The hotel is very clean and for a relaxing vacation perfect, the staff are very hard and the food simply magnificent. There is free Wi-Fi and one can well with credit pay. read more

small hotel with tight 30 rooms in bungalows and private beach. Opening: 2009, could but also already thirty years old his.     Dirty and shabby. Immediately the collection in our room we were very disappointed. The room is from the start filthy and pointed considerable Traces of use to: the bathroom was badly and shabby, Mirror with Spindrift contaminated and smudgy-thus hardly usable. The washbasin is often torn and with strangers hair covered, everywhere hairs and in every corner was ancient indefinable dirt, the bed linen is with various and different colored stains polluted, the insect lattice is broken and therefore unusable-insects and reptiles in all rooms, several deep and long cracks in walls and ceilings, the air conditioning is leaky and on every piece of furniture is a thick layer of dust. The towels are stained, torn or not at all available. The door could not be locked, as the castle was broken. The toilets clog more often, the rooms are very badly soundproofed, the beds creaking very strong. The water from the shower was only cold, just hot, the bed is very short (1.80 meters). The windows with wobbly blinds and thin curtains equipped, the darkening of the room exactly little possible made, as natural light the room to leave. The lamps are very weak and the room this dark (probably is the dirt, dirt and dust so not recognize). Good: the fridge worked.

À la carte: wide choice, but unfortunately very rarely offered.

    the staff are friendly, speaks good English. Often had the feeling it is more staff as guests in the hotel. Complaints are admitted, but only partly fixed. Example: defective Zimmerlampe was in two weeks not changed, missing towels not worried. cleaning of the rooms: the cleaning of the rooms was bad. For more information see under rooms. We found the manager of the hotel very arrogant and unfriendly.

    no animation or something like that. The pool is not special large and not really clean, but compensated but the beach and the sea. For children and non-swimmer however less suitable, as strongly sloped, stream and high waves. Apart from that: very quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Despite cleaning the beach, remains larger flotsam or similar chairs. At the beach there are dogs, but very peaceful and on request from the staff shoos away are.

    the hotel lies almost directly on hotel's own sandy beach (beach chairs, umbrellas and cushions available, without fee). In the area there is neither other hotels still good options for shopping. But there is in the immediate area the hotel small A cashpoint nepperpreise, in which you drinks and cookies or similar can buy cheap (note: not every price pay!). Better options for shopping in Chilaw city, about 5 kilometers away, with a Threewheeler ( small train) easy and cheap to reach. The hotel offers a complimentary daily shuttle service into the city.

Already for the 2. time i spent my vacation in Hotel Carolina. After many stays in the tourist areas of Sri Lanka it was a delight, on vacation didn't bother me and the original Sri Lanka again to discover. The hotel is the very little busy coastal road between chilaw and mahawewa, the airport transfer took about an hour. The small town chilaw is about five kilometers far away and with the public bus or with a tuck-tuck cheap distance. Nice shopping possibilities (clothes, ayurvedic article, knick-knacks). The environment of the hotel is agrarian: kokosnußhaine, shrimpszuchten, gemüsefelder. We enjoyed the ... evening walks through the village very much. To the hotel has a private beach, the from the staff superbly maintained and cleaned, outside is the beach the fishermen and is nature (marine debris). The rooms were in the bungalows, the spacious in a beautiful garden plant are arranged. They have an appealing size (three different room types) and are very clean. During my two holidays there were two different chefs, the very good, international and national cuisine auftischten. The waiters spoke partly very little english-a tip: as in our China-restaurants just after numbers order! Conclusion i am coming again! read more

unfortunately not especially clean, mold in the shower, bed sheets subscribe to leak or broken, cleaning only bedürfigt. Towels in the age (tie iessen). half board: breakfast every day the same and not hygienic and dinner was always cold. (can eventual in the countryside there not hot by the very virulence geessen). read more
