We have the cheap accommodation dialed, you sleep there only! During the day is one (we ) in the water or on the couch on a book. The room was small, but for our bags and us for sleeping enough. The resort is only praise.
Breakfast is with selection of european and asian sufficient and good.
In the restaurant are lots of guests also from other resorts, as it tasted and the value for money one the best in tulamben is. The fresh fruit juices are great and varied.
The beach is great! New, intact equipment connected with friendly and helpful tauchlehrern -what more can one more. After a escorted diving day in the bay well get along. In spite of the limited number of diving spots you will find at every dive something new. We could have stayed longer, if not the vacation so soon would be. read more

The hotel is on a narrow strip, the main street to the beach leads. Nevertheless is all very green and well maintained. The beach consists of black lava rock and is for swimming not really suitable.
Directly at the beach is also the restaurant. The food was very good and worth the money.
On the complex the in the shade the mangobäume attached hammocks as our favorite proven.
The rooms are rather small, but with large bathroom. Only the door is for europeans who too small.
The Wi-Fi is not the fastest, but always reliable work.
The hotel is mainly ... of divers from various countries. In the lower part the hotel is the diving school. It is also the only negative. The rental equipment was partly in a pathetic condition. I'have never experienced.
There is directly in front of the hotel a smaller, but beautiful reef, where one not deep down must. Right on a cliff diving. To the left it goes to the wreck of the liberty, where is always busy. Altogether is tulamben a very nice diving area. Only on windy days the currents can be very strong.
Altogether the hotel has a great value for money and get therefore a unlimited recommendation. read more

A very good dive resort for budget travellers and addicted divers. Excellent value for money,very good for any kind of dive activity. A safe place for learning to dive,and a good massage after.

The rooms are sparsely equipped and very small. The complex makes a very narrow impression. For divers the hotel is nevertheless very good. A reef and wreck is right in front of the hotel in the sea. For divers, there is equipment to lend. Therefor I recommend this hotel only for divers. Apart from that there are nearby more beautiful installations. read more

Diving, relax and spa are here at the foreground. Plus good food. Perfect for divers. For us, better than Liveaboard, as you diving can, when, where and how long you want. And this at reasonable prices.
The booked deluxe Ocean View bungalow was perfect. Felt but also different rooms looked once, the in our opinion fully value for money were.

' diving to Abwinken' would, comes here fully at its expense. The' girls' from the spa understand your work as well as the kitchen staff. And if one is ready, five ... straight to leave (as almost everywhere required in Asien) you can perfect holidays spend.

End of April - May we were 10 nights in Matahari in tulamben.
Short in advance. Tulamben is a small village and only has a' stony beach' Anyone who here thus a beach vacation plant is certainly not in the right spot. This was known to us and we were primarily attributable to the diving here.
We had for our stay ocean view bungalow booked, the for 2 people actually way too big and was affectionately furnished. Daily we immediately after leaving the bungalows by the cleaning forces mentioned, if we want, that the bungalow cleaned. In this point there ... was nothing to criticize, the bungalow / towels/ bed sheets were always in best order.
The complex itself is certainly not with a five star hotel comparable. But clean and tidy it was. Furthermore develops the straight new diving center. It is thus also updated-).
To the diving itself was already much written, in order to make it short. Just amazing!
In addition to the courses in tulamben are also in the nearby environment still other interesting places to dive to steep ( Amed, kubu etc.). The diving even everything was completely uncomplicated, at the end the day has been said, where and when you on the next day diving would. At this point big thank you to our guide Nengah (probably misspelled) with the we many great Dives and always on the search after small oceanlife was, what it us proud presented.
Furthermore also many thanks to Didi. With us the day trip carried out had.
In short: nice balinese complex / with friendly staff / with great value for money!

Matahari Tulamben Resort
The Matahari resort is the ideal place for divers. Not only the diving is great but the service has a lot to offer, next to spa massage there are also good food and you will be very friendly served. The staff greets always with a smile. The Resort offers different dive sites at like for instance the USAT liberty shipwreck and Coralcarden and some more, if desired, the also at outlying Tauchorte velvet Tauchequipment and one needs about nothing to worry, the erledgen everything for the customers.
The resort is surrounded by palm trees and surrounded, it ... is also very quiet there, to get away from it all and relax the right place, so you can palm leaves in the wind and the sea hear, that is very reassuring.

•everything is subject to change, nice! When should actually a resort be regenerated? (safe between new year's Eve and new year and if I as a guest not since am!)
•in the last year criticisms from the structural conditions of ... the bungalows and rooms by you ( Gudrun and Michael) loud, so that you in the neighbor hotel area wechseltet, why you're not there again checked in? Too expensive? Now here times looks, no daft questions, and not fiddled around like it you again not.
•we find it so great, that a single woman as a store alone to, and the resort as a future. Who already times always summer on the construction was involved, it could imagine. And yes Micha, some needs but for their shop in the private sector are working hard, but, the you know yes directly in your job, or?
•here in the prices to haggle, I think personally pathetic! A TG the 10,00 Euro with porter, transport and guide? Why is it not even westward, Mediterranean sea, or Amerika, also in Egypt I general price around 25:00 €for a TG bottle and lead without everything.

Went for a short diving holiday and stayed at Matahari. Staff were wonderful and very easy to work with. The dives were great. Room was nice and clean with a/c and hot water. Great experience overall. Not really a place to bring kids as the beach is just rocks, no sand and nothing for them to do, but its the ultimate diving destination read more

Matahari is a great place to stay on your Diving holiday. Right on the beach.
The beach is all black stone, beutiful, but maybe not so comfortable.
The pool in the resort is very nice though.
The atmosphere is very relaxing and easygoing. The staff in the resort is very friendly and helpful and the divecenter is well run and has a great team of diveguides.
We had a wonderful week. Fantastic diving and really delicius food.
