The hotel is directly at the beach and has a beautiful outdoor area. The rooms are nice and clean. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The food was good, maybe our expectations but also too high. For 5 stars we would have sometimes expected more. We had a rental car and gave us a bicycle borrowed, so that we mostly were the island to explore. read more

When we three years ago in connection with a bike tour cruise in Olbia put on themselves and by bike the Marinella-bay met, we had the desire, again to get there.
This succeeded us this year and we spend 12 wonderful, very relaxing days in the hotel abi d'oru, whereby the sunny, very warm weather a considerable had a part.
We intend to return soon holiday in this hotel to make! read more

In comparison to friend who travelled with us friends was our room for the same price half so largely. Terrace had to neighbors share. Telephone despite complaints, was not repaired. Head waiter and part of the crew were very arrogant. Food was very good however each evening almost the same.

The hotel complex is located in a very peaceful location ( there are no shops, bars, restaurants etc. Nearby) with a direct access to the very nice sandy beach. Everything chairs and umbrellas are free and in good condition. Also the pool itself is great. For children but there is the beach and the small demarcated area in the pool nothing except a small Plastikhäuschen for playing - therefore, we as family hotel unfortunately only very recommend. Child care there was not any. The staff are, as pretty much all in Italy, very child-friendly - especially our waitress Sonja. We ... had the whole time a rental car and as variety something drove around and could so one or another supermarket, playground, etc. Locate.
Both the breakfast, as well as dinner are perfect, always varied and tasty.
The rooms are cleaned daily and all towels (there are per person always a extra beach towel in addition, without a deposit etc.) changed. On the rooms there is free sky and throughout the hotel complex free of charge Wi-Fi.
But what you have to mention is, that the rooms unfortunately very badly soundproofed are. Only after a room changing ( was without any problems by friendly reception staff possible) to the top floor and in a back area it was really quiet. Before it was quite early in the morning very strenuous-every door, each run, every flush toilet etc. Was very loud to hear.
In the extensive hotel there is a lake with ducks etc., unfortunately because of this but also Mosquitoes in the house and rooms. So you have to go more the air conditioning use as the windows respectively doors to open.
Apart from that but a really very nice hotel with great beach and shallow water. read more

Hired car definitely recommendable, if you a bit of the island want to see. Apart from that calmly without large animation ( what I personally thought it was pleasant ), very good food and the lounges as well as room very attractive. In the high season the chairs on the beach very tight and cramped, in the pre-season the whole is casual. Dive center and boat rentals to reach on foot. read more

Essential is a vehicle, because the hotel about 4 kilometer from Porto Rotondo (small neighboring town) is located. Additional costs, such as drinks are very expensive in the hotel. Beginning may the hotel was not fully booked, which very pleasant was. Good location for excursions with a car in surrounding and further afield. read more

The hotel lies beautiful in the bay Golfo di Marinella, great beach with turquoise water and also the complex velvet garden loved, everything was very well maintained by constantly present gardener eTC. The rooms are also big enough and furnished nicely, only in the bathroom missing light sources, it's too dark, a make-up mirror isn't available, two washbasin.
The food tasted us, for breakfast there is no complaints, it was everything available, however the map in the evening ( menu, 4 courses a 5-6 choices) four nights not changed, probably in respect to the just about 20 guests, what is ... understandable, on the other hand the selection already restricts, if one not each evening the same fish food and not a meat eats. Once the season starts, there is a before-and desserts buffet and the first and second main course an election menu. A bottle of water 0. 75 costs 4 euros, the beverages at the bar and also in the restaurant are covered, but we had always seen in Italy.
Tips
We had from Germany from a rental car booked with Europcar and are easy from the airport to the hotel risks with a brought navi, but the hotel is also well signposted.
If one deserted bays / beaches, streets and places like, then one is in the pre-season in good hands, of course are restaurants/ bars/ shops too many still closed, supermarkets there was enough, however not in the immediate area of the hotel, in addition one must direction Olbia or Porto Rotondo drive.
We have the perfect peace found, also had some luck with the weather, so that one also times by the pool or beach chairs, the water was still too cold. As the peak season appears, if all 170 rooms are occupied, we cannot judge. read more

I would recommend this hotel really recommend unlimited! Very attentive and friendly staff, nice ambience and wonderful view of the bright sandy beach with turquoise blue, crystal-clear water. The breakfast buffet is very versatile and especially fresh and on the terrace with view of the sea right in the mood for the day. A rental car is however due to the location and the numerous places worth seeing on the island very recommendable! read more

The hotel wasn't't equivalent to a five stars standard, it was more like a three star. The walls are very thin, so you hear any activities of the neighboring rooms. The breakfast does not vary. Within a week every day exactly the same range. The entertainment program consists of a bad singing pianist. The beach is very nice and offers a Roma tables, quiet atmosphere in the evening. read more

We ( couple -both 49 years ) were in the beginning October 2011 for 1 week the ABI d'ORU. We were from the location and the decor of the hotel very pleased; for us it was a very relaxing vacation. In particular peace and outside of the hotel has us very well done.
we had the half board and were very satisfied.
all in all we can see, from the 5 starcategory absolutely not disappointed have been.
during our stay were too many German, Swiss and Italian in the hotel; by the bank, probably because of the altersdurchschnitts ( between ... 45 and 55 ), a very quiet audience.
the hotel is very clean and offers from the outside area of the reception hall a dream view on the Bay of Marinella. We were on the first day completely overwhelmed. read more

Hotel and location were very nice in a bay with sand and crystal clear waters, but nothing in the surrounding area. Half board so necessary and also a car. Porto Rotondo about four kilometer and September 'closed' already to a great extent. All the great food and nice for the eye, but boring in taste. Fish in the buffet restaurant was very good, both as meat, as well as in the full-service restaurant usually tough. The breakfast no fish and yogurt in plastic cups usually 0, a %! For children there is water and sand to play. If you are ... less than two the like, certainly not. Room to the land side are extremely different from the 'noisy' by generators to the 'waiters view' Make sure seasite take the plunge. read more

Without borrowing car is one aufgeschmissen! The hotel is my opinion really good! But a 5 Sternestatus I do not see. To German standard rather 4 star and the price is but really too high. The rooms at the back of the hotel are really bad from the view. Therefore our tip: always with a view of the sea book. Actually a good hotel however too expensive for what you get! Wine and drinks for the food or at the bar are really steep from the price but the glass of wine for the food we of the prices not! ... Instead of at the bar depend one should rather by car briefly down into the supermarket and correctly shopping and the bottles of wine, small beer on the balcony enjoy. The other guests are a mix of German and Russians with the as always a thick pants and sometimes embarrassing were. However like that is you stop. The beach was really great. The water a dream! The lifeguards were always attentive and make the chairs and an umbrella on. In short beach, hotel and employee were always friendly and good. As already written - it is important to take a rental car to rent. And the Germany from! Apart from that this really expensive! We would come back any time drive if the price and this is in the season unfortunately not the case at all! Best off-season or off season!-O read more

We were 1 week with extended family (14 people) on the way. We all got the desired room. The grounds are beautiful, right on the sea front and very well maintained. No Street in between. Beach attendant at the beach and pool were helpful and present. A SPA does not exist, no significant child care-doesn't matter, we were too many. But crystal-clear water and a clean beach. 1 week summer sun sunshine. Perfect! read more
