An overwhelming view over Ascona and the lake, beautiful rooms to be comfortable.

The hotel was as' your deal' offer booked. The full price would be however never justified. The hotel's location is amazing, great view! Short hike and you are in the middle of the streets of Ascona. Nice hotel, a lot has been renovated. Our room ( deluxe ) was really great and also newly renovated! Beautiful, big pool, garden area with sun loungers, comfortable and quiet, beautiful Palm trees and flowers all around. The food in the evening we were disappointed, in particular the menu-Compilation and the quality of meat were not at all to our taste. The service-employees were ... very friendly and extremely hard. The staff at the reception was. You can 'indifferent' call, you didn't feel welcome-could this treatment about to our ' special price' have lain.
A special rate we would choose the hotel again with room/ breakfast. read more

This informally run hotel has a wonderful view over Locarno, Ascona and the Lago Maggiore. We had a 3' bed-room and got a big room with 2 bedrooms, bathroom and massive terrace. The terrace had garden furniture and loungers for 3 people, Bathrobes and pool towels were also available. The breakfast buffet was varied and varied. We only used the half-board menu in the evening food, 4 courses and also very good, as well as the lunch by the pool. The staff are really friendly and willing to help, there is very lots of regular guests - this speaks for ... itself. Age structure mixed. The lake promenade is in circa 7 minutes away by foot reachable with many shops, bars and restaurant. We really enjoyed it and will definitely come again! read more

The hotel is very well located. The staff was friendly and attentive, there was no stress in the restaurant (dining room) with the rush hours. The choice of food at the breakfast buffet was adequate, but not very imaginative. The selections at the dinner a bit poor, on two evenings there was only one main course so no choice. The cleanliness of the room left something to be desired. Price too high. read more

Here you live like God in France. The bathroom is huge and nothing is missing! The breakfast (on the terrace!) left nothing to be desired. The pool is very clean. The Internet access is free. Wonderful hotel situated on the hillside with view on the Lago Maggiore. Very well-kept hotel area, friendly staff. Great breakfast buffet on the terrace with a view of the lake and the town of Ascona. Modern and clean rooms with terrace/balcony. Nice garden area with outdoor pool and beach chairs to enjoy and relax. Deluxe rooms are very large, modern and nicely furnished with a large terrace and everything that belonged to it.HCLFHLWe would book again at any time the hotel and can only recommend it! read more

The hotel is located above Ascona with a magnificent view of Ascona and the Lago Maggiore. It has a beautiful lobby, terrace and dining room. Car park in front of the house and free of charge. A large double room with large balcony with beach chairs, a table and chairs and wonderful views of Lake Maggiore leaves nothing to be desired. Unfortunately we had rainy, cool weather, so that we the wonderful pool with gardens couldn't use. Buffet breakfast and dinner (served) was excellent. The same is also true for the service and the entire staff. The hotel is recommended ... and we were certainly not the last time there. A note: if you can walk, it was difficult to climb the steep climb from the village to the hotel. It would be desirable, the hotel shuttle to more favourable time in the place. The hotel is located above Ascona and is in 15 minutes to the centre to reach. The ' golden years 'are long past. The room is incredibly expensive for what it offers. Of course, it must be borne in mind, that is more expensive in Ascona, however, makes this place the price/performance ratio not at all. The following deficiencies in a room that was 'at the back ': stains on the carpet, stains on the comforter, press pan shelves already broke apart, toilet with dark stains, holes in the wallpaper, holders of anything the useless in the bathroom hung (broken)-all ... in all not worth the money at all. The single room for my son was a cupboard. And for SFR. 115, -per night. Is A Disgrace! Of course you can get better rooms, which will cost considerably more. But for total SFR 345, -per night, you should expect a certain standard.HCLFHLHCLFHLThe breakfast was very good, there was nothing missing. Also the view on the terrace was very nice, the ladies at the front desk were very, very friendly and competent. The lobby is tastefully furnished and clean. The first impression was actually very good.HCLFHLHCLFHLBut only so you can't these prices for this performance. read more

The hotel has not deserved 4 star Ascona the Superior room is like a hospital room of the AMI-clinic the bathroom was certainly already 25 years old, the tv definitely 20 years. 440-SFR. the room costs in the day a stotzer price for 3 star facilities. The garden area was the star. In the afternoon there is no service by the pool and in the lobby until 18:00. The dining room seemed like a big hall in white without plants. read more

The hotel is clearly not the indicated stars and is quite clearly too expensive. The beautiful location and the size of the rooms are the only positive thing. The staff at the front desk is rude and the atmosphere in the hotel reminded me of a nursing home. It is filled with all inclusive-hiking holidays-tourists and is not set in their ability to communicate in other travellers. We are to play golf there and booked this hotel, because it is a golf hotels in the area. The price/performance ratio was right but not at all. We can not recommend this ... place. read more
