- Room
Our double room was relatively big with a huge balcony, from where you a magnificent view has. Since wood of the mostly used building material is, spray the rooms the charm of a puppenhauses. Everything is a bit winding and quaint. Also seems the time here mostly to be warp. Our room was but completely harmonious and functional decorated and in spotless condition.
The shower with a toilet (also very winding) was comfortable and the fittings were still very new.
On our room there is however no tv. To watch tv, you can relax in a lounge pass.
- Gastronomy
There is on the ground floor a small restaurant next door and a bigger chamber. The restaurant inn-style is not only from the guests, but also the locals use. One gets here small and large dishes in good quality and not overpriced. The focus is on regional cuisine.
The breakfast buffet was varied, also late breakfast. There were also regional sausage and cheese, but the fruit selection something could have been more largely.
Furthermore is in front of the house a small outdoors.

Very friendly, courteous and uncomplicated staff with good foreign language skills.
You have the feeling here welcome.

Outside of the hotel you will find everything, which one of sport and must come up with in the mountains search could be.

Nice, quaint hotel in chalet-style, right in the centre of kandersteg.
The familiar and friendly managed hotel has capacity for about 20 guests and in the positive sense, a bit of the charm of an old puppenhauses, whereby the comfort not to short.
There is a possibility, in addition to a rich breakfast buffet in the on-site restaurant, to book half board.
At that point in time our visit was the guest structure very international, first of all german, american and australian.
- Location
The hotel is located directly in the center of kandersteg, embedded in a wonderful mountain panorama (if the weather allows).
We only had the hotel for the passing through to Italy use it, but the hotel is also as a starting point for wanderlustige and skiers in the bernese oberland, the longer'd like to stay.
For the passing through in the south the hotel is especially because its direct proximity to lötschberg- autoverladung and therefore easy access to the simplonpass., as an alternative to always crowded drive over or through the gotthardmassiv. Furthermore there is a bus stop in right in front of the hotel.
