Room was not cleaned, was very run-down. After complaint happened hours nothing at all, except putting off. The cleaning lady did not understand, also the head of house keeping could not make yourself understood. As the boss itself with gloves and cloth anrückte, we have to a new room asked, which but also only presented. The whole hotel, except for the lobby and the restaurant, are strong in need of renovation!
The pool is not in a good condition, the tiles are broken, the water didn't look not appetizing. Also the rest of the wellness area was everything but inviting. ... In the sauna it was dark, the light, by the glass door let, showed a not very good condition of the wood, shortly before disgusting. After 10 minutes, we have this area to leave.
The only positive was a really great breakfast bufett.
Apart from that: certainly not again!
Apart from that very disappointing and definitely not worth 4 stars worth! read more

The hotel is a already easy ageing high-rise building with a restaurant, and internet access in the reception area. Around the hotel there is ample free parking for the hotel guests. It is a typical conference hotel, with meeting rooms on the ground floor. It also features a pool, and a small spa and sauna available for the free use of the hotel guests. read more

Hotel was easy to find, parking was in the price included as strange booked, apart from that 5 Euro per day ( too expensive!). Room was to the side of the road, very noisy with tipped window very warm -the whole night busy. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast really good. Pool and sauna excellent for relaxing. Bath too small. Beds comfortable. read more

Hotel general: hotel parking is currently only limited navigable. Hotel power shabby impression. Hotel as outside, more for people on business trip thought, public transport connection at city available, however only until midnight available. Cleanliness well, in the room on the walls stains to see, in the breakfast room the floor was very dirty with such stains. Front desk in our experience wrong room allocated, complaint was OK, breakfast wide selection, however too few Squares and it arrives we to waiting times, if travel agents are on site, size of the room sufficient, but bathroom with a toilet too small ..., if you toilet sit tight. We had room 311, air conditioning was not, footpath to the tram stop approximately 5 to 10 minutes and driving time by city about 23 minutes in the 20 minutes-tact. read more

A very nice hotel for business. The rooms are big enough and very well maintained.
The reception was very nice and friendly.
Unfortunately costs Wi-Fi in the room 9 €on the day. This is not up-to-date anymore and should be for free.
The bathtub with a shower is a bit too high set (or the ceiling is too low). I'm only about 174 centimeters ( large/small) and am almost with my head the ceiling on trip advisor, if I wanted to shower.
If you want something bigger, makes the showers no fun-)
Positively mentioned should be it should ... be, that the swimming pool and the sauna free shared can be. read more

Sufficient standard as with most Mercure-hotels-but with little charm. This hotel chain is apparently on the a-night guest set, with evening you do not want to lots to do have. Great however the breakfast, which was rich and good. read more

the location is not so great. Not for night owls. The hotel and the service are good. The rooms are nice and spacious. The view from the window rather dull. The price for the breakfast with 18 euros completely covered. For the Internet strong got is probably typical for this chain. read more

Good hotel with small problems when it comes to cleanliness (sticky drink edges on the bedside table). The breakfast is rather simple style of a motel, this means there is no fish or salads. Good bar with friendly service department. read more

We were now already for the fourth time in Hotel Mercure West. This twice in 2011, for a weekend of events in June and enjoy yourself July. By tram, the hotel provides a good access to the city center of Cologne. Shopping (supermarkets) are located directly across the street from the hotel. The Rhine energy stadium in 30 minutes you can even to walk. The check-in and check-out was fast and without any issues. The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet is more than enough and tasty. In front of the hotel are enough parking spaces and free. ... In the basement there is a small pool and a sauna. During our stay, there were many Dutchmen with children in the hotel (apparently on holiday trip). During our second stay at July 2011 was the whole facade newly plastered (in a deep dark red). Since it was the weekend in the hotel, there was no taking up many spaces. The general condition of the hotel was the typical Mercure-standard. If you can imagine a bit outside of the city, will certainly feel right at home. read more

We stayed at this hotel and had booked idol for 1 night only. Was ok, is however only three stars and not to compare with other mercure. Is located outside of cologne and industrial area, so absolutely nothing going on, but it didn't bother us. read more

Traveled with the car from switzerland. Easy access to highway. Very friendly staff. Rooms are well equipped. We liked it very much.
Unfortunately, the location of the hotel is in the industrial zone and therefore centre of cologne far away. Tram nearby (5-8 minutes to foot) marsdorf station (about every 30 Minutes).
Good possibility for shopping (lidl, edeka, dm, large shoe shops and many more immediate Nearby). Would recommend it to others and look forward to the next stay. read more

all in all I can say, in this hotel a marvelous stay in Cologne had. The hotel lies in a art industrial park and is a good starting point for all kinds of excursions in the city. In the surrounding area are McDonalds and Co., but also Rossmann or supermarkets.
the room was good size for two people and modernly decorated. The bathroom is spacious and clean.
we chose only the catering breakfast in the hotel, but it was very delicious and rich.
I would recommend this hotel for a city trip to Cologne absolutely recommend. Have fun! read more
