The hotel a fantastic beach area the Scarborough beach, the furnishing the room has gotten a bit old. For our stay in February had however the renovation the room on the upper floors started. On the result we are curious. We had a direct access to the rendezvous club booked. Perth a wonderful town and this hotel you can directly the beach use - we were thrilled. read more

4 star hotel with fantastic view disappointing

Since the hotel opened in 1986 we have fifteen times for 2-3 weeks in this hotel stayed. Especially therefore, because it the only hotel in the Perth (or even in Western Australia!) is, which direct access to the beach has. The best Times, when this hotel chains like Radisson run, are for years and the house is today quite run down. read more

we had two different rooms: one was in poor condition, broken furniture and greasy armchair. The second was very good condition. The bathroom are still in the fantastically condition of 1986.

  • Gastronomy
    3.0

Two out of three restaurants made before years close, it is only a buffetRestaurant, which was not really a 4 *-hotel in fit. The bar looks more or exactly like 1986!

  • Service
    4.0

the staff are majority friendly and helpful.

  • Sport & Entertainment
    5.0

the pool is very small, there are only about 20 beach chairs and some tables with chairs. The complex is really nice, in the high season but usually crowded and noisy.

the hotel lies although 15 minutes from town center away, offers a fantastic view. The sandy beach is white, clean and wide, the Indian ocean and is usually high waves very clean. Shade is however bring your own.

Best hotel view of Scarborough beach archived

The hotel is uniquely situated right on the Scarborough beach in Perth and from all the rooms to the ocean had a breathtaking view of the endless tranquil beach. We had a room on the executive level with a sea view. There was a small lounge in the 23. Floor breakfast or alternatively in the breakfast restaurant on the ground floor offers a large buffet. 17-19 hours happy hour was free of charge in the lounge drinks and Canapees -with a great sunset from the terrace. The hotel is in the hotel features a bit old, but it was treated ... renovated soon. There are no Safes in the room, but left you your clothes in the safe of the hotels ground floor LAN connection in the room-Wireless Internet lobby-for a fee. Opposite the hotel is a supermarket and some small restaurants nearby-rather fast food. Car is recommended urgently, to get to Perth downtown and for excursions. Hotel garage for a fee. Trip tips: Fremantle-half day tour, pinnacles-tour-approximately 500 kilometer, Perth city and the kings park, overlooking the city skyline. From the airport, the hotel is about domestic and about 27 kilometer from the 20 kilometer away. read more

Don't hurry to rendezvous here archived

My experience at Rendezvous Observation City does not compare with even the most basic budget hotels I have stayed in throughout Europe over the last 12 months. The rooms were overpriced & underserviced, the bathrooms tired & grotty, the staff miserable & unhelpful and the selection & quality of food available was limited, not to mention well overpriced. And management are still to respond to our concerns 2 months later. Rendezvous say on their website: “So no matter where in the world you choose rendezvous, you will discover Rendezvous Hotels' people focused exclusively on delivering the very finest hotel experience. ...” Given this quotation, its prime location and reputation, not to mention the price paid for the rooms, I had much higher expectations. The welcome and service we received at The Rendezvous was far from “the very finest”, it was disappointing to say the least and I would be reluctant to recommend this hotel to anyone. read more
