I am writing this review as a contrast to the previous review, which was very negative. At the hotel it concerns the 1938 built royal palace, where the royal family of karauli still lives. Who a modern hotel expected is in the wrong place here. However it is a hotel with a certain charm. A Hilton- or Ramada-room looks in the world practically everywhere standardized from. This hotel is very, very unique. There are 18 standard rooms, 19 deluxe rooms and 8 suites. I was there with a group. Those from the group, which is one of the normal rooms ... were disappointed by the rooms. I was in one of the 8 suites - and that was a considerable experience. The suite consisted of a dining room, a tv room, a bedroom, a large dressing room, a bathroom and a separate toilet. The furnishings reminded me of the decor to the 50. years. You feel a bit like a maharaja in old times. If you want a 'modern' rooms is expected here so wrong-if, on the other hand, the charm of yesteryear in for may this hotel clearly the highlight of the trip will be.
A suite costs circa 100 Euro a night, a normal room circa 80 Euro. I recommend the charge for the suite to take in purchase. read more

If there is a other possibility returns, then this property do not book.
The hotel is run down, the staff speaks only Indian, nobody is responsible for anything.
We stayed in two cold drafty rooms with Uraltausstattung, carelessly equipped, no heizmöglichkeit.
The bathroom an absolute Impertinence, old, filthy, cold water, before the toilet a wassertriefender carpet-Yuck!
The dinner bland, monotonous, geschmacksloses vegetables, the staff boring and long waiting periods, but the drink prices rude. Even the Lassi, the everywhere tasted, was thin and tasteless. Pudding on dinner sour and so on
Breakfast for India very poor, jams, Butter, egg and ... rationiertes bread, only available by special request toasted. read more

The hotel is located about 2 kilometer Bhanwar Vilas palace outside Karauli. It is a earlier Maha Raja-residency and also reflects the strong influence of the British colonial period. The traces of the times are apparent in many places of the plant.
the 47 rooms vary equipped, mostly with old furniture and raised beds, the charm one bygone era exude. Suffer for example the bathroom, the rather sparsely decorated (a provisional shower on the bright floor). There is no TV and no telephone. Occasionally the water supply went off. The electrical installations are very dated. The food was partly in ... inner courtyard and is of average quality. In the extensive garden the area is also a small swimming pool.
the hotel is very suitable, both rural life and folklore in Rajasthan to meet, as well as in order to visit the 'city palace', a wonderful Maha Raja castle with great masonry work, frescoes and painted vaulted ceiling on several floors-a gem, the prestigious guides unknown. In addition offers a visit to the ancient hindu Kaila Devi at grotto, the Hindu god Shiva in the believers is. read more
