic.) Shopping: 0, night life: 0, some restaurants and lunches in the vicinity, not very attractive. Santa Cruz even a sleepy place, where is nothing to do. Hardly any infrastructure for tourists. Hotel lies in the middle in the place, therefore noise from yappy type dogs or similar.

It is a very nice hotel in a good quiet location in a small, nice fishing village. It was just as good as we imagined it. The staff was incredibly helpful, friendly and courteous. Two very small restriction there was: before new year's eve, the hotel was incredibly full and unfortunately also the meals/drinks and the service was a bit deteriorated. And there was absolutely no entertainment or entertainment. That was somewhat unfortunate. All in all a really recommendable hotel. read hotel review

If you are not the whole day in the hotel, but the island, is certainly well cared for. The short way from the airport and the direct location at the ocean were crucial for us. The rooms are clean and tidy and with the catalog description. We had only booked with breakfast. There was everything you need, but really each day the same. In the restaurant could the cleanliness be improved, at first glance it's ok, but with the place mats or under the tables needed to be cleaned better. In the center (5 minutes walk), there are small restaurants ..., in which one well and favorably and traditional food. Our recommendation is the bistro right from the church, across the bank! The shuttle bus from the hotel is a fine thing, but you should reserve ahead. Alternatively runs in the immediate vicinity of the Sam-bus and you can get the whole day for €2.70 per person after Funchal and still the surrounding area. Einkaufstechnisch the place is not so well stocked, but just across the street from the hotel there is a small liquor store with plenty of choice and at normal prices. We have our rented car directly at the airport (either with the taxi for about €7.00 drive or small walk there, takes 20 minutes). The airplanes did we absolutely didn't bother us, on the contrary, it was even quite exciting and sleep was no air traffic more! For a future hike we would book this hotel again. read hotel review

    The room was well appointed, it was cleaned every day and had everything you need (even a bathtub), safe and the beds were in our opinion very comfortable. We had a partial view of the ocean to the airport, the aircraft noise but it didn't bother us (although some machines at night and early in the morning or land)

We were very satisfied. Wireless internet connection very bad. Outdoor pool unfortunately not heated and no service at the pool. Transfer to Funchal daily free, absolutely great! Breakfast buffet after a few days but unfortunately not diverse. read hotel review

For the 2. time i have the spring holiday here and have wonderful days spent. Rental car right at the nearby airport (avis via car europe, 10 days, laguna, diesel 165 €) to the reception. Guest parking at the hotel in white selected areas free of charge. Great excursions-next to the well-known routes this time the newly opened walfangmuseum of b. visited - really recommendable, also with children! The hotel itself did not change, unfortunately are the prices for the use of the fitnessklubs /sauna/schwimmbad massively increased - per day 11 Euro. The night in the hotel with half board ... cost with schauinsland (catalog, no last minute) in the double rooms for single use only 52 Euro. This price is available in no relation. The internet (wlan) did not work at all. For a good 4 stars hotel this category an absolute no-go. The technical staff was endeavored, but because of the central provider of total group during the ten days no remedy. The room (got a upgrade with fantastic sea views for all 4 traveling companions) was great. The staff is, as all people Madeira, a large cordiality and hospitality style. Were 1 week in march since. Everything was great, unfortunately, there was the pool very cold (not heated). The sea also still too cold. So for swimming impossible, wanted one no cold get. A shame, since the sun it good with us said. Total stay was satisfactory. No special hihlights, no particular negative experiences. We had a great, relaxing and relaxed days-whoever complained, has your own fault! The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating! Madeira is a great island, the you from here explore. For longer trips recommends a car, the immediate area can one super with the public transport links explore! Great is the free hotel shuttle to Funchal! And in the evening, you always in the peaceful, almost original Santa Cruz back. Delicious fruit you get in the market-or salesman who brought laid out in the morning and in the evening at the buffet - brilliant! Close proximity to airport is more ... convenient than annoying-and finally parties landing planes don't spend hours on the hotel. We will definitely come back again! The hotel is in the general in clean and modern condition. The approximately 230 rooms are u-shaped arranged and in the middle is a pool. A garden or similar to stay a while you will not find here before. It were many british people and german in this hotel and a few locals. The most of the guests had half board. We had all-inclusive.     The rooms are in sufficient size with a balcony. The air conditioning fulfilled its purpose. The mini bar is for a fee filled. On tv were enough channels available. The safe can with a own pin and without a fee. The bathroom is large with a bathtub, modern sink, toilet and bidet.

    The hotel has a main dining room, in the breakfast, lunch and dinner in buffet form offered. Between the meals there is a bar coffee from a coffee machine and various drinks alkohlisch and soft drinks, and water, and mineral water. Who a bottle of water this bar for example for the pool wanted, it was pointed out, that you only in the main restaurant gets. Small snacks, such as sandwiches and ice cream were offered. However are the prices for the baguettes with about 5 €for the half board guests just overpriced. For all inclusive-guests but these were included in the price. Only a few ice cream had with all inclusive paid. In this bar were maximum 3 tables with about 10 chairs available, which on rainy days was annoying. By the pool there were also a few tables. Here only rarely cleared. Most of the tourists brought for this reason the dishes like in a fastfood restaurant at the bar. In the evening from 18 o'clock another bar open, in which you from time to time a shallow entertainment from live music or also typically portuguese dance offered got. The worst in this hotel the food was. We only ate breakfast here and to evening ate. There was almost every day the same to food. As we both no schweinefleisch eat, the selection was, which are not big, nearly already catastrophic. Daily (Holland) cucumbers and tomatoes completely without any taste, fruit cocktail, the tasted like from Aldi from the can, daily white beans in tomato sauce, vegetables, the not was and unseasoned, fillets, from the tiefkühlpackung similar tastes, scalloped tomatoes, the taste only through the cheese got, duck, the inside nor bloodily was, eggs, partially from the day before were inside and sage-green. If i would have known, that it on Madeira special fish and fruits like anywhere else in the world gives, in this hotel i would have not noticed, because the dishes were not better than at any x-arbitrary roadhouse at the a7. We were also a few fresh dishes as, such as salad and carrots, cut melons, oranges and pineapple. The offered dessert was alright. Also here could of service not the question, who is consulting had and its space back came, found the used plates still. One had to often only a waiter call, so you 'exempt' was. Who late to eat came, had some days unfortunately the bad luck, the plates that just everybody was or some food just not available were. After strongly complained about this, the however a bit better. The waiters same are very friendly, work but rather in the background and not there, where you have just asked were. The hotel is due to the direct location at the airport when flugausfällen busy. Then the food better, but then the staff completely overstrained.

    The staff is friendly, but not very attentive. With english one comes here wonderfully clear, some could even speak a little german. Housekeeping was okay. During our stay however in the room not vacuumed and as well as not at all dusted, the bathroom but it was always cleaned very well.

    In the lower area there is a fitness centre with modern clean appliances, in which you good can work up a sweat. Behind it there is a heated indoor pool with a sauna and steam room, and a spa for massages. If you want to get, must no matter wether all-inclusive or not normally 11 € per day pay an entrance fee. As the jacuzzi did not work and probably, because was low season, we needed per person only 5 € pay and can a rainy day good heatwave (includes towels, a locker and a swimming cap). Internet access in the hotel for a fee, half an hour costs for example 2 Euro. It is better here the church or a restaurant or cafe to go, because almost everywhere wi-fi zones, the free access to the internet provide. However the internet entrance is about the hotel much faster. The outdoor pool is clean and there are some chairs and sunscreens available.

    A beach is without a car or bus difficult to reach, but in about 5 kilometer distance. The hotel itself located right next to the promenade of Santa Cruz. On this you can in not even 5 minutes the docks into the sea reach. The airport is located in the immediate vicinity and view, or hearing. What the shuttle to the hotel (circa 10 minutes) yes really practical is, but loud and very annoying out, if you are in the room with a view of the sea or by the pool is. Starts or land a plane, you can have your own word did not understand. In the immediate hotel area there are several small shops, nice cafes, bakeries and a larger market hall, in which you souvenirs, fruit and vegetables, and fish can buy. A somewhat larger supermarket is on foot in 5 minutes. Depending are here but the shelves not even half-filled. Mineral water for example was just sold and things, the 'urgent' needs, like for instance a toothbrush were with about 4 €totally overpriced. Here you should go to the next city to Funchal avoid. The hotel offers a transfer to Funchal 4 times per day at, the free after reservation use.

The hotel is situated in a very cute and well-kept town with easy access to Funchal. Santa Cruz has a nice promenade with well kept gardens and a playground. In the direct vicinity of the hotel are located in the town center various bars and restaurants, in which you can eat very well, if you from the unilateral dinner in the hotel enough has. The buffet in the evening at villa gale quite small, little varied and rather poor quality. The salad buffet is merely from field salad, gherkins, Carrots and tomatoes, as well as from changing Mischsalaten, in which ... you could get the rest of the food of the leftovers from RN. The warm buffet is standardsiert on fries, pasta and rice. In addition there was soup, lukewarm meat or fish with vegetables. Sauces to pasta or rice in vain. Merely the typical ibizan buffet on Wednesday evening to match a four-star hotel. We could the food to no more sometime see and preferred to eat at local restaurants eaten. The location, size, cleanliness and pool area of the hotel were whereas completely fine. From the adjoining airport one also hardly noticed. Who spa area and above all the fitness center want to use, must be based on a daily fee of 11 Euro set. Einzeltarife for the fitness center there are unfortunately not. Spa treatments (we have manicure and pedicure made) are little professional. The hygiene leaves during the treatments as well as to be desired. read hotel review

    The country is wonderful nice, impressive with its ups and downs. Everywhere are flowers in bloom and the liriodendron me really enjoyed. We booked the country vonosten to west and from north to south,, are with the basket carriage the road runtergesaust, it was great!

    As i have already mentioned, was unfortunately the quantity of the food poor. In the evening there was chicken, fish or meat ever 1 times. 2 types of vegetables and rice or fries, a salad, some cold meats and 3-4 desserts... That was it. Over the quality of the dishes and the cleanliness in the restaurant there is nothing negative to say.

    Whoever beach holiday, is on Madeira wrong. The hotel is actually located directly at the beach, but there are large stones, that the sun at the beach no fun. Therefore there are a pool in a pleasant size. Would also like to mention the well-equipped gym with the neustesten equipment.

    Santa Cruz is a very idyllic, small place, the directly at the airport is. Nevertheless we do not have much from the noise heard, as the windows in the hotel top insulated.

During our vacation on Madeira we had, as we had hoped, very hot and sunny summer weather. In the sea with about 24 °C temperature of the water and hardly any waves very well swim, after you via a ladder (the time should be renewed) on concreted diving platform in the neighboring bathing area has been reached. We would not return half board book, because especially the dinner buffet as regards variety and taste in our opinion for a four-star hotel in this price range very much room for improvement is. So for us the value for money ( drinks ... included) not vote. You could restaurants outside of the hotel at half price ( respectively clearly less) better food. You should know, before you book. We loved the offer of the hotel, with the free shuttle bus to Funchal and again back. read hotel review

Very nice well-maintained hotel. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The food was good, should however somewhat abwechslungsreichr are. The approaching Airplanes did not bother us. The proximity to the airport and the resultant short transfer we highly appreciated that. Have always public bus to Funchal use; is an experience. Furthermore recommendable a rental car. In the hotel garage are enough PP available ( subject to a charge). We will be 2013 book again. read hotel review

The variety of very good reviews in our experience prior to from the hotel convinced. In reality, but you have to say, that the reviews in terms of the food couldn't understand. The choices and also the quality of the dishes corresponded in our opinion not a four-star hotel. This has the altogether good impression of the hotel noticeably troubled. read hotel review
