The hotel lies directly at the beach promenade and not far away of the historic part of town and the center from Marbella. It has an underground car park, as in Marbella is very important. Room and bathroom were very big, also the balcony with lateral view of the sea. The selection and quality at the breakfast buffet were very good. We have it very much. We felt the swimming pool for the size of the hotel too small. The loungers were close together. The bar could have been a little more atmosphere may have. This hotel lies directly on the beach opposite of the center, great for exploration from Marbella and excursions on the costa del sol and the pueblos blancos (white villages) in the hinterland. It is worthwhile, the extra charge for a room with sea view to pay, because the sea view is really worth it, the through the narrow buildings in Marbella one sees otherwise only on the neighboring massive hotels.
Who with a car travels, should the underground car park book, the parking spaces are rarity.
When booking with half board is the dinner in the neighboring hotel ( about ... 300 meters away) restaurant. Whether it always like that is or only outside of the season, I can't say. read more

The hotel is conveniently located. The promenade, the beach, the center and the beautiful old town are on foot reachable in a few minutes. Our room with lateral view of the sea was all right. The view of the represents is matter of taste. One such a development may. The hotel building stands beside various high rise buildings at the beach. The outdoor swimming pool is very nice. In the winter months however not heated. The loungers are close to the pool arranged. Under the hotel there is a parking garage. Parking for the hotel guests costs 12 Euro per ... day. Who not in the hotel stays pays 18 Euro on the day. Is very recommendable the rich breakfast, you also by the pool take can. Best was the location the hotel pleased. One is in a few minutes in the beautiful old town and the city on foot explore. read more

The hotel is altogether in well-kept condition. The location directly at the beach and in the immediate vicinity of wonderful old town from Marbella speak for the hotel.
The dinner in buffet form was in another hotel the fuerte -chain some hundred meters further offered, which however in principle not a problem represented. The staff in the dining room, both for breakfast, as well as for dinner, was partly inattentive, dirty plates were not always immediately clear and piled up from time to time the lighting in longer time.
The breakfast buffet was very diverse, omelet and crêpes etc. Were ... fresh at the stove prepared. Furthermore was always sufficient cold cuts, fruit etc. Available and regularly refilled.
The dinner in buffet form was also good, meat and fish were also fresh at the stove prepared.
Unfortunately was the cutlery not always clean, on the glasses, we have lippenstiftrückstände found. At a four star hotel this must not happen. Because altogether was the atmosphere and the atmosphere during dinner in the neighboring hotel actually very positive. Actually unfortunately, that the staff not on the ball was. Of course, exceptions prove the rule.

The hotel is in a perfect location, directly at the beach and promenade with innumerable restaurants and bars.
On foot to the center 10 minutes.
Parking in Marbella as in every other city bad, however, there is the possibility a
TG-place to rent (12 Euro on the day).
The hotel has already better days, it would be desirable, if the furniture regularly cleaned
Would be (substances the chairs and bed).
Breakfast is of good quality.

The hotel is from the outside a typical hotel with unspectacular architecture, though first and foremost neither positively nor negatively. Only once inside arrived, you are then pleasantly surprised. A spacious lobby, nice reception, lots of space, everything very stylish. You have to at the check-in not wait, immediately someone come running.
English not a problem at all, at least a lady at the front desk speaks also german (at least in our trip was someone there). The hotel makes everywhere one really clean impression - no matter wether lobby, rooms, pool, or elevators! read more

We were altogether 7 days the 08-15. June in the hotel Fuerte Miramar & spa and it was a wonderful vacation. But now only the row after-)
We landed at the airport in Malaga ( the airport is not so big and very well laid out), since we only 2 excursions in the week had planned, we opposed a rental car and chose the arrival after Marbella by bus. Directly opposite of the exit is the bus ticket-Switch (bus company Portillo), the switch is the only ticket booth and not to overlooked, apart from that simply ask someone. There ... are 2 possibilities after Marbella to, either the right -bus or with the bus on Malaga bus train station.
We chose the right -bus Option Length 45 minutes costs 6 Euro one way per person, this runs through until est. Autobus Marbella. (the river you will find under www. Avanzabus. COM the way to select and already the particular Times ). The arrival was in the air-conditioned touring bus, suitcase here in the bus downstairs in the luggage rack be accommodated.
At the bus station arrived we took us a taxi, every driver knew the Fuerte Miramar, here lay the cost depending on traffic at 6.50- 7,50 Euro. In the hotel arrived the check in was quick and easy, we spoke English, some coworkers could but also perfect German. We had a room without a balcony, with side old town view.
The rooms are spacious, with wooden floor, on tv there are about 9 German program available, also on the 7th floor large window ( also in the bathroom) for opening, bed with continuous mattress and large blanket, closet with free safe, mini bar ( here we could our food cool), free of charge Wi-Fi and air conditioning available. The bathroom is tiled with bath tub included shower. Only one negative, it was only 1 free socket available, you can but also Lamp unplugging and you will have two. But all in all it was a great room.
The cleaning and the change of towels took place every day pristine. The whole hotel is really very clean and tidy, the staff friendly and attentive. I had only booked accommodation and breakfast and can this really recommend to anyone, the breakfast buffet is a dream, here is really something for everyone there: freshly squeezed juices, champagne, various bread/ rolls and sausage/ Cheeses and so delicious Confectionery muffins, donuts, pastries, etc., it was every day a chef as the fresh omelets and crepes prepared. We could always choose, if we in the hotel or outside ( with a view of pool area) wanted to eat breakfast. The pool area is with numerous loungers stocked, the pool itself is a bit small, but for cooling, etc. OK, if you have a sun screen requires turning on the pool boy and this concerned a. Fresh towels receives one also he (hand towel cards you got during the check in). The beach ( is only through promenade from the hotel separated ) was clean chairs and sunscreens available ( costs 4 Euro p. person/day). Here as already mentioned Lymphatic drainage offered (partial massage 15 Euro, full body massage 30 Euro).
To meals, about 400 meters away there is a supermarket ('Open Corr' - all day open, EC-machine available). On the beach promenade and in the old town ( what really no 5 minute walk away) you will find many good restaurants.
The old town marbella is really nice, lots of small Alleys, in any case see you: Plaza de los naranjos, Alameda-park, old fortress, the Church and forecourt, beach promenade and of course the Marina Puerto banus.
From the hotel a 'Marbella old town tour' with a small Eco -bus offered, is however not recommendable there the bus only the outside rum drives.
For shopping there are a lot of small boutiques in the old town, the shopping mall La Canada ( north of the city bus line 1 from the hotel aUS), or El Corte Ingles amongst others in Puerto banus.
Bus station right on supermarket Open Corr, bus line 1 runs to/from the marina Puerto banus, cost 1,16 Euro p. person. Also is very recommendable the passage with of the kids Ferry 'ferry blue' from the Puerto Deportivo after p. Banus, super over the sea too schippern and then to p. Banus arrive, between all the yachts costs-a single journey cost 8.50 back & forth 15 Euro Duration about 30 minutes
We have 2 excursions by bus to Gibraltar and Malaga done. We drove with the taxi the bus station in Marbella, because it on foot too far (we tried once 40 minutes uphill. )
For the journey to Gibraltar one selects the stretch direction Algeciras with stopover la linea Conception (schedules under www. Avanzabus. COM ) cost 6,76 Euro single fare p. person. From la linea everything is well signposted, one crossed the runway at the airport from Gibraltar, directly afterwards there is a bus station, here you can for 2 Euro a day ticket buy and by bus the island explore. ( we went on foot on the rocks, is already rather far * g *). On the rocks arrived we took the cable car up and down, cost 14 Euro p. person (also affordable in Euro). On the rocks one has super a view (up to Afrika) and of course the main attraction the Berberäffchen-)
For the journey to Malaga we chose the right -bus, costs were with 5,35 Euro single fare p. person. Here one comes from the bus station to on foot to all sights, whose who want to can but also for 16 Euro a day ticket at the hop on hop off bus buy and the city explore. Small tip, opposite the bus station there is a great shopping center:-)
There are also various excursions ( Sevilla, Granada, Gibraltar, Tanger, etc. From the hotel provides cost 70/ 80 Euro) these are usually cheaper than if you on the tour operator bay.
To the airport we drove back with the right bus Malaga airport. By the way can one the tickets a few days before at the ticket counter in Marbella est. Autobusses buy, so one has to required Its place in the bus.
It was a great vacation, Marbella is more than worth a trip and if we come again than in any case to this hotel again:-) read more

A very nice hotel( hotel pool a bit small but was all right) and really friendly staff... The direct beach area was perfect-with the adjacent beach promenade, the old town a few minutes walk...
Food-we only had breakfast but it was perfect a lot of choice and very tasty
The only negative the food is outside from the hotel a bit more expensive as one is used by Austria...
But we would in any case once again the Costa del Sol to

Well situated town hotel directly at the kilometer-long promenade. Pool and garden a bit small but OK. The rooms were clean and well equipped. In the hotel there is a parking garage (12 Euro per day, is however normal for Marbella. ). Internet in the entire hotel via Wiki available. We would anytime again book. read more

Massive hotel block, super location directly at the beach and promenade 7 kilometer to Puerto banus lovely without cars! Central short walk to the wonderful old town. Nice equipped rooms without carpet all rooms with
2 (04) Eckbalkone that looks great on old port, as well as directly on the sea, but through the ecklage very quickly be. Generous bathroom with a window! Positive sea water-pool. The beach not the straight hit many rock and not very well maintained. Perhaps it is because of the season. Breakfast buffet super selection. We were a week long end of April in Marbella, it was clearly still pre season and it was also good so. The hotel is very large and I dare not imagine, what here in the summer los is (and what challenges of the logistics of the hotel this entails ). At this time is however everything was good, place by the pool, no queues at the lifts eTC. We had a beautiful room with a view of the sea. The hotel lies perfect: directly at the beach and diagonally opposite the old town. The breakfast buffet is great and ... very plentiful, lunch or evenings we didn't in the hotel dinner, there are but also really enough other possibilities in Marbella, from tapas to fish. We had a rental car and various excursions made, but is Marbella good as a starting point: Ronda about 1 hour, Tarifa, Granada, Córdoba each about 2 hours away. Hotel Sonnenberg: the prices in the hotel bar are for my taste too high, as well as the costs for the underground car park (12 euros per day) - a other possibility, stress free nearby parking, but there is not. A bit older, but still nice and centrally located Hotel. Since our arrival late in the evening and the restaurant was already closed, we were after checking in our room with a prepared dinner surprised! The room (with a partial view of the sea) and a nice balcony with a large double bed, flat screen tv, fridge and well-functioning air conditioner. The bathroom left nothing to be desired and was daily cleaned perfectly both. The breakfast and evening buffet were excellent, if you stay here find nothing pitiful. The beach was reachable immediate adjoining promenade. Beach chairs for guests use ... per person per day three, 50 Euro. On the beach, the hotel small restaurant. Annoying, however, that unfortunately also on the terrace restaurant from traders watches, sunglasses, bags and other 'high-quality branded' harassed.
