Hotel Thulhagiri^{(3.5 stars)}

We had a beach bungalow and were totally thrilled. You can hear from an adjoining neighbor absolutely nothing. Every morning we sat with a cup of coffee (kettle in every room) at 6 hours prior to our bungalow to the awakening the island to observed and eavesdrop. The parakeets the woke, the glanzkrähe with their krächzenden sound, the heron the the island their first parties moved, the geckos are still on the hunt and the schönechsen with its beautiful color already in the first rays of sunshine warmed. The crabs in their 'borrowed cottage' a protection from the sun and the sand or under a shrub hidden. It was wonderful! Our bungalow with a large bedroom, tv, desk, chair, kettle coffee/tea. Bathroom/toilet and shower always very clean cleaned. Never came bugs to face. Ants, the front of our bungalow your street at our palm hochzogen had everywhere and disturbed never.

The beach bar was always attracting a lot of visitors, above all shortly before sunset. The restaurant with its great and rich buffet, really has something for everyone, at each meal was full. No matter wether asians, europeans or americans i never saw someone who nothing at the buffet found. Delicious! We have booked all inclusive and would definitely again make. During the day we were three-four the beach bar and except for a few things (cocktails with champagne, ice cream or espresso) everything was in the price included. The prices for the beverages were quite high and so was all inclusive just perfect.

The staff on thulhagiri is very friendly. Our roomboy was the first days as invisible. Only on the 3. day we have it seen. The cleaning of the rooms was absolutely alright. Every day there were fresh towels and beach towels. The bed in this one week twice freshly changed. The staff in the restaurant or at the bar was very friendly and partly spoke german, otherwise english. One of the waiters even spoke very good german.

The sports we didn't use. But there were always tauchschüler at the station or with the canoe on the way. Every evening there is an event. The crab races, the diving station... Beach chairs at the beach there are plentiful. Everyone always found a beach chair and the oh-so famous and popular reserve is absolutely not necessary. But every morning efficient celebrated! Pool: who needs a pool if one has the sea at one's door?

It was our first vacation on the Maldives and it should be our best will, as after 1 week turned out to be. Long we were looking for after a small green island and for thulhagiri and that was the best decision! The 300 times 200 meters large island with its about 52 beach and 34 water bungalows was just the right thing for a vacation where you take a break from everyday life can. The half-open reception, the restaurant, the bar, just everything was beautiful. Especially the casual a barefoot island power a vacation twice as nice. Thulhagiri has a beautiful beach in the daily two-three times of washed coral cleaned. The lagoon is beautiful, crystal-clear water and already after a few meters you can while snorkeling the most beautiful and most colorful fish to see. The sea with its dazzling farbeund temperature (28°), relentless for swimming, snorkeling, splash or just to do nothing in the water a! There was the possibility other islands or a trip to male to make. We only times and were glad in the evening again on 'our' islet to be! Male you have or you have not seen. Our room was with a small desk, tv, two armchairs, a 'four poster bed', two bedside tables and a Air conditioning. The best was however the glass table, through the directly into the water look and the a or other fish could see. Amazing. The bathroom was with a toilet, two sinks, a bathtub and shower. Everything was very clean kept On our terrace there were two chairs, and an umbrella and we had a direct access to the sea.

The food, whether the breakfast, lunch or the dinner were just fantastic. The chef of the kitchen was an austrian and that has its people really the cooking lessons, because he cannot do everything alone. For breakfast there was egg in all forms, cereal, yogurt and delicious bread, as well as toast. Every day you could to the hors-d'oeuvre from the various salads select. Of al main courts there were always beef, pork! And poultry in different variations, as well as rice, pasta and potatoes as a side dish. The dessertvielfalt was simply overwhelming. The fresh fruit in connection with the delicious puddings always tasted the best. We did tip, however we are not covered. Usually we have every day our waiters around 1 to 2 Dollar and had not the feeling, that we not well served.

The friendliness the staff was, overall alright. However there were some waiters, the seemed very arrogant, i am thinking particularly of the ' singing ' Mohamed. English could all of the staff, partly even something german. Problems with the communication so there was (almost) no. The cleaning of the rooms as mentioned 2 times per day. Had not be, but was ok. Every day there were fresh towels for the bathroom or the beach.

We are only snorkeling and swam. Who wanted, could also sailing, surfing, kickers, table tennis or unwind in the gym-it was air-conditioned-crowding. It wanted but none at this time ☺. From and to also a game of volley ball unenlisted. Extensive use was the german diving station taken, because the tauchgründe before thulhagiri are just fantastic. Each beach bungalows include two beach chairs, the numbered are. But none of it. The bad habit, the beach chairs early to reserve is, now apparently international. Before my wife and i the trip to thulhagiri booked, we have gone on the various resorts of the Maldives in the catalog information. After our selection the travel reports from holiday check studied. We were from 13. until 21 january 2013 at thulhagiri. In this time were very many japanese people (40%) and russians (20%) to the island. The rest was a mixture of germans, swiss, dutch, austrian, etc. British were no the island. There were families with small children, as well as couples from young to old without children on the island.

As i said, the distance to the airport was short. With the speedboat we were about minutes of the airport island hulhulé after thulhagiri stituents. This is occasional planes not be avoided. Restaurant and bar were always clean. Food varied and tasty. Much meat, beef, pork, chicken... Pasta, salads, freshly fried vegetables... So if you didn't find anything here has other problems. Always friendly, all spoke english, some even a little german. Our waiter knew after a few days what we liked to drink, so we were rarely in the dry sat.

We had a beach bungalow (number 108) ideal is. 20 meters to the beach and 'our' umbrella, or beach. Great beach section in front of the bunhalow. The bungalows are simply furnished but completely adequate. Closet was large and the bathroom also, particularly the shower area. Only 25 minutes with the speedboat was pleasant. We didn't go on any excursions. Only the free snorkelling trip.

We had a beach bungalow. Very spacious. Also the bathroom. You must be aware, that you were in a tropical country to a guest and must the furnishings not with european standards to compare. We had a good working air conditioning, a fridge, a tv, which we never used, in the bathroom a stone gehauenes sink and a shower, as well as a hair dryer. In the main room a large bed, that now and then after an appropriate tip for the roomboy beautiful with flowers was. The cleaning takes place twice a day and was for our needs more than enough.

There was only one main restaurant on the island. Food is very good. The chef is austrian. For my taste the food from time to time a bit sharper and for Maldives more of regional cuisine oriented can be. It is however there is something for everybody: every day fresh fruit, much fresh vegetables, beef, pork, chicken, Turkey and fish. There is every day another motto, although the dishes but very similar.

The staff is - if the tips yes-very accommodating and helpful. German skills are our experience after only little available, english but constant, albeit quite broken, spoken. The room boy always so 2-4 Dollar on the pillow. The rooms will 2 times cleaned daily. The waiter we have ever on average 2-3 Dollar every day and the bartender in the average 4-5 Dollar, depending on, if we also during the day at the beach bar were. The was prompt and we had our first day a great table in peaceful surroundings with a view of the sea.

There is the possibility on the local diving school to dive, but also snorkelling, sailing, kitesurfing, canoeing is possible. There are two table tennis and a Kicker. For us it was mainly a bathing, snorkeling and diving holiday. We had a beach bungalow and there are beach chairs for everyone (numbered with the room number). There are on the beach but sufficient beach chairs for all of the guest, although some specialists the water bungalows already in the early morning certain beach chairs in the afternoon had reserved, which in our opinion not really should be.

Had for our honeymoon a beach bungalow room. The bungalow was twice cleaned daily. Once had a 'honeymoon' -bed and several times with flowers decorated, beautifully arranged bed. Have deliberately asked, there were about 170 guests at the same time on the island. Chairs were always free, although lots of guests (especially the water bungalows) early in the morning beach chairs with their towels had reserved.

The island is about 200 times 300 meters, if you slow walked, it has a around 10 to 15 minutes driven round. Male (including airport) is with the speed boat approximately 20 minutes out, indicated dhonie you need about one hour. Were not in times, but there's a trip offered. Bungalow-if! Is in all respects cannot be beat: privacy, view, size, furnishing (safe, fridge, tea, coffee included making facilities, the bathroom directly on the private terrace)... The water bungalows are not brand-new anymore, but they gave no reason to complain. After waking up in the rising sun from the bed on the lagoon to watch: can't be beat!

It is a superior 3-star island, this also applies to the kitchen. But in the tropics is for us the number of cereals for breakfast not significantly. At the buffet is after the 3. day a certain wiedererkennungseffekt a. But we have always delicious and fresh regional variants found, for every meal time! If you have time Maldives treat yourself to, really, and the at reasonable prices, the bay a water bungalow. The economy-and standard bungalows sometimes have the disadvantage, that privacy not far is: every roam just through the 'seat'. Or one looks at the back of the next bungalows... Instead of on the sea! All-inclusive is worthwhile in light of the prices for zusatzmahlzeiten and drinks. We experienced many chinese, whose sometimes a bit study and not discreet art not everyone thing is. The 'wild' wellennsittiche give the island a special charm. The bungalows will get twice cleaned daily. We found the service anytime as friendly and accommodating. As one calls into the forest, so sounds's just back. Although a tip at the right time the service surely again improved.

We were within a hour after landing at male in the bungalow: the speedboat transfer takes about 20 minutes. Can but also time, that you are on a further flight have to wait, it could also somewhat longer go, until the boat can start. In all-inclusive is either a schnorchenausflug or night fishing included. There is on the island an air-conditioned well-stocked gym-if you need them... The entertainment is very poor, however also not urgent: disco, live music, movies...

We had a water bungalow (219 ) and were very satisfied: small entrance with a dreitürigen wardrobe, safe, coffee/tea coffee-maker, large bedroom-attractive with light bamboo furniture furnished, very nice and bright because of of 7 floor-to-ceiling windows ( sensational view of the turkish sea, you think you are in a swimming pool - so my title), glasbodentisch, air-condition, to the sea private sun terrace with 2 tasteful loungers and direct access to the sea, large bathroom with rain shower, bath tub, 2 washbasin, toilet, hair dryer, additional front door to the sun terrace. Small, quieter fridge, satellite tv ( flat screen ), telephone. The jetty to judge, it was during this wasserbungalowreihe to the' newer', the condition is perfect. Only drawback: the stairs: the 5 lower stages of the stairs, the into the sea leads, are almost always in the water and with a fine algenfilm, you on the first glance not so recognizes, covered. The same goes for the stairway hand rail, on the steps they are superglatt. Right at the first entering is my husband slipped and the last 4 steps in the buttocks hinabgesegelt. Buffet restaurant - with a lot of choice - actually something there for every taste. There is every day a slogan (asiatic, continental, grill, divehi, european), the difference has but not so developed. Maybe it was a or other supplement then typical of the country, but the majority of the food was always very similar. I would recommend the freshly grilled fish recommended, it was really delicious, so just caught you can get it in Germany not on the table. The starters buffet was good, but there was almost not any variety there. The dessert- and cheese buffet was surprisingly versatile and diverse. I found hygienetechnisch faultless. We were lucky and our table in a charming small nebenabteil get assigned. The restaurant is in four divided into areas: an area in the immediate area of the buffet: busy, because every several times marched through, dark, because no skylights, and views nothing, sandfußboden followed by 2 nebenabteilen, whereby we were in the smaller of the two sat, quiet, since no through traffic, sandfußboden, view to the beach/ sea, beautiful lichtatmosphäre. Very friendly and helpful staff. Special thanks at our waiter Ali, the us very well cared for. One got along with English very well. Our bungalow was cleaned in the morning (when we arrived it had a tic be cleaner, in front of us was apparently a asian family in the room, and there was still a lot black hair around), but since there is a broom and brief swept and the love soul rest. From day two it was then always tip top. Evenings came then someone, has sometimes the blanket nicely arranged, but otherwise I could no difference. You can wash leave, we didn't use. A doctor there is Bandos, with the speedboat approximately 10 minutes away. Broken bulb, bad functioning eingangsschloss were immediately repaired.

Sub aqua -diving school available ( not used by us) (but only good heard). Various water sports: catamaran, canoeing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, banana boat, water skiing (we didn't use-the operator put but powerful the stuff and care a lot about their customers). Small island (in 6-8 comfortable minutes to orbit ), from the airport with the speedboat about minutes away. We were our bungalow in 2 minutes at the beach. After times it was 25 minutes. Locally a small well assorted shop with the usual souvenirs, postcards, stamps and everything you forget at home could ( for example furnishings). Not to forget: chips - not very cheap but tasted especially in the second week delicious. Nice evening agenda in the bar, the right lounging is (live band, krabenrennen, disco evening, magic show, diving video). Various excursions (1 snorkeling excursion in all-inclusive included): snorkeling, visit male, visit of a native island, night fishing-from us however not used

Practical facilities, idelale beach area, separate access from the outside to the shower.

Food, a somewhat sensitive issue. I am normally not to complain, this food. In advance food was good - but: if you 14 days lunch and evenings always the same gets, then you have to complain about. Salads were always the same. Buffet in principle-2-3 dishes varied. There was each evening a themed buffet, here merely the signs replaced, apart from that the food was the same. Empty plates and bowls were not refilled, whoever came later, just had to see what's left. Long queues before the buffet, even if you later.

The service and the kindness of the staff were genuinely great! Despite Ramadan always friendly and attentive.

Sufficient loungers. Very nice nearby reef with lots of fish, turtles and sharks. Water and beach a dream! Nice evening entertainment, great live band

Island very close developed, however get lost guests on the island. We had bungalow 125-for me this was the most beautiful beach section. Rather crass the bungalows in the back row. Island can on foot in 8 minutes could be. Paths on the island in the interior partly been dredged for decades-concrete! Guest structure to our travel time about 60% asians, the rest German, swiss, Italian

A speedboat about minutes from the airport to the island. Excursions after times are offered, you can save. Unfortunately at the time. By close proximity to airport, unfortunately the mass tourism of the asian people, the usually only 3 days stay. Behavior for the food and respect for human privacy from other guests is a foreign word.
