The Prince of Wales Hotel is a modern city hotel right in the centre of Athlone. About hundred kilometer of Galway and one hundred kilometer of Dublin the location perfect for a stopover. Major sights in the city. Clonmacnoise, a unique convent ruin right on the Shannon river, but is only a few kilometres away. The rooms were very clean and spacious. There was a very large shower with various Wellness massage functions, a little highlight ☺ In the room there is free internet access, a car park is available free of charge and the breakfast buffet is also to ... be recommended. You can choose from various warm dishes from the menu and there is cereal, fruit and jam, as well as juices from the buffet. read more

Good hotel for a stopover in the middle of Ireland. Good food at a reasonable price in the bar for Ireland. Is centrally located in Athlone, from where you from boat trips on the Shannon to do. read more

We only stayed one night but everything was great. Free parking and Wi-Fi internet, nice staff, tip: The oldest pub of Ireland is within a five-minute walk. Delicious food in the morning, selection of the Show and buffet. Highly recommended! read more
