We booked this hotel for one night at the end of a round trip. It is very centrally located, within a few minutes walk, for example, of the high street and the castle.
Our room was under the roof, had only two small windows and was embrasures as very small. But it was relatively newly renovated and very nicely decorated. Since we were only there very briefly, it was OK.
The breakfast was very good! Cereal, fruit, bread rolls, toast, sausage and cheese, but also typical British breakfast, on the card can arrange and the freshly prepared in the kitchen. ... The departure of Scotland I have time haggis-really delicious!
As our ordered transfer to the airport not showed up, the front desk helped us promptly and well. read more

Empfehlenswertes Hotel.

Sehr empfehlenswert! read more

The hotel is an old Natursteinbau, formerly a hospital. The decor is modern and typically British. The hotel is in a great location - it is about 5 - 10 minutes on the Grassmarket, a central square in the old town of Edinburgh. You can practically all downtown Edinburgh explored on foot. From the airport you can take the bus 35 almost directly in front of the hotel - stop high Riggs. The rooms are different. At first we had a room on the lower level, and is wheelchair accessible, but not necessarily recommended: The bathroom was for able-bodied people ... who appreciate a bit hard to get used to, the bed was too narrow for two persons and our traveling companions had to complain about a dirty sheets. Apart from the bed linen was the cleanliness however, in a good location. After the change in one of the upper floors we found was much better rooms. Another negative is also the vent for the bathrooms which are already unpleasant black tile grouting emerged. The staff is friendly and helpful - requests are immediately dealt with. You should speak English. The breakfast is good - there, but you can get full Scottish breakfast put together individually. read more

Our room was very, very small! With two suitcases and hand luggage the room was already too full. Unfortunately the room was in very bad condition. The walls, drapes, and bathroom were dirty and not in a good condition. Stains everywhere. Strange was also as it is less than a toilet brush was in the bathroom. On request we were told that would NOT usual Very strange. The decor was a bit dated and very dark. Ok, we knew that this is a "old building" but the rooms were bright and friendly. Our towels were unfortunately also dirty. Stains and ... traces of the owners were unfortunately to find. In the bathroom/toilet was hardly any place and right on the first day we noticed a wood trim before the feet: -( breakfast was unfortunately not included and had to be paid at £6.95 extra. This was fresh and fine. read more

Nice hotel in the heart of Edinburgh. Typical redbrick property with towers and bay. Hotel has a patio where you don't park (only a short distance to unload the luggage or). Parking for a fee is supposedly nearby, but we didn't need it. Cleanliness is ok! Breakfast was not included. 6.50 GBP per person if you to upload it. read more
