Hotel lies in a very nice bay as in Maritius presents. However a bit lonely in other hotels are left and right. Restaurants, shops are only by taxi or bus. The hotel is in a very beautiful open architecture built. Rooms are large and clean. Lies directly at the beach with two large pools. Food is very good however also expensive if you don't booked all inclusive has. read more

Reviews of other guests in the last few months we can only say, that we had a great holiday in this hotel spent have. The service in all areas was almost perfect. A few things you can and must, so we thought, overlooked. It is crucial, that these minor problems quickly and did the hotel in every respect. Can I complain, only, because two small towels in the room or a package Q-tip? A short call and less than five minutes later the items were there and partly even a little later I asked, if everything was to our satisfaction. ... Room was cleaned everyday extremely thorough and nightly turn-down service except for one night, than to 22:00 still nobody was there, always on time and quick. There was also a call and I believe, I did not back the receiver cheerful, when it was at the door. You can, if you want, in any hotel in the world get a lot of things, but it does the holiday really better? If five to 5.5 stars are not enough, the just six stars, but you couldn't find something, if you are looking for. In short, if you are looking for a great quiet (the location is really very secluded, only four other hotels in the area) holiday want to spend a good to very good food and a extremely friendly and helpful staff, the grand Mauritian, in our opinion is the place to go. And always remember: as one called in the forest. If there are any questions, I am quite happy for more extensive information available! read more

Great hotel area, but for the money you could expect more.
All in all, you feel at ease, the complex was extensive and generous laid out.
wide Breakfast buffet, left nothing to be desired- something for everyone, for small children. Including freshly squeezed juices
The restaurants in the hotel area were just as good, but expensive.
For all other recommends a rental car, you can easily on the ground (free!), the Wi-Fi Internet access in the lobby area were booked.
You could find cheap and good food in various restaurants in walking distance.

We had in the hotel two-week holiday booked; unfortunately overbooked. So we were the possibility given, the first week at the oberoi to spend. Between the two hotels are worlds apart. The food at the grand was so la la( mass processing); a huge difference to the oberoi. The prices of the drinks were in about the same.
The room service was not exactly perfect. Something was always missing; a second towel, the mosquitoes distributors, the bed was not covered, a peanut was also after a week in a corner. One day the bed was not even get shaken out. ... These are all minor, but something like that should not take in a five stars Hotel not happen.
The beach is beautiful beach chair possibilities, is however very coarse.
Overall, the hotel was not bad, but in our opinion it is not a five stars Area. We can only partially recommend the hotel; the oberoi in any case ☺ read more

If you are looking for a long, fine sandy sandy beach, this is not the place to go. But if you are on the reef nearby snorkeling want and great service, the is right at home here. The hotel offers twice daily a complimentary boat shuttle to the outer reef on, which is well worth it.
We especially recommend a visit to the Spa!
For excursions you book a taxi and driver.
We had a very nice and relaxing holiday the grand Mauritian and can highly recommend it. read more
