The location of the Lindenhof a bit above the center in Brienz is very nice, for the most part great view on the Brienzersee. The family rooms are large ( however very small bathroom) quite old/in need of renovation and partly even a bit 'musty'. The staff are friendly, in the restaurant even very friendly, the food excellent. Would the rooms remodeling would be a dream hotel. read more

the staff at the front desk was not satisfactory, unprofessional.
The price/performance ratio was not correct. The service at the dinner left a lot to be desired. We had a dry wine repeatedly recommended. The staff had no idea of wines. read more

Really an exceptional hotel with excellent cuisine of the highest quality. Unfortunately, the experience of the rooms have their best times already behind itself! We were in the water event rooms with the turntable as a bed. Was very musty and old but fun! read more

This is one of the cutest hotels I've stayed at - with absolutely delightful family apartments for families with kids. Located in a gorgeous setting on a hill (10 mins walk from Brienz station) and surrounded by snow capped mountains, lovely lake, pretty gardens and gushing waterfalls. The rooms are so creatively done - ours was one which had a tree with stuffed owl and other animals in the living room and upstairs bedrooms with the cutest kids' room with bunk beds and ceiling windowpane; and main bedroom with balcony. The indoor swimming pool and sauna has glass walls, so ... one can see the beautiful scenery outside. The restaurant serves excellent cuisine - utterly delicious french-continental choices. The gardens have a small playarea for kids and deckchairs conveniently placed to get great views of the lake below. Brienz is the prettiest town in Bernese Oberland I think - and Lindenhof is the best choice to stay at. read more
