The hotel has approximately 200 rooms, on several residential buildings are divided into. The whole hotel area in a sprawling jungle-like garden facility. By the garden meanders but a man-made brown river, accordingly pets are available. From about 6:30 p. m. the cicadas and frogs with their loud music. The guests were mainly german, all age groups represented, including some families with children. Free wi-fi there was only in the lobby bar. You want to the existing 2 pcs or the wifi also in the room or at the beach use, you have to at the front desk prepaid ... cards (2 hours 150 Bhat, 5 hours 300 Bhat.) Buy. The hotel offers a taxi service (for example to phuket /900 Bhat/person) and relatively expensive excursions. read more

    We had a superior room on the ground floor with a view of the pool and it was, as well as the bathroom with the toilet, clean, relatively big and spacious. The room was equipped with a tv, air conditioning, hair dryer, safety deposit box, mini bar, mosquito killer (we got 2 new platelet it) and kettle. The door to the balcony had a mosquito net and we had also no ' pets ' in the room. The condition the furniture was alright. The room was however very badly soundproofed.

    The breakfast in buffet form was sufficient and something for everyone there. There were some kinds of sausage and cheese, bread and toast, fresh fruits and fruit salad, yogurt, cereals, eggs in all variants, warm local dishes, french toast, pancakes, vegetables, and so on. The fruit juices tasted unfortunately partially very artificial and were not fresh squeezed. Some food (for example sausage) it took a long time, until they refilled again. You could the breakfast on the terrace (smoking and non-smoking) or in the interior area of the restaurant take. For the small hunger there was at the beach bar small snacks (spaghetti, toast, salad, chips, ice cream, cake...) Relatively fair prices. Value for the beverages or cocktails the pool - in bar and beach bar were okay. What we didn't like, were the opening times the pool - in bar. Dared oneself one there already times in the water, the bar was usually at the time between 16:00 until 16:30 o'clock closed, no matter wether guests were present or not.     From the staff at the reception and some of the service staff we were quite disappointed. The staff speaks partly no or almost no english, seemed very bored and the smile fake. Check-in/check-out worked quickly and easily. We requested the staff at reception us tickets for a flight print and had so our difficulties. After 5 failed try we could then a day before the planned departure in the 'office' and the right sides even impress. The request for a late check-out on the day of departure (takeoff 00:00 a. m.) we were initially unfriendly comforted 'no fully booked' -finally, we were allowed the room then a extra charge of 1000 Bhat until 18:00 o'clock but still use. The cleaning of the rooms was very clean and absolutely okay. The towels and beach towels were on request changed daily. The beds were every 2 days freshly changed. Services such as laundry service and massage weren't used. We have our laundry in the small massagesallon beside the tigerbar washed (1 kilo costs circa 60 Bhat) and got it washed and ironed in clip back. For the massage we are at the beach from the hotel a bit to the left run, it is very recommendable, 1 hour costs circa 300 Bhat.

    In this hotel there are no animation and hardly any leisure time activities. It is a very peaceful hotel for relaxing - if you're looking for action is not in the right place here. There is a ping pong table, pool table (for a fee), a small fitness room (a few free weights, stationary bike, and a treadmill), a volleyball court and a small playground for children. The hotel has 4 pools and 1 children's swimming pool with slide. The cleanliness the pool is up to the pool with the pool - in bar alright. Exactly what we wanted, quiet leafy area and once we our room got the we had booked, (first we were in the main building and we were ), we could pure relaxation enjoy. The complex sees on the first glance scruffy but we must rethink. When we fall in the autumn the leaves, here the entire year and the gardeners are every day in continuous service. Breakfast is great. Guest structure is european mixed. read more

    We had a deluxe room and were first in the main building. Everything new through the dark furniture unfortunately also very dark. View into the inner court on 30 other balconies.     The pools on the complex are top the expensive pool access you can save, we had a room on the 2. floor and could see that the mini on the day maybe 15 minutes. The loungers are in comparison with the other hotels top and even for late risers there is still a space. We are early risers and at 8:00 o'clock still a place in the first row received. Pool chair reservers there is obviously only where they were wanted we anyway not. Shower unfortunately only a at the beach

    Below the lawn is the beautiful beach for runners may be. Too short for walker ideal. Contrary to other reviews are the prices in town very expensive, it is cheaper in Khao Lak itself but one must once again. The hotel has a open lobby with reception on these wooden bridges and arcades hallways to the 1a 2-story houses with a total of 236 rooms. We had a double room deluxe and our child a superior double room. The deluxe double room was obviously brand new and had a free-standing tub with ebenderdiger shower, about 40 square meters large and was in the entire much high-quality equipped than the superior double room, which was already a bit shabby and obviously already getting old was. There was the standard rather basic. Since one however the entire day at the beach ... is, it is nevertheless more than adequate. The rooms were very clean.     Because we as already mentioned 2 different kinds of rooms booked, this is as mentioned above also quite different. Our room was very nice and furnished to a high standard and with the room from our child we can only say, that always very clean was however already a bit shabby and much basic. Here was the air conditioning much louder and the storage space in the open closet very little. In the room was a kettle available and it was coffee and tea made available. The bathroom was in both rooms big enough. In the simple double rooms was no separate shower, this was with a bath in a. The suns the facilities i will therefore for the deluxe rooms assigned.

    We only had the breakfast. There was american breakfast buffet. The selection was enough. We would be from time to time rolls and a bit more selection of cereal or yogurt very wish. Since we don't like for breakfast warm food, the selection was then but very limited. The dinner in the hotel we sadly didn't use it, but i think, you should definitely try once, because it looked so some evening very good. Places to eat are in a few minutes within walking distance.

    The staff was always very friendly. Here we can only say, that the thailänd. Friendliness at all staff no matter wether cleaning staff, service at breakfast or, bar, licensed massage therapists, but also the ladies at the reception was available. Everyone is always cared about one and i would like, that you were satisfied. We were occasionally asked, whether something is missing and, if the cleaning were satisfied. The rooms are obviously once again in the afternoon for cleanliness examined. The cleaning of the rooms was every day very good. The beach cloths, which we on the balcony to dry had were changed daily. We had no complaints. We wanted to at our arrival, that our beds private camper caravans that are arranged and we are not two separate beds. This was within a couple of minutes done.

    While we were there were every day enough chairs available, but the famous' reservers' were also there, of course. It seems some tourists absolutely every day on the same square to. Annoying was also, that some of them only against lunch appeared. It should be but just smile at. Sports facilities in the hotel we didn't use. Because of the many rocks or stones in the water no sport offers such as jet ski or catamaran offered.

    The hotel is located right next to beach. The hotel's location is wonderful for those seeking peace. No mass processing and in the area there are only a few hotels. At the beach you could the peace and quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The location our deluxe -room number 2307 was however nearby the lobby and from there it was to the beach a hike. At the beginning we had trouble with the almost jungle-like garden to find. In the town Khao Lak one drives with the 'taxi' for 150 bht.     We had a superior room (4340) in the upper floor of the older part the hotel. The furnishings and size was alright and the air conditioning worked perfect. Because of the great everything seemed gloomy, dark wood furniture, terrakottafarbene tiles and grey walls. The lighting could have been a bit brighter, particularly on the mirror in the bathroom. Our balcony was from the afternoon sun so heated, that one it also in the late evening hardly could use it.

The hotel are really very nice laid out. It is in a tropical landscape integrated, so that you the size of the hotel hardly noticed. The buildings see beautiful and fit of consignments tropical picture. It is consistently clean and is in a good state. While we were there, there were mainly german (Bayern) and scandinavian in the hotel. All age groups were available. Which wi-fi is concerned, it is not so great, there only in the lobby, with expensive drinks, usable. read more

The most beautiful i found the terrace, as you had the feeling had in the middle in the jungle to eat. Lunch we once at the beach bar a snack food. That was both reasonably priced and delicious.     The southern part of Khao Lak. It is quite quiet, the beach is great and spacious, you will find quiet places. For me the most beautiful beach of khao lak. Because of the seclusion is however the price level partially covered. To the center drive vans for 150 Bhat a distance, you need about 10 minutes and the distance not within walking distance, as it is on a busy street along goes. The on-site restaurants we were always in another are comparably good. It has always tasted, the people are friendly and nice atmosphere.

All previous positive comments on the hotel i can only confirm. Only drawback (as in most versus): nonsmoker protection is as good as not available - private balcony hardly usable, if left and right of it smoked On the lawn dasselben between loud smokers can tell you anything more from the ocean breeze. Only for breakfast there was a smoker and nichtrauchereich. Here there are everywhere on the world still lagging behind. Restaurants outside the hotel are all alright. Especially good value for money in the Tong kao (http://www. Facebook. com / #! /pages/tongkao-khaolak restaurant/ 448950678498803 )-easy to find: ... outside the holte to all other restaurants and to the major road, the right turn off. An outstandingly beautiful hotel. It consists of lots of small terraced houses, the thai style in a kind of artificial jungle scenery integrated. There is across the area lots of small swimming pools, the beautiful landscape in the hotel complex integrate. The beach is wonderful and very clean. As had the feeling, in a first class our jungle camp to stay, instead of in a typical tourist hotel. We can really recommend the hotel to anyone. read more

We have a week's swimming vacation the merlin spent, wanted to relax and no desk etc. Make. The is excellent managed. A very beautiful area directly at the beach, nice big room, through the lush vegetation in the entire resort these are somewhat dark, but not a problem for us represented. Friendly staff, delicious breakfast and as i have already mentioned a very nice beach. At night we were always in the more immediate vicinity or Khao Lak food. Mixed guest structure, lots of guests from the german-speaking area and Scandinavia. Annoying i found, the partial early chairs on the ... beach were reserved and then from lunch were full. Still was still somewhere to find a beach chair. Otherwise i can the resort absolutely recommend read more

Very well maintained quiet hotel. Was optimal in the jungle integrated. Rooms were big enough and every day thoroughly cleaned. Daily fresh hand towels and beach towels, and toiletries. Breakfast was very good, varied and fresh. The evening buffets are very recommendable, here you can get for ' small money ' the best treats. The chairs at the beach were in comparison to the surrounding hotels very comfortable. Staff is very friendly, if you from the ladies at the reception it's expense. Will definitely book again. read more

Masterfernbedienung to regulate all lights, as well as of the airconditioning right next to the bed. Immaculate cleanliness. Towels were changed daily. Daily free water, tea and coffee. The room cleaning was daily very thoroughly done, even the balcony was every day swept and from the foliage removed. The towels and beach towels were also changed daily. The foreign language skills of the hotel staff were absolutely satisfactory.

Our time of travel: january 2013 until february 2013. The distance from the airport about 1 hour. The hotel borders directly at the hotel emerald. The hotel complex is beautifully located in the jungle, the garden is beautifully designed. There are 4 different pools and children's swimming pool with slide available. Often swim sheets in the pool, but this is simply not be avoided, the gardeners walk daily through the complex and remove the sheets in the pools. But winds a 'brown soup' in the small stream by the whole area, these lured many mosquitos on. The beach chairs were ... already at 8:00 a. m. in the morning, probably from 'german tourists', manned, from 10:00 a. m. it was nearly impossible to get a beach chair. Own drinks are on the lawn prohibited. We had this hotel with breakfast and it was also good so, we could spontaneously after desire and mood eat out, where we wanted. Us moved it usually in the longtailboat to the main street, because the owner is still quite young and often small fun, even if it was always the same, it was always very pleasant there. In the evening between 17:00 and 6:00 p. m. before the sun goes down, the cicadas the chirping at, this is a maniac noise, but very impressive. There is also in Khao Lak many geckos and mosquitoes.     The cleaning ladies do a good job, the rooms are cleaned every day, the towels are on request changed daily and the beds were changed every two days. The pool-access rooms smell musty and the smell you get not at all more from the rooms out. Minibar with reasonable prices, tv with german-wave, large bathroom with a toilet, hair dryer, very clean. We booked a pool -access room in the descriptions, pics and holiday check reviews simply beautiful looked, new, modern, comfortable and just as you it for the price we paid would expect. First we got such a beautiful room, but without pool access and the even in 2. floor, we asked for the front desk after, what with our booked pool access is, this woman at the front desk said we get the next day our room with a pool access, because the hotel currently totally overbooked and all rooms were taken. Okay, so far so good... We were glad, that we finally showers and to bed put could, because for dinner it was already too late. Then 15 minutes later still a call, we could but in our pool access room to move, when we got there we were convinced, we are in the wrong room, this room was old, musty and with old particle board appointed, we tried the smell off and opened all doors and switched the air conditioning from, as the smell of of the airconditioning not became better. The smell was. So again to the front desk and asked, why we now such a old room get, even though we are a newer with a pool access had booked, we could further 3 old pool-access look at the room, all musty were. Since it was already late at night and the journey were exhausted, we have chosen a the room to take, and this room, the least stinky had. The bellboy had the snout despite good tip fully and was rude, when he us the 2. and 3. rooms face had. I asked him, whether he this musty smell didn't notice, but he was no answer, but only bad looks. The next day we were with the tour operator of meiers weltreisen, the then the problem cater to your had, nevertheless it has us after our request was completely ignored. We are friendly and smiling the facts recited, but for that price, we would like a tidy room, which didn't smell musty. We got 3 days then the room 2111, without pool access, but not smelly and the jacuzzi. In this room was a connecting door to another room, which was complete but here it was you could hear everything, we have our neighbor's every word understood. After all this back and forth with the rooms and the partly unfriendly, patzigen staff we had in this week but not feel welcomed. So a rudeness we have not happened and already not at all from thailändern. (perhaps also burmesen) We would have on the day of departure the room gladly until afternoon, but we could only until 12:00 a. m. in the room stay. Our flight went only around 7:00 p. m., so we could in the morning after showering neither in the pool nor into the sea. The merlin there was very often power outages.

The only deficiency was, that there is no fresh juice for breakfast there was. It was ensured that at the buffet everything was immediately refilled up and the table very quickly cleared away. Dinner there was both in the restaurant a ' la carte and themed evenings. We stayed at the asian night participated, this was in the upper restaurant and was just amazing. We also have a theme night in the beach and it was really a joke. Very much flies flew on the food at the buffet, even if the buffet in warming trays was, so fast you could not at all look, the flies in the food.

Services such as laundry service or massages too expensive. (for example we had the laundry room beside the tigerbar try, 2 t-shirts were unfortunately the small back as before and for the massage it is better, a little further to walk, at the beach direction 'left', after the many rocks at the beach is a small bar and at least 5 possibilities the massage, 250 Bhat per hour and very recommendable.)

    The hotel is quiet and was located directly on the South Beach (or Khao Lak beach called). There is a few nice restaurants as the 'long-tail-boat' on the main street, small supermarkets, atm, a currency exchange and tailors. Direct to Khao Lak 'city ' you have to go by cab. Around 10 to 15 minutes - 300 Bhat. Excursions on any case in the hotel book, these are much too expensive and pure mass tourism.

The complex made directly with our arrival a beautiful, but huge impression. The room corridor (a total of 200 rooms) are winding in a spacious, tropical garden, therefore, everything large and not crowded. To the very nice sandy beach one runs only once across the garden. But unfortunately it was at the beach almost a thing of the impossibility, a couch to get, at least, if you don't directly before or after the breakfast a ' reserved. Since we often made a trip, and lunch to the beach arrived, we had mostly the doubtful pleasure, either a place in the ... sand or directly another beach outside the hotel to visit. Also the search for a free beach chair by one of the pools was unsuccessful (we on our departure day all pools the hotel searched - no chance). Another annoyance for us was, that wi-fi only in the lobby offered free of charge. We were previously still in different other hotels on the way, there was wi-fi in the entire grounds available, what we found pleasant. The guests the merlin mainly came from the german and scandinavian, there were many couples and some families. read more

Here we found the card very european, a real thai dish we were looking for, therefore, we had and for fried rice decided, which hardly seasoned (but okay in terms of taste) on our plates ended up-we got a little chili and garlic back ordered and then it was. In the evening there were theme nights occasionally with buffet, which we did not try out however.

    The hotel is located at the Khao Lak beach, to which there was a total of about 6 resorts are. Outside the hotel there are a few shops and restaurants, which by the way priced cheap (daily rental for a motorbike 170 Bhat, dinner for 2 persons around 600 to 700 Bhat, thai massage 1 hour 350 Bhat)... However, we noticed, that the traders in the whole region Khao Lak with a very high prices start-probably you have the experience, that the tourists the stuff still buy. So has for example the seller on koh lanta (where we were before ) the price for a t-shirt 200 Bhat started, in Khao Lak it was for the same shirt 380 Bhat... That means therefore act, act, act... Then it worked with the price. We had the whole stay scooters and various waterfalls and places looked at, these are but not too many. All in all we found for us the stay of 5 days more than adequate. Recommendable is definitely a trip to the Similan Islands scuba diving and snorkeling.

We have the vacation on the beautiful beach really enjoyed, we always (even if we came later) got a beach chair. For breakfast were the staff a bit demotivated but maybe they were just tired or if i so some vacationers looked at as you tough dreinschauten i would also demotivated. The room was brilliant and was daily properly cleaned. A tip: my husband took me on the first day the maids orchideegesteckte ordered, they would very nicely put and the room looked even nicer and costs not that much. Everything was to our satisfaction and we was already repeatedly ... into Khao Lak but in the merlin it was still the best, just pure relaxation. read more

Great hotel with great service and very nice staff. The beach is well, at the peripheral areas is unfortunately also trash to find. The food is very good and varied. There is a small and sufficient fitness room. Schnupperkurse for the diving in one of the many and beautiful pools offered. At the beach you can go jogging. The food in the hotel restaurant is a little expensive than outside. Until 15:30 there is a lunch between 4 and 6 Euro inclusive drinks (pizza, pasta, feel like thai food plus fruchtshake ). On foot one reaches the next taxi ... rank, as well as restaurants and shops within 5 minutes. There are good restaurants with delicious feel like thai food. You can get to 2. for about 10 Euro inclusive drinks good food! With the taxi for 150 Bhat with maximum people (circa 4 Euro) and for 200 Bhat with more than 3 people (circa 5 Euro) after Khao Lak City drive. You sit in the back on a covered pickup. The journey takes about 10 minutes. In Khao Lak City you can to your hearts content strolling: clothes, t-shirts, towels, shorts, sunglasses and much more! The you can also dry cleaning and laundry done cheap. A visit to the happy snapper is a must, if you good cocktails and live music like. A show with shemales is served in the adjoining bang niang in the moo moo bar. read more

Our vacation was just amazing! The hotel is even beautiful, than on the pictures can be seen. The beach is really very nice and not crowded. If it becomes too boring, can for little money in the town. Hotel's own shuttle bus for the driving directions provided free of charge. The lobby offers free w-lan access. In january we were about three weeks in the merlin resort and we so far felt very comfortable. The hotel is located somewhat away from Khao Lak (about four kilometers from the centre). It is nice to nature integrated, much green around. The beautiful beach and the sea were very clean. The complex is very complicated, so beginning you has difficulties, to orient yourself. We had a couple of days problem thus, the right way to the beach or to the room back to find. Our room was very nice with a large comfortable bed and a large cover. The ... staff could be generally somewhat friendly be, in the hotel and especially in the breakfast area you miss the typical smile the thais. Neither friendly open head in our opinion nor tip changed something, which we a great shame found. So we have the in Thailand have never experienced something like that. Different was the case of the maids, all very friendly were. Our room was also always in a top condition, very clean- there is nothing to moan about. Also everywhere on the complex was the cleanliness exemplary. The breakfast was extensive and very tasty, since everyone should have found something, what him it tastes. From various breads, toast, muesli, juice, fruit, yoghurt over salads, different hot thai and international meals to pancakes, waffles and eggs in the various variations, the one with the egg station freshly prepared, was everything available, always very fresh and appetising. Also the food, we lunch at the beach restaurant got, was always delicious. Right next to the hotel there are some shops, restaurants and a taxi station, so that you easy to Khao Lak enter. Again and again we can recommend, a scooter for rent, so you are on your own the area explore can. We never bad experiences with the driving fashion the thais were made. It was definitely to, that the scooter is assured, this is usually not the case. In the Khao Lak Land Discovery you get for example with insurance, what we saw. However, there are plenty of restaurants in the immediate vicinity, as well as several mini markets and souvenir shops. The hotel lies at a slope and in the jungle integrated. The room is spacious and in top condition, especially the bathroom was piccobello what we in tropical countries rarely experienced. Lcd tv with german wave, fridge, kettle with free coffee and a safe are available. The complex is in well-kept condition and the staff always friendly and helpful. Nearby there are plenty of restaurants and small shops (be careful because the indian at the start are very pushy ),apart from that you can to Khao Lak with the taxi for about 4 €drive. A very pleasant hotel in jungle atmosphere, directly at a beautiful sandy beach located. Very warm staff, good food. One recovered well. We felt very good. Only drawback: free wi-fi only in the lobby. read more
