The setting in the shipping house 1914 in the Dutch art Deco style is unique. It is a mixture of office building full of classic Elements such as booking Stoomboot Maatschapij the Koninklijke, meeting rooms for the magnificent Directors, stylish and art Deco elements in interesting connection with today's comforts and hotel standard. Severe forms of construction of the hotel are not familiar with or perhaps a little threatening and gloomy. Overall appearance as long corridors and premises I personally thought that was a little drab and there is a shortage in the warmth. read more

    Very beautiful size with a view of the canal. Also here again reflects the art Deco, dark wallpaper and stubborn colors. Through the very high ceiling everything looks a bit dull, dark and threatening. As mentioned everything is a matter of taste. The bathroom was OK, not overly on the tub was missing a separating wall, after showering was the bath Hopelessly wet. Toilet seperrat is, was okay, however the room is really small and Spartan. There is no for example a washbasin for the cleaning. Mini bar was during my stay inclusive, NESPRESSO capsules with, and slippers ante bathe, as well as safe in the room. Condition of the total is still new.

    There is a bar where during the day also small court offered us snacks. Restaurant with buffet breakfast area is not inviting. Very dark and a space without window or natural light. Everything is clearly too dark and breakfast it is impossible a newspaper to read. My taste is missing positive Colors and does not contribute to good mood in. Breakfast is good but not spectacular. Warm egg dishes to wish to table friendly and competent served. Staff in the restaurant very friendly.

Ihne monitoring this leg bent courses never your room. Cleaning of the rooms invisible, very well and tidy.

    the location is great, a few minutes from the train station Centraal, metro station and the bus station. The city center with great options for shopping in a few minutes to reach.. The boat landing and water taxis are also in immediate nearby. From here you can the city without any problems on foot discover. All very good Starting point for tourists but also people on business trip. The airport Schiphol airport can be reached easily by train in about 20 minutes there are pleasant dining and drinking options and expensive not necessary. Also the surrounding Cities like Haarlem with very beautiful Franz Hals museum and great old town, the cheese city Alkmaar and the IJsselmeer Hoorn and Enkhuizen Hansesädten are good and easily reached by train reachable.

The hotel makes an interesting impression. Somehow it reminded at Hogwarts. Everything is winding, somehow resembles the architecture of a castle. Everything very clean and in great condition. The average age is multicolored mixed, the nationalities. Too many are people with higher incomes accommodated, but also the average traveler! read more

    The rooms are super!. Perfect size, the bathroom was very nice. Tv was perfect (little German channels). Mini bar was also class. The coffee machine was OK. (Returns better coffee). Safe is also available... The bed was divine ☺ & the view awesome! Especially in the evening!.

The hotel is impressive, the location unfortunately not really perfect, there is a bike rental, so you quickly to the center. Service and staff the status in accordance with, the rooms but somewhat inconvenient furnished. Business center weak! read more

The hotel exudes the grandeur of the past, you feel rather like you are in a historic company or administrative building. The room was great, lots of space, good facilities, quiet. The hotel is amazing and is located directly at a canal. On foot you are within 5 minutes at the train station, from where trams go in every direction. The staff is very friendly and the service great. The room was big and beautiful, the bed super comfortable. Our summary: ideal place in Amsterdam, but unfortunately too expensive, as a lot is outdated and rather 4 stars would be appropriate. read more

The complex sadly seemed very dark and dingy. Marble, plentiful, and dark carpets give it a dark wood antique impression. The cleanliness were generally good.     Unfortunately, we have to give this point extreme drawbacks. We booked this hotel in particular for its "wellness centers" chosen; the gym too small, the equipment and the floor wasn't clean and only limited usable, still three good cardio machines (a treadmill, stationary bike, and Crosser), free water sports station; the real spa with a swimming pool, a jacuzzi, two saunas, an infrared cabin and steam room is new, but unfortunately the cleanliness on closer inspection to be desired. The few sitting and covers were replaced fresh towels were mostly with lounging, although the users were partly not available anymore. Guests and unfortunately the staff were the wet-area with shoe entering; the spa offer from timing reasons we didn't use

    5 mins walk from the main train station (Centraal station), airport from there a fast train in 20 minutes (4€ simple/ adult) walking distance, public transport facilities, such as bus, S-Bahn, metro also very easy to see (Open 24h/ticket for 7 euros / adult), access to the boat tours also very well located. The hotel is very centrally located, so it is a perfect starting point for all kinds of activities and excursions

Great hotel, but no 5 stars for the service. You have to know the hotel is almost a museum, but with new furniture; it is all very dark, you sometimes feel like you are in a haunted castle. But everything was very clean and the mix of new modern furniture with old adornments on the walls, ceilings, floors, makes the whole into something special, but gloomy. In short, really recommendable for Amsterdam, but no 5 stars, centrally located and there are much worse hotels for this price in Amsterdam! read more

The hotel is an old office building. The corridors form a maze where it is easy to get lost. There should be more lifts or we didn't find them all. Location is good near the central station. The well stocked minibar is included in the room's price. read more

The hotel captivates with its own charm, since it was an old Kontorhaus Quarter - is. In all areas it was clean and well maintained. took some getting used to but the construction, as a quick orientation lost by winding halls with only partially helping signs.     Our room was of the base area was probably good average. Due to the about 5m high ceiling but really exceptional and it felt huge. The furniture was also very nice and the style uniform and matching. I noticed the carpet is particularly good, with its bright colors in contrast to some other Hotelteppich really nice to look at and in very good shape. The bathroom was also very nice furnished, with bath, shower, toilet, and a vanity with double sinks. I didn't think the opaque glass doors to the bathing area very sinnig, but it was a matter of taste. Unfortunately the black marble seemed very dirty by old water stains & footprints. This was not advised, I have tried in vain, the stains. Looked but just not very inviting. The shower had a rainfall showerheads, and a standard shower head. Unfortunately came out of a rainfall showerhead hardly any water out and the normal shower head was only very hard to adjust. In my towel was a larger hole, which really shouldn't happen, but other than that, the bathroom was very nice and clean. The bed was really huge (2.10 long and 2m) and there were a variety of pillows to choose from.

    The welcome to the hotel was a bit hard to get used to. By the architecture wasn't big entrance hall with includes inlaid asked us, instead a staff in a separate room, the more like a generous office seemed. Since everything was in the original retaining the style is this was first impressive. But when more guests entered the hotel to check in, they asked these concurrently with in this room, which I personally found very indiskret and disturbing. A staff who took our bags and showed us the way to our room. He brought us to the restaurant, and pass the bar and told us about the spa and sports area. In the room he said some extra touches. Unfortunately, the staff a bit hectic and tölpelhaft, its Art fit absolutely not to the standard of the hotel. Well trained staff with perfect manners surely would make for an even better overall. The staff spoke impeccable English

    The spa and sports area is also a small gym (we didn't use it) and also a pool, a spa tub, and several saunas (2 Trockensaunen, a very small infrared and steam room). Unfortunately, there was much too few beach chairs and sauna area is separated from the pool not enough. The guests are with badebekleidung in the sauna and shower - probably not, since only a shower on the saunas is - right in the hot tub. Personally, I found the pretty disgusting. Also, I have never seen you with badebekleidung in the sauna, yes no makes sense. Relaxation in the immediate vicinity of 4 is located by the pool and jacuzzi also not to think. It wasn't really fit the visitors to the typical of the high Besucherstruktur preisigen hotels. What I was very disturbed and disappointing was our visit to the fitness center for 21 hours everything was full of used towels. The hooks before the saunas, where there is no one was, were vollgehängt with towels. All the sun-loungers and chairs were reserved with towels and were still in several corners towels on the floor. At this time there were maybe 6 more people at the spa. In the Wäschekörben There were the towels. It was clearly that from 20 hours no staff more responsible for the spa is what my opinion was unacceptable. We had often people in sports attire or even shoe walked through the entire area look. So we did leave with a session in the sauna after a short and are "peace" phase back to your room. As a good spa for us have been a selection criterion is, we were really disappointed.

Great hotel in special architectural atmosphere. Everything is really lovely place to stay. The best in Amsterdam moves you just with a bike. This is certainly nothing new but the hotel offers bikes to lend. All the people in the hotel was friendly and helpful. You will feel at home here. read more

The Art Nouveau architecture and the lovingly in detail designed interior are really worth seeing. The central location is excellent. The rooms with 12 -foot-high ceilings are impressive, but quite small. Elegantly decorated with touches: automatically zuziehende curtains, a Nespresso machine, and mini bar included. Unfortunately Our room wasn't uncovered evening. But the breakfast is rather modest for 25 EUR. The spa is very small and was during my stay it was not clean. This was certainly also the unattended by rampaging kids there. But the Papierwasserbecher steam room, floods by the beach chairs and hair in the shower with ... a 5 -star hotel with an appropriate acctivities both not. read more

The rooms are more than well equipped. The beds are very good. Mini bar included. can also directly refilled. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The spa area made a very good impression. read more

The tv stand was full of dust. The bathroom door of fingerprints from the previous tourist. It hadn't been cleaned. read more
